ggp
1-- Belkin owns 30% of the team. That intitles him to participate in the decisions of the team. He has enough equity to argue his point of view and possibly affect what other owners decide to do with their votes. It does not give him the right to run the team against the wishes of the majority. 2-- Blocking this trade undermines the GM. A good leader hires good people and delegates his authority. BK was hired to do his job because he is more capable of doing so than any of the owners. Giving BK the authority to work deals then pulling that authority away is poor leadership. I don't know anything about this Belkin guy, but you would think that he should know something about leadership. Conclusion: The rest of the ownership group needs to relieve Belkin of his title and run the team as the majority rules.
spid3167
Hopefully the court decision on Tuesday bares that out. Belkin is only acting in the best interest of his no longer secret identity, Captain Peckerhead, not the Atlanta Hawks or the NBA. At least cheap skate Donald Sterling is 100% majority owner of the forever woeful Clippers. The Pricked One, if given a chance will line his own pockets while peddling an imitation team from his pearch up in Boston. He'd also let the young talent go as soon as their contracts where up. His ridiculous non-competitive 32m cap say's everything you need to know about this d*ck.
