  1. I think I would do it. Vince seems to doing better this year with his injuries, and i think bosh can turn into a better overall player than reef, mainly because reef lacks athleticism to be a top flight player.

    Man oh man

Excuse me? Artest does not smoke dope. He may be head case, but that is just because he hates to lose so much. He also has toned his act down a lot this year.
  3. in the final minutes of the niners/seahawks game? That was one of the best catches I have seen in the past couple of years. I don't know if anyone remembers this, but i think a year or two ago Oronde Gadsen had an amazing snag of a bullet pass over the middle. It was amazing. That is the only catch I can think of recently that compares to this one.
  4. I agree that the players are to blame for what happened last night, however Stotts should be blamed also. I mean Wesley was drilling us all night, and Stotts made no adjustment to stop it that I could see, and even if he did it failed horribly.
  5. wow i disagree big time on that comment with price. we should not judge him by this year. IMO he showed good flashes of what he can do when vick came back. Did you see how he stretched tampa's defense for a 50 yarder? that is exactly what was missing last year when we played them. Next year, when Vick is heathly you shall see what price is capable of, and until then, I believe it is unjust to judge him off of this year and call him a bust. Also look at it the other way. Moulds put up about the same numbers as price but he had DREW BLEDSOE the whole year. Who would of thought that peerless being in ATL would so drastically effect buffalo's offense?
  6. Yeah the second trade is great. Howard would be great for us, but i doubt dallas would deal him. The first trade though I hate. Brent Barry has not done much at all this year and the whole point to get him would be to put him with JT. Jerome James is simply a waste of space. Plus we lose the reason why we traded Big Dog which would suck. That won't help us this year, but in 05 it could help us land some big time free agents
  7. Anyone watching the Duke/Texas game? I am cathcing a little before by own game. Anyway, everyone on this board would love to have a TRUE point guard. Duhon is just that. He will more than likely be up for us take at the top of the second round. He could be a REAL steal in the upcoming draft. He plays excellent defense and is an excellent ball handler and passer. He also has an excellent drive and can finish with either hand. Shoot he has 7 or 8 assists already and the first half is not even over. His shooting is what will bring him down though. I really think once he gets to the pros and he can improve his shot immensly. If anybody remembers when he was a freshman and playing mainly SG with Jay Willams still there, he was an excellent shooter. If we could get him and either Deng or Howard in the upcoming draft, we would certainly be heading in the right direction.
  8. Okay I will do my best to answer your question. He is 6'9 around 225 with the length of Boris Diaw. He causes havoc on defense because of this length getting in passing lanes and altering/blocking shots. He actually understands the concept of help side defense which would be a refreshing idea with our hawks. He is an excellent rebounder on both offense and defense. His best attribute is his how verstile he is. He can play any position expect for center. He is extremly athletic and strong as well. On offense he plays a very smart game. He has great court vision to find the open man. Has an excellent drive with a knack of getting to the line. He can create off the dribble, pretty much do everything. Great ballhandler as well. Really the only weakness I see in his game is his 3 pt shot if were going by NBA range, but most players shots improve once they get to the NBA. He played HS ball last year at Blair Academy in Jersey with Charlie Villenuva( UCOnn's stud frosh). I don't know his exact averages but I know he dominated and was considered a close 2nd in his class behind bron. The fact that he went to Blair Academy is important though. I believe they have class on the weekends there. What I am getting at is that is is extremely mature for his age and will be able to handle the transition from college to NBA with ease. This is evident in that the numerous McDonald's All Americans at Duke have already established this guy from day 1 as the BEST PLAYER ON THIER ENTIRE TEAM.
  9. Luol Deng would the perfect fit for this team. As a duke fan i do not want him to come out because I would love to see him and last years class run it up with shaun livingston(2nd coming of magic), but if he comes out I think we take him. It would be extremely hard for me to take him over Dwight because he will be special, Deng would fit perfectly. He is a more athletic version of grant hill and I think overall he is better. He would come in able to start and contribute right away. We need that becasue as this team is situated around 05 we can really start to think about winning big. I don't know if we could let dwight develop in that role. Their would be a lot of pressure on him and it may end up like kwame brown.
  10. Number 1 UConn could straight dominated last night by Ga Tech. Tech is vastly under rated as many people picked them to finish seventh in the ACC. Just imagine what they would be like if Bosh had not gone pro and Nelson did not transfer. I was reading the AJC this morning and it said that Okafor wanted to go to GA Tech, but signed with UConn because Tech stopped calling him because they had already given out all of their scholarships and were looking to appeal the rule. With a great incoming class and a young coach on the rise, Tech looks to become a mainstay in the top 15. I have not been very impressed with UConn this year. Outside Gordon and Okafor they are nothing. When Gordon is off they will lose which is could happen a lot considering he is extremely streaky. Their star freshman Boone or whatever his name is, is complete trash. He may have the ugliest shot I have even seen and is a soft [censored]. I have been in various camps with this guy over recent summers, but I had never really gotten a chance to watch him until last night.
  11. From what I am seeing, he looks great. While he needs to work on his shot, I think he fits in good with the starting good because he provides good rebounding and actually plays help side defense which only enchances Theo's shotblocking ablilties. He also has great length and is a threat to block shots and get steals himself.
  12. K-Mart should be feeling like a complete ass right about now.
  13. The thing I really like about Harrington is that he wants to be the go to guy. You cannot really say that about Reef or JT.
  14. Artest and Harrington are good, but I agree that Johnson and Jones had no buisness playing like they did aganist us
  15. This guy has so much talent and is really starting to blow up. I think Indy would be willing to give him up for a center even though he he gets starters minutes because they have artest and O'neal. I think he will be an all-star this year and a superstar by the end of the season. Why not give them Ratliff for harrington? We could line up.... Nazr Reef Harrington Glover JT While losing Ratliff's shot blocking would suck, I think Nazr gives us more size and his rebounding would complement this squad. I also think this adds another dimension to our bench with the Jackson being able to play the role of the sixth man. Now our second unit will have hustle and defense, but also be able maintain the offense while our starters are getting rest.
  16. Yeah the guy I would be concerned about is David Wesley. The guy has a killer shot and is quick as a cat. Tonight will be a good test to see if Dion has improved has man defense. That is a good point that the davis/ jt and reef/brown should cancel each other out due to brown and davis' stellar defense
  17. If we have a top 2 pick we need to get Dwight Howard. I have played with this guy. He is a simply a beast. He has the athleticism and permeiter game of KG combined with the low post skills and fundamentals of Tim Duncan. Now of course he is not on that level now, but that is the type of player he will grow into. He may not be a Ben Wallace type defender, but he is certaintly no slouch, in fact he has the potential to be an all defensive team type defender.
  18. In 5 years I will go on a little gut feeling and say that Bosh will turn out every bit as good as Lebron if not better. This guy won't be ready for about 2-3 years but when he hits his stride look for tim ducan's game with kg's athleticism
  19. I joined too. The first league is intended to be the main league though, right? On a side note I may not be able to make either of the drafts
  20. That is a good signing. We did not overpay for him either.
  21. Would it be okay if people who joined the first league joined this one as well?
  22. That would be George Layne. I believe he is a 3rd yr Fullback. He was drafted by the Chiefs in the fourth round so he obviously had talent, but I believe they cut him and we picked him up. He was really never used much because we had Bob Christian who was very underated, and the nest all around FB in the past 2-3 yrs IMO. He is battling rookie Justin Griffith for the starting spot, however Griffith was injured last night. They are similar players, however I believe Griffith has more talent, but Layne has more expierence which is always an edge when your coach is named Dan Reeves! On to the game last night.... the first string utterly dominanted the packers. The backups didn't do too well as a whole, but some individuals stood out to me. The main problem was the 2nd string O Line. They were just plain horrible. All we could were 2-3 step drop passing routes because we couldn't run and our oline could not hold a block for more than 2 seconds. I think Fred Talley lost his job last night. He had 2 fumbles and couldn't even get a TD from the 1 yd line in two attempts, and on the 2nd attempt he fumbled.
  23. hahahah no freak way portland does that!! first of all I think they like Mcginnis better than stoudamire, but the really crazy part is randolph is pretty much untouchable. he may be the only person on that team that won't trade, which says a lot considering the bulk of talent that they have.
  24. Umm the AFC east is a great divsion, but I think the NFC south is a better divison. You got the Super Bowl Champs, the falcons who should be a top 5 team this year at least, the Saints who should be around 9-7 or so, and the panthers who had the leagues 2nd best defense and were literally a couple of plays or calls away from 8-8. They also sport an improved offense this season. The AFC east is VERY competitive, however that is because most of the teams are on the same skill level. This year the fins may finally go to the next level, but they were suppossed to last year too, and look what happened. Also the Jets will be a shell of what they were last year. The Pats improved a little I think, but should be a mediorce team. The Bills got Spikes, but lost Price who will be a huge loss because now teams can double team moulds and wont have to worry too much about Reed. Reed also created mismatches aganist dime or nickle cornerbacks which opened up the running game. I think Spikes helps their defense, although not by much. I believe the loss of Price will have a much bigger affect on their offense.
  25. NO Way I would do that NJ trade. We can get a hellll of a lot better for big dog/Jt then jefferson and mutumbo
