  1. Where can we read people's reply to the article?
  2. I'm high on Huston. I get the feeling that This is the year they stay healthy (Yao and Mcgrady). McGrady is playing so determined so far this year, that if they can in fact remain healthy they will make a championship run.
  3. Yeah, getting nothing from Chillz and Zaza and a sub-par game from Smoove and we still beat a team that finished with the best record in the NBA last year. That is, to say the least, encouraging.
  4. I don't mind Lue jacking up shots at the end of the game when he is hitting them. If he has an off night, then we can always go to Law or Speedy (if and when he's healthy)... but if he is on, he is the clutchest player on the team along with JJ and the only other perimeter player that can create his own shot.
  5. The "Horrible" in your thread title is quite redundant. Terrance Moore is a total joke, or rather, the joke is that a newspaper would hire someone like him to be the local sports writer. He is obviously a fan of some other sports teams, and he obviously has an Agenda of pure hate and resentment to EVERY sports team in this city... Why this guy continues to work for the AJC is beyond me.
  6. The call on the Barrea flop on Law almost made me puke. I hate how "rookies" get called a different game than the rest of the players and everyone is "ok" with it.
  7. It's a little tough to know who exactly is to blame for those shots without really analyzing each of the possessions that lead to the them... however, I think it's safe to say that J-smoove was to blame for a few of them... he played a "good" game, but he needs to play smarter day in day out for us to be a real threat. I think he would agree.
  8. Does anyone think that Phoenix will take a step back this year? Nash is getting older, and Shawn Marrion is really unhappy, and I think Amare's health is still a little bit of a concern. I think they finish in the middle of the conference this year.
  9. Yeah I agree, the logo is fine. And here is the link to the Uni-watch article. It's an interesting read. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story...30&sportCat=nba
  10. I doubt it. He would be around 15-16 and would shoot in the low 40's... he is too slow to create his own shot, that's why despite his shooting touch, he has always been a low percentage shooter. Gilbert is on another stratosphere of speed in comparison to Salim, it's not even comparable. Did anyone noticed that Lue is on the injury report on ESPN.COM? has anyone heard anything?
  11. Foul trouble did Law in yesterday. He could have come in on the fourth, but the game was real tight and it was a good call by Woody to stick with the more experienced Lue.
  12. The shooting is the problem though... he needs to continue on working to get better shots. I love when he's driving, and I don't mind the turnovers that occasionally come up from him trying to do something going to the hole... but the long jumpers out of rhythm and the errant passes have to stop.
  13. The nuggets don't have it - From the Uni Watch article on ESPN.com: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2030/176912...f786e3660_o.jpg
  14. I think Chillz is one of the best 6th men in the league. like most good 6th men in their contract years though, there's gonna be plenty of attention from clubs that will be looking for him to start, and that will mean bye-bye Chillz... unless he's loyal/crazy enough to want to continue to be our 6th man, which is most unlikely. If the right trade is available before the deadline, I'm jumping all over it.
  15. How about his improved defense? he showed flashes of being a great defender out there last night.
  16. I think Marvin is close to being the second scorer... there's no reason to think he couldn't develop into a 20 point scorer by next year. (heck, even maybe this year). If Marvin perfects his mid-range jumper to go along with his ability to drive quick to the hole, he's a perfect #2.
  17. Shelden was alright man... he missed easy shots inside and outside, and put the game in peril by missing free-throws. He did pick up important boards, which redeemed his performance from being a bad one. He was not "great" though. JJ was great, Horford was great (when he was in there), Shelden was alright, maybe even good (because of the importance of some of those boards) but not even sniffing great.
  18. Teams can do pretty much what they want for the center court. The Nuggets have these two chisels that, as far as I know, is not their primary or secondary logo. The Celtics, I think, have this commemorative "50 years" logo. If the Hawks had wanted, they could have kept the Hawks primary logo but used the secondary for the center court... I don't mind either way, I think both logos are fine. I agree that the out of bounds area is pretty ugly though.
  19. Goddamn! why didn't I check the boards before the game? Had to listen to it on the Radio. Still, it was exciting to hear Steve Holman call the game. He's probably the happiest guy in the planet right now... this guy is a more hardcore fan than all of us put together.
  20. Josh Smith is an emotional guy, and playing in front of this crowd tonight with the expectations spurring from the preseason, I think he put a lot of pressure on himself to do everything he could to win. I don't think the mindset is wrong, but he needs to learn to control his emotion and channel it into smart play. I think/hope that as we continue to win games and he becomes accustomed to atmospheres like tonight he will settle down a little more.
  21. I'm rooting for them all the way.
  22. Mookie is #1... better than Doc IMO. Pete was more of a scorer, and probably the better player out of all our PG's, but I think Mookie was better at running the point than him.
  23. Bimbo Coles needs to be mentioned
  24. Quote: Law may very well develop into a JT type, but he's got a killer instinct and competitive drive that I still don't see out of JT. hmm.. I seem to remember JT absolutely dominating in the playoffs two years ago. Perhaps I'm mistaken. He isn't a perfect PG, but JT always was a competitor in my mind.
  25. Quote: EC teams we might be better than this year: Washington - HAHA no Milwaukee - Maybe Philadelphia - NO Indiana - NO WAY Boston - NO New York - Maybe Charlotte - probably not.
