  1. Free agency looking like a possible strike out for ferry but that's why there are posters like me! So it's my pleasure to present to you.....let's hope: Teague- atleast gets into the all star discussion and have a good (aggressive) full year including playoffs. 18pts/8assist Sap-gets back to the all star game. Plays great basketball another year and just be sap. 18points/10rebs Horford-stay healthy! Get to the all star game and be great leader in the locker room. 18points/10rebs DMC-provide even better defense, keep bringing the high motor, and become the black Kyle Korver as he has stated is his goal. Korver-easy...stay that sharpshooter. Dennis-steal Teagues position if you truly are better. Antić-knock down those open 3balls Patterson-rookie I'm begging you...get into rotation and play extremely well. That's all the positivity I have in me right now with how free agency is going! I'm hopeful that looking in the future and hoping may cheer some of you negative posters up...if not hey I tried.
  2. I just want to know why the hell deng ain't signed here yet and we are offering him the most money? It must not be about money maybe he hates Atlanta.
  3. Easy!...immaturity! Too much power for a young star! Lebron asked for those players...mo Williams, Jamison, old ass shaq and ferrys job was to make lebron happy per Gilbert's request! Just like lebron wants Allen and mike miller in Cleveland now...just like lebron wanted this big 3 in Miami...lebron has controlled his career and been his own gm for nearly his whole career. If you look it up shaq and lebron got into that year shaq played with cavs and shaq split that locker room up. Being that shaq is an ass, I recall him saying that lebron didn't know how to lead and how selfish he was.
  4. Anywhere I can watch the highlights?...I'm extremely excited about Patterson, he's making this roster I just know it.
  5. Yeah would be great if we can sign him...would really may our hawks a legit ECF contender. But I think he's going to go to Chicago unfortunately for us. Greg Monroe anybody?....let's give him a deal that the pistons can't match.
  6. Now that the Miami Big 3 is no more, the east is wide open for our hawks to get a high seed and a 50 win season. If ferry could add just one damn potential all star to the team we already have...I think hawk fans can see a possibly ECF is more likely than ever. Think about it! We are one guy away from a sure 1-3 seed as well as possibly ECF contender! One good signing can put us into some serious contention! Let's hope we can take advantage of this opportunity this season so the hawks can get their name out there for a future likely destination for free agents.
  7. Larry Drew on Korver's defense: “He may not be your DeShawn Stevenson type defender,” said Larry Drew when asked about the 10th-year vet out of Creighton. “But what he is: he’s a great team defender; he’s always in the right spots.” Basically what I said before. Good team defender, terrible one on one defender. Korver isn't a dummy he knows he doesn't have the athleticism to be a good yet alone avg one on one defender but he does have the BBIQ to know where he needs to be in order to provide avg/good team defense...I credit Korver for that.
  8. No problem that's fair but I'm sure most the board will tell you that Korver isn't a great one on one defender but is avg to good in team defense. An hey I'm no expert but when it came to Korver and defense it's always been pretty clear to most. The eye test is definitely reliable when watching Korver play defense as long as he's been in the league...defense isn't a strong thing for him and honestly it never has been. He's kind of the "give all ya got type" which he does, again just not a strong defender. I don't need stats to prove that.
  9. I don't mean to come in on you two arguing but both of you are right and wrong! Korver is a terrible one on one defender. You don't need stats to prove it, the eye test easily shows that...however korvers team defense is avg to good! He does a good job trying his hardest to help out his teammates, picking up on switches, challenging shots when in position, and just having his teammates back(s). One on one he struggles. Team defense he's ok.
  10. Agreed we have better perimeter players adding sef and Bazemore but I still think either Bazemore or the rookie Patterson should start. (Probably Bazemore cause I doubt the rookie Patterson starts). Bazemore gives us that slasher that can hit the 3ball and play solid defense (atleast he showed these capabilities in 23 games in LA). Starting lineup: Pg-Teague Sg-Bazemore (of course make him earn it) Sf-DMC Pf-Sap C-Horford Bench Pg-Dennis/Mack Sg-Korver/Jenkins or Patterson Sf-Sef Pf-Payne/Scott C-Antić I like these lineups a lot more gives us two slashers in the starting lineup (Teague/Bazemore) as well as a good deep bench featuring Korver,Sef,Payne! Korver provides a lot of fire power off the bench...we don't need Korver in the starting lineup with Teague, Sap, Horford...we need another slasher with those guys. Korver isn't going to give us any points in the paint and that's the problem we don't have a pure post scorer and we need to be more balanced in the starting lineup instead of having a bunch of shooters and again from the bench side of things we really need more offense firepower...Korver can bring that easily.
  11. See I don't feel the same way about SF, but again this is just my opinion. DMC is ok with me at SF especially if he gives us another year like what he did this past year which consist of: -play with energy and hustle all game (really that's just naturally in his DNA) -play good defense (did very well defensively this past year just underrated by the media because he's not on a popular team, any good team and they would rave about his defense) -knock down the 3ball (surprised us all with how well he shot last year! Did very well) -help out on the boards (one thing about DMC if you give him the minutes he can grab 6 to 7 boards a game! True hustler all game...really is) See I don't have problems with DMC starting actually I think it's ok and would be even better if we have a slashing SG in the starting lineup with him or switch him to SG and get a slashing SF. DMC just has a more overall capable game than Korver even though Korver is the better shooter. If Korver shot is off (not likely but has happened before) he gives you nothing. If DMC shot is off he can give you solid defense, Rebs, and my favorite high energy all game which does effect the game just look at Noah.
  12. I understand that he's our best shooter and that he is our best floor spreader and hell happens to be the best damn shooter in the NBA but I just don't agree with him playing starter minutes. Korver did well in the playoffs this past year but I think we have to take a page out the bulls book and realize that Korver is a player who should definitely get a bunch of minutes hell probably should be in during close games because he's such a good shooter but he's still a one trick pony like it or not. Yes....He's ok on team defense but he's just not a starter to me and he never will be, that's just my opinion. If Korver shot is off which isn't often but lets not act like it hasn't happened before!....remember the first time we played the pacers in the playoffs (last year, not this past year) I recall that his shot was off therefore he couldn't really provide us anything and he was just useless. Again he should def get minutes but he is not a starter. So most of you know where I'm heading with this and yes as far as our roster goes I think the SG starter duties should be battled out between Bazemore and rookie Patterson, even as younger players I think they give us more overall at the SG position but I understand most of you don't see it like that. How I see our SG: Korver/Jenkins- both one trick ponies with the 3ball, Korver has ability to play ok team defense & some possessions it's good team defense but at the end of the day these two stink at defense...it is what it is. Bazemore/Patterson-both has the ability to get into the lane Bazemore is more athletic and better at it. Patterson is a good ass passer for a SG. Both can hit the 3ball and what I like most about these young guys, both play defense better than Korver/Jenkins....well the rookie is unproven but I kept up well with him on the college level and his defense was good at that level where I think he can transfer that to the NBA level in my opinion. (Just saying bring Korver off the bench to give the bench a spark and give him plenty of minutes of course but lets not start him.)
  13. After getting Bazemore I rather have gasol now. Hopefully ferry is done with deng.
  14. If gasol is signed probably Scott or muscala...personally I been thinking Mack may be gone this off season but that's just a guess
  15. I hope not...I think he's valuable enough to provide good minutes when needed.
  16. PREACH!!! I'm said these same things no star atleast lets try to be a deep team.
  17. Ok I like this deal! Let's get gasol now!
  18. Come on gasol make a decision! Take it or leave it... Take it! (Desperate hawk fan over here)
  19. Many don't understand his worth especially in buds system
  20. Please get gasol! That would atleast get me excited for next year
