I know this is kind of a useless thing to bring up, since it's all in the past now and not much that we can do to fix it, but I think it was a huge mistake to not go after Brevin, not only is he one if the most efficient point guards in the league at running a team, but he also showed that he can be a great mentor. I don't know how much of Raymond Felton's development you can attribute to Brevin, but I would say it's safe to say the he learned at least a thing or two from Brevin.
As it stands we have Lue mentoring Law. I don't think I need to reiterate why this is a bad thing. Now, this is not to say that Law won't become a good PG because he doesn't have an adequate on the court mentor... that would be ridiculous; but it's a shame that we didn't bring in anyone who could teach him a trick or two about how to be a good pass first PG. Maybe if the Clips are out of contention by the trade-deadline and Livingston comes back we could be able to package a deal to bring Brevin home. I really do think he is the best Mentor/player available right now.
