  1. Eh... that doesn't bother me. The winner is going to be decided on the court in the games not by some random fan.
  2. Yea, or he can sit on a beach and enjoy life. Tough call.
  3. For once I'd like to see Josh go at the rim when he catches a pass at the 3pt line. Heck, if he takes two steps in and realizes that he's not going to make it, then pull up for a short jump shot or pass the ball back out. On the other end of the scale is Flip who thinks he can dunk on O'neal and the entire Heat front court. Pass it out dude or HOLD UP and pass to the open man! There has to be an open Hawk arround when there are 3 Heat players in the lane defending your shot!
  4. Okay, not many people can guard Wade 1-on-1... but Mo is terrible at it. If he's giong to guard Wade then he needs some serious help out there. Flip does an okay job and Joe is probably the best at it but Wade is crafty and tries to get under Joes skin.
  5. Sweet fanciful Moses... what was that?! It could be that they spent all their money on attorneys fees.
  6. Sooo... Do you guys think that the Hawks might have a big trade lined up this summer involving Marvin? They could be protecting him from further injury to protect the trade. Pure speculation I know...
  7. Yea, and having a 10 time pro-bowler in the locker room can't be bad either.
  8. Cool, thanks for that. I think I'll watch the draft this year for a change. Curious to see what Dimitroff does. Do you guys think he knows anything about basketball? Or, does Blank want to buy the Hawks? ;)
  9. So, how many picks do the Falcons have again this year and in what rounds?
  10. Just for fun.... and yes, I know this isn't the whole story. The Hawks Field Goals: 44.2% with 34 of 77 Free Throw: 63.3% with 19 of 30 The Heat Field Goals: 55.6% with 40 of 72 Free Throws: 72.2% with 13 of 18 Ignoring 3 pointers... 1) If the Hawks had matched the Heat field goal % they would have made about 43 FG's which would have given them 19 additional points. 2) If the Hawks had matched the Heat free throw % they would have made about 22 FT's which would have given them 3 additional points. IF the Hawks had matched the Heat's scoring in these to catagories the final score would be 115 to 108. Hawks win.
  11. Rebounding. Defense that didn't quit even when the Hawks were up by 20. Forcing Wade to turn the ball over EIGHT times! Marvin Williams with 10 points in 17 minutes of play. Joe Johnson bobbing and weaving on his way to the basket, making his defenders look like they had 2 left feet. The Mike Bibby half-court pass to Smith for the reverse dunk was one of the most amazing thing's I've ever seen. Even Bibby couldn’t believe it.
  12. Didn't see a game thread so thought I'd post one. If the starters get a good amount of play time I'll be looking for Horford to have a big night. He didn't play in our only loss to Miami and he destroyed them in 3rd game. Not sure how much of an impact Mario will have. He's only played 2 minutes vs the Heat.
  13. Even worse than the aliens in Spacejam? Are you sure about that?
  14. Well, I'm sure he's been working on the 3's and if he continues to improve it can't hurt. It will only benefit the Hawks if he moves over to SF next year and can shoot from the perimeter. I think the problem he's having right now is that he hesitates before taking the shot. He surveys the court to find himself wide open, then it takes him a while to decide if he should or drive the basket. By the time he's made up his mind everyone is looking at him anticipating the drive so he doesn't go that route. At the same time he's taken so long to shoot that he's out of rhythm and misses. Most of the 3's he made last night were in rhythm where he caught the ball and shot it right away.
  15. I would imagine that they know exactly who they want with those picks too.

    Jabberjaw?

Dude. Shut up already. Just kidding.
  17. Nice. So we might have Marvin for the post season. Looks like Acie will be back soon. It is a little concerning that Acie's back is still hurting. I like that Marvin is shooting around without discomfort
  18. Sund has said himself that he wanted a year to evaluate the team. I would imagine that he's going to be very busy this off season. Depending on what position we draft will determine on what position we trade for. I can see us drafting either a PG or a C... possibly a SG although Flip seems to be filling that role nicely. I'm sure he's using all the information at his disposal to make the right choice.
  19. What about David Anderson, currently playing in Spain. I know this was brought up last year but we still have his rights. He's a little undersized at 6 ft 11.5 inches, and I'm not sure about his defence. Just throwing it out there. We could possibly sign and trade him with a few other guys for the center we do need.
  20. If we do take a PG in the draft I can see a combination of Acie, Solo, and possibly Marvin being traded for a center. I would love to see Tyreke Evans play here. Can you imagine him playing along side JJ?
  21. Sameless bump for more votes and thoughts.
  22. You're talking to the wind Buckeye. The glass is always half empty for Hotlanta. Pity he can't enjoy watching the team he supposedly supports.
  23. Yea Dude, Smoove had a great game. I think Joe and Bibby were so shocked that they couldn't do anything. Ha. I think we could have had this win if we didn't turn the ball over so many times. It was painful to watch... and were was the D in the first half?
  24. Bob's comments about the other team don't bother me. Sometimes he makes backhanded comments when the Hawks aren't playing smart basketball. For example, if Josh is on a jump shooting spree, he may say something like, "Even though he can shoot the ball, Lebron realizes that driving to the basket makes the best use of his athleticism."
