1) JC is the first guy due a huge payday. 2) JC is not a superstar level player so there will always be some question about giving him that huge payday. The Hawks have nothing to do with people speculating on the internet.

I'll always appreciate Dedmon's first stint with us, but his value was at an all-time low and we needed to move him to make room for Okongwu. Snell is honestly a better return than I was expecting. -

I think Toronto is too good of an organization to go from super competitive to out of the playoffs just yet. People are way down on Siakam right now but he should come back stronger. I agree with the rest of your post, though.

Dennis really ended up on a nice path. I feel like he improved a lot playing with CP3 and now he's teaming up with LeBron. Could win a ring and then get a much larger contract than anyone thought possible a year ago. It'll be interesting to see how he handles the spotlight.

We were in the middle of a tank. Obviously we weren't on Leonard's radar. And the Raptors were regularly winning 50+ games and playoff series when they made that trade. We haven't even won 30 games yet.

Toronto is a first class organization and won a championship and Leonard still didn’t give them the time of day once he became a FA. And before you say it, PG isn’t going to lead us to a championship this season lol

Luka and Dallas are honestly irrelevant to why we need to put a playoff team together. It's just time. That doesn't mean we have to do something crazy.

I agree with that. I doubt he’d agree to an assistant position on a team like ours without some kind of assurance that there was reasonable path to becoming HC.

I never said they should win any of those series. But being swept over and over again is pretty “uninspiring.”

I feel like if he maximized his talent he wouldn't have been swept out of the first round 3 times in 4 years. Pacers fans were legitimately heartbroken when he got that extension and equally elated when he got fired. I think he has a lot of value to bring to a coaching staff, but some of his ideas are probably outdated.
