  1. I'm serious, and trade out 6th men, Stackhouse for Murray and even center, Dampier for Horford (this is questionable) but horford hasn't done anything better than Dampier and he's a bigger body, a traditional center.
  2. I mean seriously. "Enough" improvement. The fact that he has improved EACH year and that he works on his game EVERY off season and that he strives to better himself is proof enough. What does he has to do, increase 5 pts and 3 rebs and 2 blks every year to prove that he is showing "enough" improvement. Who was the most consistent and ready Hawk in the playoffs this year. JJ-(in the voice of Chris Rock) HELL NO!!, Bibby-2nd most,-Horford (before injury)-nothing, Zaza-1 beast game and a couple of nice complementary games, Flip-3rd but did have boneheaded plays and more than Smith and has a even more "free reign" than JJ. Who was it? We all know, say it with me now!?! :thumbsupsmileyanim:
  3. This is called "incremental analysis!" You study the trend of how something or someone has been producing. With that study, you compare current trends with past trends to estimate the immediate future. Smoove has gotten better EVERY year and WANTS and STRIVES to improve each off season. This "he has reached his peak" talk is nonsense. How do you come to that analysis or conclusion when he has improved each year and continues to work in the off season to better himself. And he is only 23. Who in da he11 has reached their prime at 23. Kobe, no, but he had Shaq at a young age. Wade, LeBron, who knows, Jordan, AI, Bird, Magic...WHO?! Who has reached their prime at 23, I'm VERY curious?
  4. Name them. Smith puts up numbers across the board. If he has better shot selection and mans the post more, he is a 25 and 10 players along with 5 assists and 3 blocks a game. That is rare. He is a decent passer when focused and we don't have to think about blocks. He just needs a vocal coach or player to get onto him when he is out of pocket, someone to put him in his place and set him up for success. Those same 5 years he's been in the league, he's had the same lame coach who is too afraid to chastise or discipline one of his own players. A coach is the real leader of a team. He is the one responsible for getting the most out of players. Smith came in the league young and with a raw game. His coach has not developed that talent by keeping him focused and disciplined. I agree that the only people on our roster that is going to bring in another all-star in return is Smoove and Joe. But WHY IS THAT?! Even though Smoove has his flaws and has never been an all-star, why does he garner all-star talent in return. BECAUSE HE IS A RARE TALENT THAT WITH THE RIGHT COACHING AND DEVELOPMENT WILL BECOME DOMINANT!!
  5. I doubt he has reached his ceiling. He has improved EVERY year. He can be a 25 and 10 player EASILY. All it takes is shot selections and staying in the post about 25% more of the time that he floats around the perimeter. How can he do that? A real coach to hone in on his talent. He wouldn't do that with a vocal all-star. D Wade wouldn't allow him to do that, Chris Paul wouldn't, Kobe wouldn't. What I'm saying is...he hasn't reached his ceiling. He gets majority of his points from all over the floor...perimeter shots, fts, post, and dunks...if he had someone vocal, anyone, the coach or a superstar....he would reach his ceiling.
  6. What is with all this trade Smoove? He was the most consistent Hawk in both playoff series. the kid is a rare talent and has a ceiling as good as anyone in the NBA not named Lebron or Kobe...but at the PF position. People are talking trade him for picks to pick up Thabeet who at 7'3 couldn't even shine on a 6'7-6'8 Blair or for a Rick Rubio...yeah, get real. Thabeet is not gonna even be better than Oden. Rubio is not gonna be an all-star pg. I think ANY and EVERY GM would give up the draft pick for Smoove. Blake, might turn out to be good might not...look at what Shellhead did in college, at Boozer, at Brand, they are above average players in the NBA today...not the same college dominance presence they once were. Smoove can be dominate in the NBA now!!
  7. I see you from Dallas so you are being more subjective. Dirk has ALWAYS had a nice supporting cast. He's always had that point guard (Steve Nash, JT, Devin Harris), he's always had the small forward (Howard, Mashburn, and Devin George is seviceable) and he always had a serviceable big (Dampier, Diop--defensive, now Bass) and they always had a nice 6th man...Stackhouse, now Terry. And Dirk is a top 15 player based solely on his offensive ability...rebounding, assists, steals, blocks, defense, leadership, and showing up in big games...NADA!! Smoove is scratching his way as you say, but he puts numbers up across the boards P.S. It is only a few things that Smoove needs to hone in and he will be THAT guy nobody wants to face...shot selection and work on his jumper, work on his low post moves which he has OBVIOUSLY increased exponentially (just needs to play lower more consistently), and give the ball up on the break, and quit crying and complaining, even though he have legitimate gripes at times, he's an emotional player who plays with ALL heart. P.S.S. Rebuttal?
  8. I didn't say worser and I didn't say less valuable...but I would take Smoove over Dirk. Yes Dallas did do that in the WC but Dirk didn't show up to play...it was JT and Stackhouse that was doing it in the playoffs. JT was hitting big shot after big shot. He just couldn't keep it up with Wade in the Finals. Dirk has always had a good supporting cast.
  9. He probably try to stay away from Vegas now...he put up two years salary on the Cavs game :line dance: :laughing5:
  10. This is just ignorant talk here. If Smoove is garbage, what is JJ because Smoove was obviously the team leader throughout the playoffs!! Look at Dallas' exits in the playoffs and how long Dirk has been "leading" that team. Yes, he's getting it done in the WC but, has only made it the Finals once in his career in his prime. By the time Smith is in his prime, I think we could make the Finals at least once and maybe even when with the right pieces in place like Dirk had.
  11. True!! Notice that I stated I would become an armchair GM. I'm not a season tix holder but I ALWAYS make like at least 15-20 games. And even more in recent years. I would just stay home for the entire season and watch from home.
  12. I think he is...I think he is the big man's coach...Hakeem Olajuwon please....just make him an official coach or at least a consultant like Mark Price, he already works with Smoove in the offseason, well last year anyway
  13. In the words of Damon Wayans and David Alan Grier "In Living Color"...HATED IT!! meaning, I doubt that...SERIOUSLY let's go iso Joe
  14. Me too!! This puts Woodson at ease and thinking that he is going about coaching the right way...management should have kept mum on the situation to put him in a hot seat so he can do some thinking outside the box and re-assess the season to see what he coulda, shoulda done differently
  15. What he said, but change 'throw up' to go postal...lol j/k but I think he is holding the franchise back and it does make it hard to support the Hawks financially, I will support my Hawks from home wearing one of my Jerseys and call the game as an armchair gm!! Joe Johnson iso at the top of the key, Flip Murray on the drive against 3 players, 4 players WIDE OPEN, he takes the shot, miss...*sigh* why couldn't Arthur Blank buy the Hawks and Phillips...DAMMIT!! :help wanted:
  16. "They are not gonna capitalize on the maximum potential of the fanbase. After seeing mediocre coaching and non-development of talent, bench, and an offensive system...people will probably start saving their money for Falcons season tix. I know I am. I will not go see them again until I see ownership take steps to improve the team." I'm way ahead of you my man!!
  17. Let me research it, but I thought the Hawks had one of the biggest increase in ticket sales
  18. They are not gonna capitalize on the maximum potential of the fanbase. After seeing mediocre coaching and non-development of talent, bench, and an offensive system...people will probably start saving their money for Falcons season tix. I know I am. I will not go see them again until I see ownership take steps to improve the team.
  19. :laughing5: :lol6: :help wanted3:
  20. Now this right here is a classy and meaningful post. I was gonna respond with venom but this is the truth and legitimate assessment IMO. I mean, I don't think LeBron is a dirty player or a taunting player...he just enjoys the game and has fun playing it. With that said, why even go for the block on Smoove in a blowout. It was a foul and was not called. That taints the game. It was gonna be a blowout win anyway but why taint the game.
  21. Exactly...he's an elitist..snap back to reality
  22. Uhhmm no!! You don't see Tom Brady just throwing a hail mary pass when they are up by 21 at the end of the game just to see how strong his arm is do you. Jordan, btw, the first time was after his dad died, the second time he felt like he could just switch sports and be the next Bo Jackson...WRONG!! WRONG!! He saw how bad he sucked and learned his lesson and stuck to what he knew best...and the third time, he just knew he wasn't himself anymore....ya'll come back ya hear
  23. LAMO!! RRRRiiiightttt!! Notice a trend. Last year it was Zaza on KG, Zaza got some fandom love and now Solo wants to get some love too!! NEVER BACK DOWN!! I love it, he gets some love from me...that's should be our new slogan.
  24. LMAO!! And then jumped on the scorer's table after breaking the rim and giving the underarmour chant...not to mention being laughed at by "choking" by missing a free throw line, being shown gang signs and chit like that...yeah, you're right, we have taken a lot of flack
