I am guessing there is no way of getting him now that he opted out...The only way it was going to happen was some form of Bibby + whatever for him, given their salaries...Oh well.

Baron is a top 4 PG in the league, and ever since he lost weight, he has been healthy. Biedrins is a VERY good defender at the 5. Josh Smith is my favorite player, but Al Horford is going to end up being consistently better at the 4. Baron/Law JJ/ Richardson Marvin/Chillz Horford/FA big?? Biedrins/Zaza That is not only one of the best teams in the EC, but one of the better teams in the league. If Marvin learned to shoot 3's we'd be golden.

Not as OUR SF...We need our SF to consistently be able to hit 3 pointers. 3 Pointers are this teams one single biggest flaw.

If he could develop a consistent 3 point shot, I would be satisfied with him as our starting SF.

Josh Smith for Al Jefferson would be my choice...But them trading for Kevin Love probably nixes that idea. I'd also be down for Chris Kaman or Lamarcus Aldridge. Josh Smith is my favorite Hawk, but I understand we have needs...And I probably would take Horford over him...

3 point shooting... It was really our Achilles heel this past year, and that team looks even worse. Josh Smith at the 3 really allows defenses to pack it in on the inside since our only two outside shooters are JJ and Bibby (in the starting line-up).

I would then see if we could trade Bibby straight up for any of these players (his expiring contract has to be real attractive). - Kirk Hinrich - Chauncey Billups - Jose Calderon - Raymond Felton - Baron Davis Dang we would be nasty with that team.

It gives us a bit of a logjam at PF with Horford and Smoove, but I think Horford could play a little back-up Center also. Getting Artest would give us a SF that can score with the best of them, is a great defender, and can shoot the 3...Exactly what we need from that position.

Realistically... 19.5 ppg, 8.5 rpg, 3.3 apg, 2.7 bpg, 47% FG, 28% 3 pointers I'm expecting a little bump in ppg...Not much else different. Hopefully we can get a SF that will stretch the court a bit more so he doesn't have to try (Jamison or Artest, PLEASE).

That would make us so stout. Great defender, very good scorer, great 3 point shooter. I'd love to have him....I thought him and Bibby didn't get along very well, though?

Not sure how we'd get back into the top 15-20 to get him...I don't think I'd trade Chillz for him...But there aren't many other ways to get it done.
