  1. Bogi fits Quinn’s system and he’s healthy. If we were winning games he’d be the run away sixth man winner. It doesn’t make sense to trade Bogi unless it’s in a package for true star return. Bogi has more value than Murray right now in my opinion.
  2. I’m getting ready to make some folks mad but I would trade Murray to get Siakam and move Hunter to the 2. This may be our chance to put size and length all around Trae while keeping decent shooting around. I’m not too worried about positional basketball. JJ & Siakam can both play the the 3 & 4. I’d love to see a starting lineup of Trae, Hunter, JJ, Siakam, and Vucevic. I believe this trade works once all players are eligible to be traded.
  3. Trae has nothing to do with that. We have a very incapable front office.
  4. WOW really??? that would have been another losing trade for the Hawks. we really must have a 2k Front Office in place.
  5. Not a great question to ask someone who dislikes Trae. The conversation should be about putting better value around Trae. Any other season I’d get on Trae for his lack of defense but this season I don’t care what the haters say…there’s nothing you can truly say about Trae. Dude ain’t the issue even on defense and it’s driving his haters crazy because they can’t figure out what else to say or blame .
  6. Nice to see that not all of our fans are blind to Traes defensive improvements! Fact is Trae is doing enough defensively vs 1s to help us win games this season. Great for Trae but his teammates are struggling bad.
  7. It’s actually an awful trade! We do not need to trade Hunter . Unless there are plans to also trade Capela for a stretch 5.
  8. I don’t believe we are missing JC…but I know we are missing JJ. The only bad thing about the JC trade is giving him away for nothing. we don’t have a valuable backup 4 once Jalen got hurt. Bey is playing out of place though he brings passion and aggression at the 4 but he should truly be backing up the Hunter at the 3. We have way too many size issues with this roster even before the JC trade and ultimately it’s time to take some risk we’ve been too afraid to make.
  9. All of this is good but what’s the solution???
  10. Well ok bad comparison to iso Joe…I agree. i guess what I mean is that Hunter need to stick with what he can do in terms of dribbling and not try to do more than that. you didn’t see iso Joe out there trying to do Jamal Crawford handles…I think Hunter just gets ahead of himself and don’t stick to his dribbling abilities that’s all .
  11. I’m on board for a Clint for Vuc trade also. We not getting the defense or rebounding from Clint so mind as well try to create more space offensively for our two guards.…mind as well
  12. It’s not about dribbling it’s about controlling the ball which he can do. Hunter is a one dribble pull up guy, similar to Paul Pierce & ISO Joe in terms of style. i think Hunter gets himself in trouble when he starts trying to dribble like he has point guard handles. if he learns to use his body and size against 2s he has all star potential at this position
  13. A few have already stated it but with Traes improved effort defensively this year it backs up the advanced stats (so far anyways but truth is effort goes a very long defensively and can make up for size and strength issues at times )… Trae has proven that he can be built around as a center piece but you have to understand the right makeup of what that looks like. We can certainly be a good defensive team with Trae but again it’s understanding what’s needed. In my opinion LP was the only coach of the Trae era that had the right vision in terms of what’s needed around Trae BUT he just couldn’t coach or motivate the team correctly but I’ve always liked the fact that LPs vision was to put size and length around Trae WHILE keeping the floor spread as much as possible. we haven’t seen that since the ECF year and that to me has been the downfall of the Trae era. Our so called front office experts don’t know how to build around Trae. The vision doesn’t seem to be there. Unfortunately we need the front office to have this type of mindset and vision of putting size and length around Trae at all costs in order to get to contender status with Trae as our center piece. Easier said than done but they’re the experts. I love DJ but I would seriously consider packaging DJ, Bogi, Capela on the market to see what big man all star center we can get. I would move Hunter to the 2, Jalen to the 3, OO to the 4, and all star center from a trade at the 5 would top it off. Hunter at the 2 gives us a huge size advantage and we could possibly unleash “baby Kawhi”…Jalen as we know is loads of talent and he’s aggressive and confident like OO. Ive been thinking about this for some time now and I don’t think the FO should be afraid to make moves.
  14. Yup and It’s working for the bucks. their defense is ass but it’s tough to defend Giannis and Dame for 48 minutes.
  15. Well excuse the f**k out of me !!! I had no clue you didn’t watch the games. Now that is ignorance at its best ! How do you not watch the games ????? I now know to ignore your every post. @sturt only joking by the way.
  16. You two are or seem to be missing the point. It’s not about Caruso being here, hell I would welcome him here also but Bogi + two first rd picks to bring in Caruso is as idiotic as it gets. If they do a deal like that there is clearly something wrong with our front office. Caruso should not be demanding two first rd picks to go along with a potential 6th man candidate in Bogi. If we were talking (and I know it’s a rumor)…but if we are talking Bogi + a second pick for Caruso + Pat Williams then I’d say ok that’s a fair trade. Besides pat Williams is second rd talent at best right now. but by no means can anyone convince me that Caruso defense is so good and so impacting that it would cost us Bogi and two first rd picks to get!…no way in hell….Caruso is a good defender but he is not game changing like that. it’s not about losing offense to gain defense …it’s about trading away too much value in à desperation move to fix the defense where it’s no guarantee we’d be significantly better. you both watch these games…we actually get stops but we can’t rebound for shit. Is Caruso going to help us get stops and we still allow a crazy amount of offensive boards ??? Make it make sense. The real truth is we need another big who will attack the boards cause we only truly have 1 and the one good rebounder we have has other major flaws in his game.
  17. Smh if we trade Bogi for that I’m at a complete lost with this team. it also shows they have no vision.
  18. Exactly. It’s not a good trade and doesn’t move the needle for us. Caruso is a good defender but I rather we do something else. basically we are saying curuso is worth Bogi + two first picks!…WTF! ….His defense is good but not that damn good. Curuso doesn’t fix the huge rebounding issues we have. we mind as well throw in Capela for vucevic while we are at it
  19. Hate that trade can’t even lie
  20. Trae balled out and tried to keep us in it but we lack so much length and strength. shit went down hill when Synder took Trae and Capela out the game. say what you guys want but this feel like the old hawks relying all on trae offensively. When the ball is in his hands good things are happening in this game. When it’s not it’s like we can’t score. I hope Murray get it together or maybe Bogi need more minutes this game. Yeah it happened as soon as Capela was out of the game. Synder left CC out way too long. Capela was dominating them before he sat.
  21. Patty should be getting more minutes in blowouts like this in my opinion. he can be a big factor later on in the year
  22. Traes offense is officially in season form.
  23. Overall hawks look a little sluggish to me tonight . They aren’t up and down the court as fast as they normally are. it doesn’t look like we are playing at the same pace so far.
