  1. I know what you mean. Horford was getting raped out there; He should've been guarding Perkins after getting handled by Garnet. Smoove would've done a better job with his long arms.
  2. Looking at the Hawks schedule, the only game that doesn't get League pass is against Minnesota.
  3. Or have him come off the bench... about 10-15 minutes per game . That wouldn't hurt the chemistry at all and helps prolong his usefulness.

  5. I'm fine with Salim playing 10-15min/game. Hell, give him all of Lue's minutes, but I'm not a fan of him and Lue on the court together. I'm really discourage if him, Lue and Zaza are on the court together.
  6. The ASG didn't fire Woody because they thought injuries play a big part last season and that the team is still not complete. I have no doubt that if we don't make the playoffs this season, Woody will be gone. But like I said, if we really struggle, we might see him gone sooner rather than later.
  7. Well, If we're still struggling at the end of this month, Woody will inevitably get fired. He will not have a chance to blow this team up this season.
  8. Post this around 20-25 games and we'll have a better idea. Posting this after 3 games is premature.
  9. Most coaches sub in their bench when it's 1 or 2 mins left in the first quarter. Woody sub out Marvin with 6 mins in when he's been our 2nd best scorer. He didn't know what he's doing out there. No coach will yank their 2nd leading scorer who has a hot hand 6 mins in the first.
  10. He should be playing in the fourth quarter also. Starting doesn't mean anything with Woodson rotations.
  11. Marvin is the guy. Woody needs to play him more than 25 mins... he needs at least 35 mins.
  12. Quote: Quote: This guy is a joke. Marvin comes out smokin while Joe is starting slow and who is the first man to hit the pine? Marvin! I have been saying this for the past 4 years. Woodson has TIMED SUBSTITUTIONS, he subs the same people in and out at the exact same time of every game. That's called not knowing how to make adjustments. Woody will sub out someone when his stopwatch goes off, REGARDLESS of how well the player is playing. It's probably the worst thing I hate about Woody. It looks like his subs pattern are for Lue to play most of the 4th and then at the last 1 min mark, sub in Law. This has happened the last two games and I wouldn't be surprise if he did this again tomorrow. Watch for it.
  13. Salim is not even the 4th best shooter on the team. Would I rather play him than Lue? Yeah. But if Woodson rather play Lue over Law; there isn't a chance he will play Salim over Lue.
  14. Lue can make big shots because when he's in the game in the fourth, he usually dribble until the shot clock runs down and tries to shoot it himself most of the time. He's streaky, so its a hit and miss with him; I'd rather let Marvin and JJ shoot it and Law passing the ball to them.
  15. Wow. How the hell can you do that? It looks damn real.
  16. Nba.com rank the Hawks 12. Ladies and Gentlemen, the Hawks are finally getting notice.
  17. Quote: Let me get this straight! I LOVE SMOOVE, but boy can he piss me off. Also Woody is to blame a lot in Smoove's case. A guy that plays aot ouf control is not supposed to shoot or have the ball in his hands as much as Smoove has so far. Smoove needs to be more active on offense without the ball. A lot of time he stands away from basket when other players have the ball. He needs to to what Chill does, get easy layups and dunks. Chill is not strong enough though, but Smoove should finish or get fouled every time he is close to the basket. Chill needs to be more on perimeter since he can hit the open shot. Yeah. I wouldn't mind if they trade places with each other on offense.
  18. Quote: Quote: Quote: Woody isn't the reason that Smith and Horford shot a combined 5-23 and had 10 turnovers. Yeah, but he's the reason Lue was on the floor for a 6 minute basket drought in the 4th. Please don't tell me you excuse that. His only other choice was a rookie playing in his second game who already had 5 turnovers. But the team is +11 with him when he's on the court (compare to Lue -12 when he's on the court). Woody may not have that info with him, but he should know that the team played better when Law is playing.
  19. Quote: Quote: We gave up 13 offensive rebounds tonight, not exactly very good. I agree though that we will be a much better rebounding team, largely due to Horford. Rebounding is SO underrated. Giving up an offensive rebound is a turnover. But how many of those came in that Pistons run with Horford and Smith out? Horford and Smith really didn't have a positive impact on the game today; it was Law that made impact plays and create postive plays. Law +/- is +11; Smith and Horford +/- is -10/-6. Having T-lue (+/- is -12) play most of the 4th quarter is what did the Hawks in.
  20. I thought that play where we turn the ball over when we have a 5pt lead, then Piston came back and score change the momentum of the game. And then the really bad call was when we still have a 3pt lead, Woodson sub in Lue... we went downhill from there until his brain cells are activated and decided to put Law in. Of course, it was too little too late.
  21. He also doesn't have enough feeds; I only count 2 off memory... he did hit one of two.
  22. Quote: Lue has had his chances to lead this team the past two years, and he just isn't good enough to take this team to another level. Acie is young, but if he makes a youthful mistake then so be it. I saw Hortford out there during crunch time, and I would like to see Acie be more involved in the fourth quarter. Lue makes a good play or two, but there are too many other negatives with him that nullifies his apparent positives. You have to force Woodson for him to make good moves. He put Horford in the 4th because he has to; If Zaza is healthy, I'd bet Zaza would be in the 4th instead of Horford.
  23. Quote: But you expect Billups to get those calls. I just want to see JJ get the same consideration since he's an allstar. We played tough. Definately maturing. Everyone new that the Pistons were going to come back and they did. Not with 7 seconds to play; game decided by a ref call is [censored] frustrating, especially when you rewatch the replay and the call is iffy.
