  1. I think he’s a keeper! At least so far he is
  2. Man this dude can be so awesome on defense. I can’t wait to see him in his prime defensively. He has DPOY potential.
  3. Bertans can do a lot more than I thought he could offensively! Like straight up he IS a perfect offensive fit for how the offense is ran under LP! im not going to lie he may be better trade than Drummond simply based on the offensive impact he COULD have for this team . The problems in terms of rebounds and interior defense would likely still be there however...but perhaps offset to a certain extent by awesome unstoppable team offense with his presence. its worth looking into but what can we give Washington for this guy? Is he worth the Brooklyn pick ?
  4. I’m all for Adams too if no Drummond ! At first I would have taken Adams and Dennis but I’m good with Goodwin as backup point for the time being! i don’t think presti will make a easy trade to get Adams however so it’s likely not to happen. i think we have a better shot at Bertans honestly
  5. I wouldn’t worry just yet about Schlenk actually building the team out with fits. It’s clear he has not tried to really build this team out with actual fits and with traes outstanding 2nd season so far we can thank him for ressler pushing Schlenk to fill out this roster with good fits a year earlier than he intended
  6. Well the owner loves him .....sooo that’s really my only two reasons. Drummond wants to be in Detroit and the owner has made it known that he loves Drummond.
  7. Done! But oddly I’m being blocked from voting on the nba app today
  8. I appreciate that too but it’s not officially a “L” just yet...maybe for rookie season but I too believe reddish could be a star in this era. i will only be ready to take back those beliefs if cam doesn’t show improvement over the summer and going into next season
  9. Does that involve possible scheme change? Both offensively and defensively? Honestly yeah I can see Schlenk loving a trade for him
  10. For a rental no! I wouldn’t expect Schlenk to make such a dumb move for a rental but I thought maybe some kind of commitment to opting in for next season could be done shall a trade went down.
  11. Yup I mean at this point if the hawks want Drummond it’s all on Trae persuading him .
  12. I knew Atlanta could have had Drummond by now if they wanted him...said it earlier in the week but I knew something was up. now reports from Amick “Atlanta can have Drummond if they include a 1st rd pick to their deal” been said this folks!...I think I’m the only one that said “that Brooklyn pick is NOT really on the table”...KNEW IT! Detroit would have taken the deal immediately. it was pretty obvious to me and it’s also obvious that we aren’t getting Drummond at all. Pistons will keep Drummond in free agency I really believe he wants to stay there.
  13. Im good with the hard fought loss we got tonight but Len should not be on the court at the end of games....then again no backup center should. I've accepted fate that we will once again be picking in the lottery even though I feel like a lot of these games are winnable but hey that's just me.... anyways on a side note..... Im really warming up to Anthony Edwards! (and I shouldn't be cause no guarantee we get him) but a Trae Young and Anthony Edwards future back court is just really growing on me! I can't help it!....at first I didn't like the fit with Trae and Edwards due to the ball domination both seem to need to be their best offensive selves, nor did I care if we got the number one pick, but as I keep watching how we play offensively I got to give LP some props on this simple scheme! Its got some real uniqueness to it if you pay attention! and I mean its unique to a point where I can see two ball dominant backcourt mates being able to play together while both getting a great amount of opportunities to run the offense! .....even though Trae is amazing off the pick there is a need to take the ball out his hands when all the double teams come and its what LP has been doing so they can't always double or trap Trae. LP's offense doesn't call for two ball dominate players but again that doesn't mean it can't work! Its simple plays the hawks are running (single screen top of the arc, double screen top of the arc) but if executed properly the shit is hard to stop regardless if the defense know its coming or not. It only gets easy for the defense when they are able trap Trae and Huerter doesn't have it going in that game. But the uniqueness of LP's offense, shows (at least to me) that its possible to have two ball dominate players in the backcourt simply because traps and doubles will force them to use their counterparts anyways and based on the sets I am seeing ran in the half court (single screen or double screen top of the arc mixed with what looks like some basic single or double floppy on the wings towards the side 3pt line)... if there's another highly gifted scorer in the back court with Trae how in the world are you going to stop that?!... You can't double or trap both! ....AGAIN the backcourt doesn't require another gifted scorer like Trae. Huerter as Traes backcourt mate for now and the foreseeable future is fine for the offense, unlike LP's offense that DOES require a center that can offensively do the same things Collins do....BUT Im just throwing the "what if idea" out there! while the backcourt doesn't necessarily NEED another offensive scoring talent like Trae for it to be successful ran one can only imagine how things would be like if we did have another backcourt player who is just as gifted as a scorer back there with Trae. I think if we got lucky enough to get Edwards it could be a dynamic offensive duo in the long run and may be worth tanking for since we are already headed down that path as it is. Im not even a small ball lover...but I can't get this future possible lineup of Trae, Edwards, Reddish, Hunter, Collins out of my head. I mean if we are going to go small ball in this era like everyone else then sign me up for that future lineup come 2022. ....especially now that I don't believe we will be making any kind of trades. I do wonder how much interest the team really has in Bertans as he fits LP's offense perfectly but he wouldn't be much help defensively or on the boards Im sure. But man would he impact the offense! At only 27 he's likely not to ever command to big of a contract so that may look attractive to Schlenk who knows.
  14. Maybe but we all know Cam is a project. I’d rather we keep him than giving him away and He actually live up to what the front office thinks he could become
  15. Yeah no way in hell we give up on cam...maybe 4 years later but right now ???? NOPE
  16. I’ve been saying this the whole time! Dude is not going to get 30 mil or more per season! it just ain’t happening in this love affair era of bigs shooting 3s i think he’s more likely to top out at 23-25 mil per season. Yup I said I’m going to give it until Wednesday or Thursday and if no Drummond by then that tells me where the hawks real interest is on him. i still believe they want him to a certain degree simply because he could be a big help and the free agent class Coming up is weak as you mentioned but a trade would suggest they want his bird rights at the right cost so they could have the upper hand in keeping him even if he opts out. If the pistons are really asking for a young player in return then i as Drummond supporter even understand turning down that deal! You can’t have our young assets, a 1st round draft pick , and expirings for cap relief! No sir!
  17. I agree with this BUT if the hawks drafted Edwards i believe “the future plan” would change to Edwards or Cam being Traes backcourt mate once both are fully developed and huerter would be the odd man out. just my opinion. Huerter is a better fit right now but once all SGs are developed IF we have a SG group of Edwards, Cam, Huerter.....Edwards and Cam would be the ones fighting for the starting SG spot! And that would be a tough tough choice shall both reach full potential! while I love cams length....Edwards has a better chance at being a more elite scorer than cam however I believe cam has a bigger ceiling at defense then Edwards (not to say Edwards will be a bum on that end) In a perfect scenario if we drafted Edwards and ALL our young talent got to their full potential....and I’m Schlenk I’d roll with a small ball lineup of Trae, Edwards, Cam, Hunter, Collins and sixth man Huerter....this would of course mean Collins at least get to avg on defense . But yeah in a perfect scenario for us if all penned out and we had a chance to put this lineup on the floor with them reaching full potential....that’s definite contenders.
  18. Call me crazy but I don’t ever recall a star player and gm attending a college game where a number 1 prospect just so happen to be playing in. i bet Schlenk is trying to convince trae to not worry about wins right now and focus on potentially getting the number one pick to pair him with Edwards. Them both being there is not by mistake or coincidence .
  19. Is this something maybe you heard is the offer perhaps?
  20. Well if it is true I’m glad they rejected it ....you’re not getting a young player and cap relief! No way ! Meaning ?
  21. That reminds me....did everyone go vote for Trae today ?
  22. lol well look we can play the guessing game all day, along with the what if’s game ....both ways clearly has its worth’s
  23. That depends....how badly do you want to add two more youngsters to the 7-10 developing youngsters we already have?....is it necessary to really add 2 more ? Or would one more youngster be ok?
