  1. I believe whoever trades for Drummond is likely keeping him long term. That’s my personal beliefs anyways
  2. I don’t know.....based on the admitting of not thinking trae would grow up this quick (depending on if you believe Schlenk source or not and I do)....it wouldn’t shock me if the front office really did look into adding him while also keeping the assets they want to keep. just saying it may be mainly Schlenk but no a complete hell no from the staff
  3. I agree I don’t think so either...unfortunately but if they don’t get him that means THEY didn’t really want him and I’m fine with that Good guesss....actually great guess. I think he ends up there as well
  4. The part about hearing something about Resseler that you prefer not to share is kinda intriguing! I want to know what that is but out of respect I will not ask lol (not that you would have told me just sayin) moving on, the part in bold.....I KNEW IT!....I KNEW IT!....I KNEW IT!....I knew trae grew up way way faster than they thought he would and that is why Schlenk made the comment he made not too long ago saying he made some mistakes in the off season. While I don’t believe Schlenk would have tried to build a contender last off season he clearly would have made better signings of vets who can actually help on the court. and last I’m not surprised ressler gets mad about luka success in Dallas after all they are linked together and I understand the process got f*cked due to Traes incredible growth that no one saw happening but in my opinion Schlenk has to be able to adjust ! im not saying we have to go get Drummond but it’s not going to be a good thing for trae to go another whole season top 5 in pts and assist while we are sitting at the bottom waiting for the others in this young core to grow up. i get the process but you have to be able to be flexible within the process at the same time. Let’s say we do nothing and get our top 5 pick plus the Brooklyn pick....ok! Fine! But I expect a team good enough around trae to make a run at the 8th seed next season! That would be 4 recent lottery picks and two very good players at pick 19 in Collins and huerter. No more worrying about lottery picks after this season or there will be no doubt cancer from trae in the locker room next season .
  5. This topic will come up and probably soon especially if we don’t trade for Drummond so I want to ask you .... Do you like Simmons with this young core as it currently is ? .....of course trading for him we’d probably have to get rid of someone from the young core, do you do that?
  6. Lol but in all seriousness I thought Len got moved too easily on those post ups when Jokic 3 ball stopped. i definitely agree we NEED a better center but len should be able to do better then that. I understand jokic is extremely talented but he kinda was left open on 3s then muscled damn near everything in around the goal
  7. I actually thought trae efforts was pretty good defensively.
  8. On flip side of things I don’t recall any game when Trae and Huerter both go off from 3! this is the first game I recall that we can rightfully say “splash bros 2.0”....that was awesome to watch
  9. This isn’t even because I want Drummond...but Len pissed me off . I understand Jokic is a big boy but man don’t get backed down so easily!!! Drummond type center or not when you have Len size you shouldn’t be getting back down with such ease!
  10. As much as I want that to be true that is not necessarily the case. I am wondering how serious they really are about Drummond cause I feel like if they really do want him he’d be on the way! I will give it until Wednesday or early Thursday though. if we don’t see a legitimate report of “talks heating up” or “talks getting closer to be done”....I believe this was either unfortunately a smokescreen or very mild interest in Drummond. But luckily for me I won’t be that mad I’ve already made it up in my mind that, that indeed is likely the case. oh and just to throw it out there not that you or anyone else will care what I think but I don’t believe the Brooklyn pick is on the table. I wanted to believe it ...i really did but i just don’t even though Woj reported it was in a deal being discussed. Probably the first time ever I don’t believe something completely from a Woj rumor. They won’t get that so no need to even worry about it
  11. I think that part is a little over the top! But hey if you say so.....
  12. I don’t know...from what I’ve read they don’t want to tank necessarily so why would you move Drummond? if you move him you’re definitely going to lose more games with thin maker playing majority center minutes ....excuse me thon maker
  13. Welp! Just saw Blake is considering season ending injury. that may halt Detroit from trading Drummond if they aren’t getting Blake back for the season. to my understanding they don’t want to take the tanking approach. They will not likely get back a player or players on the caliber of Drummonds talents and maybe they’ll make Blake their number one player to move if they can. anyways I believe this has to impact any trade talks whatsoever with Drummond
  14. Thank you for posting the actual Full game highlights....Drummond looked good despite the low fg%. He Missed some bunnies around the goal that he normally makes but his presence was definitely felt vs the biggest front line in the nba. If he had Trae and Collins next to him they would have given the lakers even more trouble. games like this tell me he’s worth going after. He didn’t shoot his normal fg% but made some nice passes , really protected the rim vs such a big long front court and vs the whole lakers squad in general as the paint game is their best offense as a team, and as always Drummond rebounded extremely well. im also impressed with how he handled the ball bringing it up the court though I’d rather he allow the guards to do that but nonetheless he had very good control to be center. nothing in that game suggested in negativity. I also feel like he got fouled on many possessions around the goal but they are in staples which is like being in the garden so expect bullshit from the refs when those teams are good.
  15. Well hunter was never going to be that kind of scorer but watching Cam even when he messes up on a possession you see the high upside he has been labeled with! I can’t wait until he puts it all together! And hey its just rookie year for those two so they definitely deserve more time. You never know what is to come with any of these young players these days it’s hard to judge honestly unlike back then. For example.... I never thought kelly oubre would ever even get close to avg 15 pts per game and last season in his 5th year of his career he avg 15 or 16 pts per game and today he’s avg 18 pts per game in his sixth season so far. i remember when budcox drafted him and then traded him draft night, I was so relieved and I could have cared less he got traded which was ultimately for hardaway jr if I recall it correctly. Anyways oubre just wasn’t a type of player I really liked deep down inside or thought would amount to anything (I guess similar to how you see Cam)...to me oubre only showed to be a energetic guy who MAY give you 10pts per game on his best season ....but just like you I’ve been wrong before & I actually like oubre now and he’s grown into a pretty decent player overall. you just never know ....at least with cam I can see a lot of green once he gets it all down.
  16. Missed this before I made a comment on your first post lol...my bad
  17. Pretty much answered it in my opinion. Only thing I will say to clarify the “Cam or De’Andre need to be better then Trae for us to really win a title”... .I definitely say yes that’s true either will need to be better than Trae OVERALL not necessarily better than him offensively cause like you said Traes offense ability has a chance of being historic and quite honestly I believe Cam could be considered the better player than trae one day cause of defense ability but not one soul on this team has the high ceiling offensive potential of Trae...but I know you know that
  18. What’s interesting to me is that if the hawks really want Drummond long term they are going to trade for him and not wait until free agency....someone made a very good point about owning his bird rights and whatever team has him by trade deadline is going to have a great advantage at resigning him. therefore here’s where I stand ....if the hawks trade for Drummond I don’t believe it’s all Resseler , I believe it’s also Schlenk and his staff believing it’s a great move to do and they are definitely going to sign him long term. if they don’t trade for him however I believe this is simply really just interest and nothing more!...and we shouldn’t expect the hawks to seriously go after Drummond even in the off season. to me it’s simple ...if the hawks really want him they would go get him IF that was the true plan
  19. Common sense? perhaps..... but maybe just maybe he really do want to stay in Detroit!...there aren’t any reports stating that he asked to be traded
  20. Yup I’m with you...unfortunately for those of us who want to see Drummond here on a good deal it’s likely not to happen. I’ve already faced reality with it
  21. this will make some of you happy..... https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/28425188/amid-trade-talks-andre-drummond-says-wants-finish-career-detroit Amid trade talks, Andre Drummond says he wants to finish career in Detroit
