That's putting a lot of faith in Teague...I'm sure sap will show up but you NEED Teague to be at the least decent just to stay in the game against the heat/pacers.But anything is possible....I will say this if Teague continues this bad play to end the season but then shows out consistently in the playoffs. I will be lost for words!

Lets not be fooled...even if our team did take an elite team to 7 like they have before. We would still need a star player and better overall team.Yeah, yeah....we took Boston to 7, eventually started getting out of the 1st round and was usually beat down in round 2....taking a team to 7 is nice but not satisfying even with this group cause I know deep down this isn't a championship team.

The good thing is that ferry is not an idiot....we know this from the Johnson trade. But man what possibly are you doing?-the team isn't set up for a major trade for a superstar but we can get a high potential player.-the team isn't set up for a promising draft player...due to ferry and bud wanting to continue to compete-free agency is just a joke when it comes to this franchise...we may be able to sign another sap tier player but that's not guranteed.Lol I'm coming to the conclusion that ferry really has more faith in this current hawks team than what many believed....and I really believe that.

Please explain this "Danny Ferry is setting the team up so that he can take advantage of any situation that comes up."Free Agency-ferry has set this team up for free agency before and though it's not his fault, no matter the amount of cap space the team may have ferry will strike out in free agency again. The free agency route is not for ATLTrade-ferry has set this team up for trade and didn't make a move! Not because there aren't any but because you almost NEVER get back equal value. Even when you trade star players you don't get back equal value....melo, lebron, bosh, Howard...you never get back good value! So what possibly do you think ferry can get for milsap and horford?Draft-last but no least the good ol draft! Another place ferry has striked out on....or has he?!....everybody that's drafted don't play or is overseasThere's no way you see a plan out of this!

That's true....what about Dennis though? I thought he was our future pg if Teague didn't pan out. And to answer your question "YES"...I don't like tanking but it needs to be done.By the way Scott deserves more of a starter role now with the way he's been playing and the wau the season is going now.

That's fair but Rome was also planned out I'm sure!....why aren't we starting our young guys that have high potential which really is only 2 in Dennis and Scott?I guess Rome kept pondering for months and months before they actually made a move....or years.......at this point nobody's asking for ferry to pull something out his ass. I'm asking him to at the least develop our future players since the season has went to hell! Or is Dennis and Scott not the future?...it's confusing.

On the outside looking in, this is what's going on:1. Ferry didn't trade Teague who's having a horrible year, which shows faith in Teague in my opinion.2. Despite Teagues down year and his backups out playing him, coach bud continues to start him rather than trying to develop Mack or Dennis.....again this shows faith in Teague from ferry and now coach bud as well.3. Ferry and coach bud are actually still trying to actually compete rather than tanking at this point!.....so that brings us to these questions for ferry.1. Why did you draft Dennis? Cause right now is the perfect time to train him since the season has went to hell....is he really our future pg?2. How much do you really value Teague?....it looks like a lot because he's still starting even after all these bad performances....huh, better question where's your faith in Dennis?3. Why aren't you trying to tank at this point? You had massive cap space last off season and failed....not to say that's your fault but haven't you recognized the trend? Superstars don't come to ATL.So let's get this straight...you HAVE to know free agency and ATL don't have any good luck so tanking is the next best option but you still choose to compete and make the playoffs and miss out on supposively one of the best drafts in years?!Lol voice your concern hawksquawk because theres not one positive thing going on for us right now!-were not tanking-we can't pickup top talent free agents money or no money -we aren't even trying to develop our young talent for the future and the season has went downhill!How the hell can you even be a motivated hawks fan at this point?!!! I understand the comments but when I see guys like Roy Hibbert avg 7-9 points and 7 Rebs...then be considered one of the better centers in this league I just feel we need to give some of these bigger guys like Pittman a actual chance meaning significant playing time.

True but I'm not expecting bud to really play him enough to show what he has. But ferry picked him up for a reason so hopefully he comes through!...would really fill a need we've had for years.

Pittman is 6'11...285 pounds...and 25 YEARS YOUNG.In my opinion he hasn't really had a real shot in the nba as he has only played in 48 nba games in his 3 years of experience.So I'm asking...what's the catch with this guy? Judging by his height and weight he fits the true center model we've been asking for, for years and he's young but something is telling me that ferry isn't really serious about him.

Goodness man this was a bit disappointing to me but like I've said before Im not going to throw in the towel on ferry……BUT I expect some major rebuilding moves this summer! That doesn't mean star players that just means players with high potential that can develop. Ferry did keep it real when he said "We have to continually and methodically make sound decisions to put ourselves in the best position to succeed. You are going to need some luck. You are going to need some health. You are going to need a lot of things." Damn I've heard similar things from other gms that Ferry has said in this article but the statement above was just plain out as real as it gets. Especially when he said you are going to need some luck to succeed.

LOL but in all seriousness dude(s) Jason Walker was right on the money!….AJC articles on the hawks suck ass, peach tree really are the better more detailed articles! Its like Viv don't have the resources to get any good detailed info! Instead Viv writes an article that we have either already seen or we all ready knew the obvious points he writes about. I don't know, I use to enjoy reading ajc articles on the hawks especially when Sekou was there….damn I guess everything about Atlanta is starting to fall into a pit…the team stinks and chris viv is a garbage writer! Why can't he find good info for us hawks fans to ponder on? or is ferry's non communicating spurs mentality making the ajc articles on the hawks a sudden failure?…who knows.

I hate to sound negative but you and I know damn well we aren't going to get close to any of those guys. Just too many teams trying to tank on purpose. If we start losing now we may get a chance to draft Marcus smart as I've seen that he's in the 7-11 range but really that may be a pipe dream as well.

Exactly! I'm done thinking stars don't want to come here or that the asg won't pay for them...that's complete bull sh*t. It has nothing to do with that...it has to do with the culture of this team. This team has made so many mistakes I'm sure star players consider us but then they say "well I don't mind being in Atlanta but I don't want to end up in a melo situation or Kevin Love situation"....I honestly believe that's why stars don't come here, they don't trust we will put a worthy team around them that can compete and judging by our history can you blame them?Not only that but the way things are going now. I wish this was true but every GM isn't smart nor is every owner. Many get that get this GM position, got it because of their name. Just because we are fans don't mean we don't know smart basketball moves or how salaries work.I know ferry isn't dumb, he sees this shit crew that put out in the Phillips arena.

But see I don't understand that....I'm not saying trade now because it's the deadline. I'm saying make a trade because the players you have, have hit their ceiling or have no high potential except 1 or 2 guys in Dennis and Scott.What's the point of staying flexible? We gon stay flexible all the way until 2016 and still be wondering if the team will ever get better?Why are we worried about long term and short term? Let's say ferry assemble a team he likes in 2016...well now we have to wait for those guys to learn buds system! Why isn't ferry getting the puzzle pieces one at a time?....is he really trying to acquire the whole puzzle at once?Scratch all that.....let's say we stand pat with this current team which is 90 percent a chance, now what?....is ferry wasting buds coaching on players that he doesn't plan on keeping for the long term? Why the hell aren't we starting DENNIS?!!!!!We can compete by developing our rookie! If no trades atleast give Dennis some real playing time so that he can develop! He's going to struggle regardless so play him now so by 22/23 he can potentially be a beast!.....WTF is the plan here ferry/bud?

IM NOT THROWING IN THE TOWEL ON FERRY!....he needs atleast another 1.5 years until I really see the writing on the wall. But dammit what are these guys doing? Please let this happen!....I hope we get both jam an and hill somehow and get rid of Teague and Lou.Kaman and hill aren't no where near superstar players but this seems like a pipe dream unfortunately, like everything else.

But that's just it. Teague didn't break our like most of us were hoping....he actually regressed. I'm not surprised that ferry is trying to get rid of him now before he starts to regress even more.

It convinces me that ferry knows he made his first huge mistake being as a hawks gm.
