I hope it happens! The truth is, even though Minny is having an outstanding regular season are they true contenders right now ? Murray and Edwards along with Gobert would likely give them the same results with better defense. i know they are already number 1 defensively but getting a defensive guard at point who can still drop 20 would be beneficial for them . For the Hawks I love the potential front court of JJ, OO, KAT paired with Trae!….it’s a definite pipe dream for us but man if it can get done!….Landry would go in the Hawks history books.

If we get KAT that would be a legendary trade for the Hawks! but man ya know…shit just don’t go our way. i definitely believe they are in discussion.

One of the insiders reported that Synder loves Siakam too. I don’t recall if that was @NBASupes or @Sothron but I believe the FO is likely getting pushed by Trae and Synder to bring Siakam on board.

I wish Siakam wanted to stay here then I’d be fully on board with this trade. i wish the money would entice him to stay since we’d own his bird right but shit I don’t blame him if he wants to go to Philly to play with Embiid and Maxey …no offense to my hawks but I would make that move too!

Unfortunately this seems so true! Hell when we got Murray it seem like the rumors started exactly 2 days before we actually got him. Didn’t even know Murray was on the market and don’t recall insiders mentioning it too many days before the trade went down. News was broken here first that we got Murray before it hit national media.

Seems like a for sure rental. Makes it tough to trade for him unless little Nicky can convince his dad that he has to max Siakam with any hopes of keeping him or maybe the plan is to SnT Siakam worse case for Tobias Harris + filler.

If Jalen weren’t on a rookie contract maybe it would make more sense but yeah I agree it would be a really dumb move.

I’m so worried we are trading JJ. there’s no way they believe Trae, Murray, Siakam can really do that much more than Trae, Murray, Jalen.

Our front court is already weak and now they are going to possibly trade JJ for a rental ??? That’s insane i rather risk trading Murray.

Never thought about that but that could be true. I never considered that his knee may be holding back his perimeter defense.

I believe DJ is still a tough kid but the team isn’t constructed right for him to play the 2 as impactful as he could . While Zeke and Dumars was a small back court team who could defend they also had a beast front court defensively. If our front court was more aggressive, taller, lengthier, with a flat out dog mentality I believe the Trae/DJ backcourt would have worked fine but our front court is the opposite minus JJ. Anyways once his dad and Trae dad started saying he’s out of position and holding that conversation on X (twitter) I knew there were internal discussions going on about doing something with DJ. i don’t know what poster said it but they were spot on! Once Traes defense started to drastically improve this season that was a negative for DJ because now he’s guarding 2s nightly and Snyder isn’t trying to hide Trae defensively like Nate was but that’s a whole different conversation that need it’s own thread.

Capela may yes but when Bogi is in the right system he clearly flourishes. It’s really tough to me to trade Bogi at this point. most are overlooking his value due to the injuries. Bogi is not only playing better cause of his health. He’s also playing better because of the perfect Fit in this offense.

I am going to be so upset if it’s bogi. with bogi we should have better guarantees, can’t sell Bogi for a Siakam rental in my opinion. i would rather sell on murray for a Siakam rental just based on the fact that Bogi fits Synders scheme perfectly vs Murray who doesn’t.

lol you guys definitely know something sounds like some kind of framework has been agreed upon. I will respect the source and not ask but I hope we aren’t going to be dissatisfied with whatever it is.

Sounds like JJ may be involved on the trade instead of Hunter…just reading between the lines .

JJ is pretty good at on ball defense. I’m not saying he’s a finishing product but it’s all a work in progress at this point. Well like you said a few post ago it’s a risk worth taking at this point.
