  1. I'd rather package marvin for something bigger...plus CV isnt attractive to me, then again we wouldnt ask him to do much other than spot up on kick outs. But i think they overvalue CV, hes so streaky. Now childress or shelden package..
  2. Oh btw, is it me or does our coaching staff seem to not be int'l player friendly? Think it will be tough to lure FA int'l guys here, unless we can get a starter like Gasol to lure them over...
  3. If we go for mobley, pickup brevin as well? I know people dont like him cause he cant shoot and other issues, but he gets alot of steals and affects game tempo, only 2yr deal. But yah, i would hit up the west coast for the PG and SG combo trade, blazers, clippers, or seattle come to mind. Its harder trade for help at C...the decent ones hit our cap at $9m plus...and we dont have much quality assets outside of expirings (if we do a pg/sg trade as well). Like Brad Miller has 3yrs at $10m left on his contract, but i doubt kings let him go...hawes isnt ready for big minutes, and impending loss of bibby or artest is clouding their decisions. But heres list of trades i can imagine: Kings: Brad Miller(3yr) + SG (garcia or backcourt help) ~$12-14m Clippers: Mobley(3yr) + Knight (2yr) ~ $10m Blazers: Rodriguez or Jack both 2yrs, ~$1.5 (probably get a pick back from them) Sonics: too many options to list, for bigs Sene, Collison or Wilcox, and sg/pg ridnour, west, wilkins Wolves: Green(1yr) and one of their SF/PF Smith, Gomes, guys for the bench for most part since ours is quite lacking Then theres the Memphis, Philly scenarios we always hear about...and if someone really wants to blow $$ on mo Williams in milwaukee.. We are really flexible with our expirings...it all comes down to ASG which will probably stay the course/do nothing. I think this year was/is our best window to make a move..as our youngins will eat up our cap space this offseason and after that. Also, If we dont make a move, i doubt Joe will resign as a FA in 3yrs, so i can see them moving him next year depending on how we are doing then. I see our assets for trades as expirings(not AJ tho), Shelden+Pachulia, and main components of Childress, or Marv, and 1st rnd picks in 09/10 (too much youth). Sorry for the rambling post, still new to the squawk after lurking for a good year or so, letting it all out :P
  4. Actually the links on the first post work, just follow the instructions.
  5. http://forum.myp2p.eu/viewtopic.php?id=25410 myp2p.eu forums...they will post mms links from nba leaguepass. You gotta wait for someone to post the link, then you gotta use the link probably within the first 3min before it expires. But works, and as long as you watch/catch the links in time, should last for whole game. Oh yah, make sure u goto the last page on the thread, or else your wasting your time with expired links. Also, use IE when viewing the page, firefox tends to cutoff the links.
  6. J'O is on such a decline...he puts up a few big number games or half's...but just a shell of his former self. Plus he has issues in his knee, probably needs couple surgeries to clean up the meniscus/cartilage, and that doesnt have a good outlook for his contract. I'd rather take on Curry than JO :x
  7. Kind of seems acie playing too fast, happens alot to young players. Thing is, it seems he doesnt make decisions on the fly...like when he decides to drive, drives full speed and has already decided whether its just to kick or take it all way. He needs to slow down sometimes, more hesitation, setup his guys inside with easy dump offs when he gets past his own guy. But man, his first step is like a rocket launch...i think he can easily get to the hole at will. I would like to see him penetrate but dribble out, just to confuse the defense more..like not pick up his dribble or leave his feet all the time. kinda rambling, but yah, i think the shot not falling isnt as big a deal as decision making skills.
  8. theres a couple other places for links, but that site is the easiest currently, loopholes in the league pass setup i guess.
  9. Well even if we overpay for Josh (or both), its not like they will be unmovable for the rest of their contracts, just makes us less flexible with FA signings in the short term. Free agency hasnt been our strongest suit as a franchise either :x
  10. His game is looking really good right now inside..it seems hes making an effort to lay it up and avoid charges as much as possible; not looking to posterize the defender all the time, shows maturity.
  11. The game was just ugly in person...pace was slow with all the fouls first half. Second half, more fouls and they put on a shooting exhibition. Our offense was quite depressing. Looks like back to the drawing board with the PG rotation...
  12. Dont think Gasol would fit great, but Memphis is definately a good trade scenario...add the fact they have a shooter in Navarro who has close relationship with Gasol, and their depth at PG. But yah, i think Smoove would be the odd man out in this scenario.
  13. Honestly, I didnt have a chance to watch the hawks last few years, been overseas. But gathering from the games i have seen this year, his stroke has become efficient (definately not a chucker). Theres still room for improvement offensively, which is why people are so optimistic. The question is, will he realistically develop these skills. A) Ball fakes; head & shoulder fakes, step back moves...stuff that will allow him to create more himself, either giving him more space for his jumper or better driving and forcing fouls (what you see from Joe all the time). His game looks to be very simple, coming off curls and screens. Is it coaching staff prescribed or his lack of being a ball handler?? I say prescribed because it seems he makes simple ball fakes, probably to limit travelling calls. (notice how horford now starts his dribble b4 making moves, his travelling calls are down a lot). B) Back to basket; Dont think I have seen this...maybe lacks touch outside his shooting form (squared up)..would make sense with his lack of ball handling skills. C) 3pt Range; which i think is somewhat overrated with his great midrange game. Marvin also tends to fade in quarters, you can see him standing around, stopping the curls and just spotting up 19ft away on the wings, usually in the third or beginning of 4th. Im not sure if this a product of other players running (or lack of) offense, or just him getting tired or what. Whats gonna be interesting is couple years down road, when Joe closes in on FA...will Marvin show improvements to consistently be a 22+ppg player and make ASG ponder resigning Joe...because really, I dont see where Marvin can grow statistically the way our roster is built. But trying to imagine Marvin finding his way through double teams makes me cringe as well
