  1. I think you're wrong on pretty much every point except that next season will be telling. We'll see.
  2. Exactly. That’s why we should strive to get better shooters. The strategy is sound. We have uniquely talented players in Trae and John to maximize that strategy. Once teams are forced to respect our shooters more we’ll be able clean up in the paint. Trying to play any other way is honestly foolish.
  3. Just because they aren’t above league average doesn’t mean they aren’t shooters. Those teams are still creating space with those guys behind the 3pt line. That’s the point.
  4. 4+ shooters on the floor is just the NBA today. We should absolutely strive for the best version of that that we can.
  5. I think Ryan can still get it done if the OL gives him a chance.
  6. The Falcons arguably have the talent to win now, but I don't have a lot of faith in the coaching staff.
  7. I don't think anyone will have a problem moving on from LP if the team isn't significantly better next season. It's just silly to be so critical of a 2nd year HC with a roster that wasn't constructed to win games.
  8. You mean some people choose to view things with stats and logic instead of blind hate.
  9. If having a big center in the game isn't helping with the rebounding or paint defense then it's a logical step to take the big man out and attack the problem in a different way. I guess LP could have taken everyone out and forfeited the game.
  10. We were outrebounded 8-2 in those 4 minutes with Len. 5 of their 6 buckets were in the paint. Len fouled Dinwiddie for 2 more points during that stretch. So, again, Len was not helping matters at all.
  11. I know. Jordan was 0-1 with 1 rebound after Len left so it's hard to act like that was some atrocity.
  12. He wasn't the reason, but he wasn't helping either. There's a reason he's only averages 19.7 mpg for his career. His usefulness had faded away in the 4th.
  13. Len entered the game at 7:45 with a 3 point lead. Len left the game at 3:45 with a 6 point deficit. Something needed to change. That game was lost 2 minutes later at 110-113 when Cam ran into Huerter causing a turnover and then Huerter committed one of his patented touch fouls to make the resulting layup an and-1. If that flukey turnover doesn't happen then maybe we go on to win that game. That's the problem with the extreme criticism y'all wanna throw on him at every opportunity. You act like that players are chess pieces that LP just has to maneuver correctly to win, but that's not how it works. He can make the right decisions and still lose because of how obviously flawed the roster is. Also, don't let Mark Jackson within 100ft of our team. Maybe 106ft to be safe.
  14. The Braves have no trouble making the playoffs and that's all it takes in MLB. Just get hot at the right time. Too many question marks with the Falcons to put them first and the Hawks are just trying to become a playoff team right now.
  15. Even in your own links you have Clippers fans saying he's way behind Siakam in terms of impact, his defense is overrated, his defense can't be overrated because no one thinks that highly of it, he can't guard the long centers, he gives up a lot of easy buckets, he doesn't have the physical tools to ever be a stopper, his rim protection is weak, he's a bad rebounder, and he's not good enough to be a starter.
  16. I'm pretty sure you rate his defense higher than anyone else on the planet does. A lot of Clippers fans will tell you he's not even a good defender.
  17. I don't think it's necessarily a matter of loving the 3. It's just the most efficient way to play the game.
  18. I really wish we got the chance to see him play this season. Since Schlenk has apparently been after him for a while I suspect there's a decent chance he'll be back even without the game time.
  19. That was the big appeal of our potential OKC first. Bummer.
  20. John has become the most efficient 20+ PPG scorer in the league under LP. Doesn't mean he can't do more, but I think they're close to the sweet spot with his game. At some point you will get diminishing returns trying to expand his game.
  21. It’s hard to credit anyone who thinks it’s fine to go back to normal (or close to it) because the death rate isn’t that high. 1) It’s messed up to think that way and 2) It shows they clearly don’t understand why flattening the curve is important. “Healthcare is managing to keep up in most areas during lockdown so obviously they’ll be fine after the flood gates open.” How does anyone think that makes sense?
  22. Look at that Collins thread and you'll see many disagreements. People disagree about Hunter all of the time. But there's a difference in being tough or pessimistic and being unreasonable or dishonest. You make the most insane comparisons and never consider what LP has working against him. It's just always his fault, plain and simple. Also, as others have said, LP can be fired at any time at basically no loss (relatively speaking). It's a much larger commitment to give a player a max contract or trade a bunch of picks for them.
  23. It’s because you’re rarely fair or honest. If someone was talking crazy in an attempt to prove LP was the best coach in the league then the same people who disagree with you would disagree with them.

    Coaching!

One of his staunchest critics has already crunched all of the numbers and concluded that he's slightly above average. It seems your thread has already achieved an honest evaluation. Nothing more to do. Great job.
