TomahawkChop
and follow what he does. Blank = successful (thus far) 1. Lower ticket prices 2. Lower ticket prices 3. Lower ticket prices Wouldn't it be nice to see a near-full Philips Arena? Blank lowered tickets, and now freaking pre-season Falcon games are almost selling out. Gray Mule
Yep. All sports fans are not wealthy. How much does it cost a family of four to attend a Hawk's game? More than a lot of us can afford too often, I'll bet. If it works for the Falcons, it'll work for the Hawks. Gray Mule
Guest
Well overpaying Warrick Dunn(who isn't that good)was a mistake. But doesn't the league make ticket prices higher and lower?
Gray Mule
Apparently not. I didn't see anyone objecting to the Falcons cutting ticket prices. If the league set the prices, he would have been required to ask them if it was O.K. Gray Mule
Admin chillzatl Posted August 18, 2002 Admin Report Share Posted August 18, 2002 he also removed about 10k seats from the dome so that games WOULD sell out. But lowering ticket prices was a nice gesture. One part of it is that AOL/TW owns the Hawks and Arthur Blank (along with a few others) owns the Falcons. AOL/TW is going to take a LOT more red tape to get things done.
Guest Walter
...was better than a good enough gesture. Either way you get what you pay for. W
