  1. let's get it right...his signature dunk is the tomahawk, not windmill and definitely not coming from damn near the free throw line...and Wade missed an easy dunk so what's the issue about missing a dunk....secondly, I'm quite sure he knows that he can make the dunk, it's not like he got choked or didn't have enough air under him...besides it's a dangerous dunk so I'm quite sure he have tried it before...maybe, just maybe he have done it at practice
  2. I concur with everything except the political talk...can we leave politics out of this...but I do agree with everything else
  3. Oh man...how could I forget the time Michael Jordan shot a free throw with his eyes closed. Come on now...eyes closed, free throw...A FREE POINT....lol but some people find any reason to keep an agenda/propaganda going...always trying to compare today's players and their flashiness with the old skool...they were even more flashier....I haven't heard of anyone else shooting with their eyes closed since...how quickly some people forget...or never knew because they are just now starting to watch basketball
  4. To answer your hypothetical question...I will say that a 360 windmill is flashier than both. Now, flashy is flashy, just depends on who you are asking some people will give one a 9 and the other a 10 and vice versa. And oh please, playoff series or not, if the game is over, the game is over. I guess you never played basketball and at the end of the game, try shots that you normally would not take, a big man taking a three pointer. And in the days of Bird, Magic, and Nique (someone else asked what would they have done), the "flahsy" dunks were the double pumps and the windmill (one and two handed), and 360. They did them, in runaway games and not even blowouts, as long as they had open court. If you are up by 30 why continue to run fast breaks and shoot threes (just to add on to the lead, and humiliate the opponents). Next hypthetical question? P.S. How is that celebrating? I call it putting the "nail in the coffin stimulation play", the exclamation point
  5. WOW!! This was my very argument in about 4-5 different posts. I can't believe this is what the debate is about. But everyone wants to jump down the man's throat because he "showboated" on a dunk attempt, because he "disrespected" the heat on a dunk attempt...gtfoh
  6. There's a reason he's not here and a reason why he's not coaching...again reference Lebon game 3 against Detroit in THIS YEAR'S playoff series less than A WEEK ago...no b******g about that huh?
  7. Thank you sir, may i have another?!
  8. I have referenced this about 20 times...yet no one seems to discredit this fact and no one is crying and whining about it neither...someone else stated that Josh Smith is not Lebron...so Josh can't make a fascinating dunk because he ain't Lebron...gtfoh...get real. I hear no one screaming of Lebron's immaturity for that play...go to a Cleveland forum and see if their fans are complaining...it is a shame that this play is what Hawks fans are debating
  9. FTW Thank you LeBron did a spectacular dunk on Detroit, IN Detroit where he came from b/w the FT line and key and did a windmill...no crying or whining about that play...I'm quite sure ESPECIALLY not from Cleveland fans like the Hawks "fans"
  10. I don't see anything wrong with what Josh did! Please tell me what he did wrong? Before you explain, compare the difference b/w his dunk and Lebron taking off from the key (just inside the free throw line) and doing a windmill against Detroit in game 2 or 3 I think when they were up in a blowout. Really?!?! What is the difference? We were in a blowout game. It was not in traffic. Not over anyone as to an icrease in injury risk or disrespect to someone for "trying" them.
  11. :no-no: lol, go to Vegas much, I do pretty frequently. I think this same thought. There is too much dictating of the game with bad calls and phantom calls and whatnot. You would think that the NBA would do like the NFL, Mike Pereira, head of NFL officiating, and review each call after the game is over for validity to fix any problems or questionable calls, especially after the Donaghy fiasco. But they don't and they won't. Why? Because Stern has got his hand in the cookie jar somewhere. Too many fans have publicly complained about the phantom calls, the missed calls on superstars, and the treatment in general that the superstars get. Plus, they would have to change the rule for traveling because, BOY!! These players know they be traveling.
  12. Thanks! I appreciate the update. Dang, I hope they are wrong on the report of Horford, and someone else stated that he is attempting to play Friday night. It can't be no high ankle sprain then, hopefully. We need Marvin back if we make it to the Cleveland series to guard Lebron. If only it is to "contain" him.
  13. I'm not saying it was a dirty play...but it made me think of the Warren Sapp hit on Rivera from Green Bay I think, the blindsided, out of the play hit. It was legal but ill-advised. Wade legitimately went for the block, but how could you not think you wouldn't hurt someone trying to block it from that angle. Most people should know that if you was to touch someone's body, even slightly, ESPECIALLY at the velocity they were going while they are in mid air, you are going to throw off their balance. It could have been a lot worse where his head hit the bottom of the backboard or he hit his face slam into the ground face first. I know this was a movie but remember on Sixth Man how Dwayne Wayne (Kadeem Hardison) push the star player from the other team (Flex Alexander) into the backboard by just speeding up his momentum, the same principle applies. Increase the velocity or momentum of someone or something unknowingly and it throws off their balance.
  14. This is my gripe, everyone who is complaining about Josh missing that dunk. What about in the Cleveland-Detroit series in Game 2 I think, when Lebron did a windmill from the key when they were in a blowout? Nobody complained about that, just amazaed at where he jumped from and how high we was on that dunk. Spectacular wasn't it? Slap in the face? NO! What about all the windmills, double pumps, reverse pumps (which Nique did ALL THE TIME, IN THE GAME), and 360s that people do, have done, and will continue to do, when they are in the open court? Spectacular aren't they? Slap in the face? NO! It's a DUNK!! It just happened that he tried a spectucular dunk and missed. How is trying a dunk when you have won the game showboating or a slap in the face? If it is, then dunking period is a slap in the face. If that's the case, he should just pull a Joe Johnson and just lay it up....just so everyone can cry about that!! This is sad and ridiculous!! I'm sorry it wasn't Lebron who tried the dunk, I'm sorry it wasn't Kobe that tried the dunk, I'm sorry it wasn't Wade that tried the dunk. It was Josh Smith!! What about in game one when Wade did a reverse dunk in the 1st half in Zaza's face in a tight game instead of just laying it up? That should be disrespectful then. And Mo Evans dunk last night all in O'neal's or Haslem's face should be offensive, not a wide open dunk in open court. And all of you sheep are falling into the media hype. If he would've tried that in traffic in a tight game, NOW THAT WOULD'VE BEEN DISRESPECTFUL AND BONEHEADED!! Rant Over!! :hush:
  15. So that is the last word on Bawse...an ankle sprain? Hope it is not a high ankle sprain. How long is he projected to be out? I didn't know Marvin was in a cast. I thought it was his back that was keeping him out! Any update will be greatly appreciated :angel19:
  16. I have to peacefully disagree. The league KNOWS who Smoove is. They know what he is capable of. He is the Hawks "Highlight Factory." NBA fans already know how exciting he is. It has been mentioned by anyone and everyone that if he gets more consistent with his jumper and plays more cerebral, he's an All-Star, plus he brings energy and excitement. He's ready for the big stage.
  17. Now that is some motivating, encouraging s**t right there...I'm there again tonight and throughout the entire series if/when we make the FINALS!!
  18. I think Joe was more nervous than Smoove...lol, he kept rubbing his neck..."anxiety..can't breath..need to take off this turtle neck, it's chokin' me"...lol nah but Joe is reserved anyways so I think he was more timid and nervous, Josh was willing to speak
  19. MacDaddy, do you mind if I use that on a poster board during the game...WHAT A F'IN SLOGAN!! I love that...sorry bro..hope you don't mind but i gotta use it man :angel19:
  20. I'm shocked myself....hopefully now he can submit
  21. lol :angel19: You got me there but honestly I meant his first three seasons when it was stated that he was going to be nothing but a dunker...in a previous post, you asked when was this stated, it was right after he won the dunk contest. Now he is trying to work on his game...Hawks fans should know that he has a GREAT work ethic, it's his attitude, maturity, and decision making that he needs to work on....the statement about the last 10 games is that Mark Price has been working with him, maybe it's finally paying off and in the nick of time
  22. He doesn't have a current "range" he is defining it as we speak...so sit back and be a witness...and the previous 3 years he rarely took a three pointer and now figures to devlelop his game to extend it to the perimeter...so what about the +40% he has been shooting the last 10 games in those two areas from the perimeter....disregard those huh? and disregard the fact that Mark Price is publicly and in practice working with Smoove on his jumper for more consistency and better form, (more arch)...pay attention :snowballfight:
  23. He doesn't have a current "range" he is defining it as we speak...so sit back and be a witness
  24. so just disregard all the shots that he has made at at 40% clip and higher which is in 2 areas around the perimeter...and the last 5 games is just unbelievable and the last 10 games is above average...last 10 games is 8-18 from 3 and the last 5 games is 8-14 from 3 pt...I'll take "let him continue to improve his shot going into the playoffs" for 2,000 Alex BTW...check out Bibby with same criteria...WOW!! Hate Much?!?
