  1. I had a feeling going 0-2 against the Pistons late in the season would lead to this.
  2. Not to derail the who should be starting thing, but you can look at what any player is doing well and find other things like you just did to "yeah-but" about. People have done that with Trae his entire career, "yeah but he gives it right back up on the other end." The Hawks as a team are poor defensively right now, so it isn't fair to just look at what Bogi isn't good at on that end. Bogi has been getting 2 steals a game, rebounding well, getting multiple assists, and scoring at an efficient level. He's doing plenty of good right now to help the team. So regardless of him starting or coming off the bench, Bogi appears to be finally getting healthy and he is our second best offensive player when he is right. For our sake, we all need to hope he can stay healthy down the stretch.
  3. I hear you for sure. I think Bogi is a better player, but I wish we could find a way to make everyone happy with their roles (hence me wanting Lou to get in their ears above). Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be happening now.
  4. Regardless of everyone's opinion of him starting, here are his February numbers. He had the stinker in Dallas which is hurting his overall offensive numbers a bit, but he has been filling up the stat sheet across the board nicely. One thing of note is he is also averaging about 2 steals per game during February too.
  5. I was actually going to post his February stats but decided not to, but he has definitely been on a tear in February. Hopefully he is fully healthy, because we are going to need this version of him if we have any hope to get out of the play-in "tournament".
  6. I prefer Bogi over Hueter, but it's hard to ignore the numbers regarding who should start (at least at this point). I was reading the ESPN article on Trae earlier and when they quoted Lou, they introduced him as "Hawks guard and three-time Sixth Man of the Year Lou Williams." It had me thinking that we need Lou to get into both of these guys ears about embracing that role and striving to do what he did at a high level for many years. You'll never hear "Hawks guard and productive starter Kevin Hurter" in any type of article. There is nothing wrong with coming off the bench, and you will actually get more recognition as being Sixth Man of the Year as opposed to being a non All-Star starting player. Plus, if you are playing well you better believe you will be in the game in the 4th quarter when it matters.
  7. This is a good way to derail this game thread lol. It wasn’t Teague time I guess. I remember during the All-Star pregame when they announced coach Bud during the music intros. He looked like he had never seen light or heard music in his life as he tried to wave at the crowd.
  8. It’s almost like he is trying to relive his first birthday party. At least he’s had some better moments since lol.
  9. Thank you for the reminder. Man, that was so bad! I remember trying to explain to some non-Hawks friends of mine why they shouldn’t make fun of it while it was happening and I had nothing.
  10. They even were hyping him up to win before it started lol. At least keep us watching most of the event this time, Trae.
  11. What would it take us to get that Lance Stephenson guy? He’s on pace for a triple double!
  12. Second quarter was great, but the crowd definitely got to us in the first quarter.
  13. Can Philly even help with the cost of Harris if we accepted an offer including him?
  14. Im only letting you know because I went so many years thinking he was Van Fleet. It even made sense when you put the two words together. I eventually saw he was actually VanVleet and I couldn’t accept it. Still can’t…
  15. I’m not going to say you are wrong, but you also don’t want to take his game away from him. It’s a thing you hope he learns as he deals with success.
  16. I think we all support this, but we still need Trae for what he does late in games.
  17. I love when teams try to play like their mascot.
  18. I haven’t really been on board with the trade at the asking price, and the winning streak has made me lean towards definitely not. It’s not just the winning streak, but that and how we finished out last season with these players. Acquiring a guy like Simmons seems more like an off-season move if you get swept in the first round (or miss the playoffs completely) and feel like a change is necessary. It just doesn’t make sense to do it now.

    Knox......

We don’t really need that. I just hope he plays well when his number is called. We don’t see practice, but his playing time will come from whatever he does there.
  20. This game was annoying at times. Between the refs, us taking quick threes, and Monk hitting everything it just seemed like it wasn’t our night. It wound up being a great ending though. We blew so many games in the 4th earlier this year, especially at home. It’s good to see us get some of that swagger and toughness back. This reminds me of our second half team from last year.
  21. Scoring wise, he got some easy looks early to build his confidence. That eventually led to him hitting a lot tough shots late in the game. He was definitely frustrating us.
  22. I’m guessing it has to do with them stopping daily testing. You aren’t getting all of the asymptomatic cases we saw earlier in the season.
  23. She’s awesome, @HawksNWaffles. @kg01said it first, nothing beats being a girl dad (or maybe just a welcome lol).
  24. Agreed! But we don’t talk about Bazemore . I still can’t fathom we gave him so much money to gaze.
