  1. Just left the arena... JC looked horrible
  2. about to be pretty even on the season net rating. We been getting ugly wins and getting punked in losses.
  3. i was at the game.... we're probably the worst shooting team in the league but it felt like everything they threw up went in and everything we shot bricked.
  4. i love giannis... drives me nuts that we were gonna take him instead of dennis if he had slipped another pick
  5. thanks, i was at the game so didn't know if bob/nique caught it live.
  6. the one play trae pissed me off on was when we were down 7 or 8 in the 4th, Nate wanted a timeout, rest of the team stopped running up the floor and trae bricked a layup, leading to another FG from Markkanen to push the lead to 10. A basket out of the timeout would've kept the game within reach.
  7. nate needs to stop running those lineups with 4 bench guys w/ DJM or Trae, no one on the second unit can consistently create for themselves. Let Hunter or Collins run as a #2 option for those minutes.
  8. JJ also probably hasn't played more than like 30 games in a year in his whole life lol
  9. he'll definitely get burned a lot on D this season from the lack of exp but he is a perfect fit in the 2nd unit when trae's off the floor while the rest of the lineup is solid on D
  10. it's nice having a 2nd #1 option when trae can't get it going
  11. haliburton is such a stud... easily the best player in that class. so many teams whiffed on that one. And even the team that drafted him gave him away lol
  12. that's not my only criteria, but it's one that should be met imo, if winning is purely a team accomplishment then we wouldn't be talking about star players. I don't even consider reggie/daugtherty, zo anywhere close to superstar status. you just turned this whole discussion into a joke.
  13. you're really twisting my words. I've already said those guys are all super stars, trae is a superstar, wtf are you talking about amassing enough talent to become a superstar? the celtics team played in an era with 4 playoffs team, that's not comparable to the modern game that we are having a discussion over. once again, i make a distinction between between generational superstar and generational talent. Tons of generational talent, but very few generational superstars with extended winning pedigree. LBJ took a f***ing garbage team to the finals with larry hughes and drew gooden, what tampering?
  14. I used Final as the criteria, not rings. Iverson, Barkley, Malone all made it out of the conference and played in the finals, jokic/embiid/luka have not. I've been careful about making a distinction between generational star, superstar, and generational talent. There are more generational talent than generational superstar. I think the latter needs significant amount of winning to earn that label.
  15. out of 15, only 2 have never made it to the finals. Jokic is a superstar and i think generational talent, but generational star means something else to me. Hakeen has only 1 mvp, does that mean you'd rank jokic over the dream?
  16. hmm i didn't put them in order? if anything embiid, luka, jokic are the fringe ones for me, none of them have even been out of the conf finals yet
  17. that's pretty subjective, there's been plenty of great guards since the 80s.
  18. he's gotta be clear cut top 5 in the league right now to even be in this discussion lol. He's fringe top 10 at best (in no order) kd, lbj, step, embiid, jokic, giannis, luka... the next ten are all pretty much interchangeable.
  19. superstar yes, generational star no.
  20. rockets led memphis entering the 4th, ppl wanna say these r scrub teams we are playing but this is the stretch of the season where young teams can catch you offguard.
  21. dre played a good game, only complaint was there were multiple times he had tiny gordon guarding him and settle for a mid range. Bully the dude and take it in the paint.
  22. keldon johnson got 4/74, def don't think dre is worth 20 over him, outside of KPJ, dre probably had the least amount of production of all the players that got rookie scale extensions this offseason, it is definitely a huge gamble. With that said i do think he has a solid chance of making the contract a worthwhile investment
  23. 55-27, i think last year was a maturing year for trae, they won't come stumbling out of the gate again.
  24. Dre does not look smooth compared to melo, you can tell melo is so much more comfortable/confident in his moves. Granted he's probably done 20 thousand more reps than Dre.
