  1. He's uninspiring as a HC, but I would be happy to see him added to the staff.

I was fine with the hypothetical of us giving up #6 and a future pick for PG. But once you start including Huerter and other things it becomes too much for a likely one-year rental when we aren't contenders. I still don't think Schlenk is seriously contemplating moving up or trading for PG.
  3. DeRozan has been through it after being "betrayed" by Masai, watching the Raptors win a championship, and being on the first Spurs team to miss the playoffs in 87 years (give or take). I think this would be a refreshing situation for him. Bring back Skal + #11 and spend whatever's left ($8 mil or so?) on a PG. Definitely not my ideal scenario given DeRozan's limitations as a defender and shooter, but I think it is a viable route to becoming a competitive team.
  4. I've never cared for DeRozan, but if we could add his talent to the lineup with just a pick swap then I would be OK with that.
  5. He comes across as shy and doesn’t really project his voice, but I have never had any trouble understanding him.
  6. Thanks! I added them to the list. For anyone curious, I recently started compiling a list of every player hated by @Peoriabird. HERE are the names I have so far.
  7. Stooooooop. Just because someone doesn't create a lot of offense on their own doesn't mean they're anything like Tyson Chandler. Beside's Chandler's offense being basically nonexistent outside of the paint, Collins is a much more gifted scorer around the basket. That's such a lazy, "low IQ" (to use your words) comparison.
  8. You're crying too hard. Boom. Roasted. I've said since last season that I see Cam as the starter, but I think both choices have merit. And with this mess of an offseason LP may feel more comfortable with Huerter starting out of the gates. More than bringing Cam's defense to the starting lineup I would like to see Huerter get more opportunities to lead the offense as the 6th man. The more interesting part will be how LP closes out games. It was easy to default to the "Core 5" lineup last season because we rarely had a better option, but that shouldn't be the case this season.
  9. Imagine being so obsessed with hating LP that you suddenly get upset about decisions that haven't been made for a season that doesn't even have a start date.

Trading #6 and a future non-lottery pick isn't "all in" and I don't think it could ever get Schlenk fired. The Hawks would be a shoo-in for the playoffs barring injury and Ressler would be thrilled. If PG leaves after one year we will have at least experienced some winning and be in a better position for free agency. The thing about #6 is, besides being a weak draft, we're already trying to avoid diminishing returns from developing Trae, John, Cam, Hunter, Huerter, and Bruno at the same time. Adding another rookie to the mix would make that harder. So there's even less downside in my mind to trading it. But, again, I do not think this is a realistic trade scenario. I would probably prefer to keep #6 than trade it for what it can actually fetch on the trade market.

If you can get an All-NBA talent with the #6 pick in a weak draft and a future first then obviously you do it. But that's why it will never be offered. It's too unrealistic.

Not to rain on the parade, but there's no chance we get PG with a couple of picks.

Yes, I understand. I just think it's wrong. I think either could be had for a simply "good" deal. Nothing crazy.

Come on. In no world are Warren and Brogdon "untouchable."

It's funny how offended you get whenever someone suggests trading one our players while also acting like the GM who drafted them doesn't know how to evaluate talent.

Porzingis is a much better defender than JC. I'd take him in a heartbeat if he wasn't so injury prone.

No it's not Trae, JC, or Capela. I'm sure it's not Cam. So Huerter for Beal it is.

I don't think Philly is trying to trade Simmons for a PF and Embiid is way too good for a straight up trade. Porzingis doesn't make sense either as he's a much better fit for Dallas and we don't want his knee problems. Siakam makes some sense. But I don't really believe there's a straight up blockbuster trade out there for us.

But despite that "massive gap" you think a team is going to trade a high impact All Star for him?

    Ask Supes

You say JC is a low impact bum that no GM values, but now we can trade him straight up for a "bonafide All Star" that will make us a top 10 team on both ends of the floor?
  22. Get a grip, man. You don't always have to quadruple down when you're wrong.

JC doesn’t strike me as someone who would give a “hometown” discount, but hopefully we’ll get a “Trae Young” discount. It’s unlikely any team trying to sign him will have anyone who can help his game more than Trae does.
  24. That's one thing (of many) I have never understood. People will say that person had cancer, that person had diabetes, that person had asthma, that person had migraines, that person was overweight, that person had a broken arm...so what? Most or all of those people would still be alive today if not for the virus. The hoops people are willing to jump through to minimize the virus and avoid doing anything to help are insane. All any reasonable person is asking is to wash your hands, wear a mask, social distance, and avoid large gatherings. But we have people who would rather get arrested, lose their job, miss a flight, become a viral video, etc. The White House has more cases than some countries because they can't be bothered to follow any of the guidelines a month out from one of the most important elections in US history.
