You must mean too short. Cause weight wise Zion is bigger than Karl was already lol.
We'll see how things work out for him at Duke though, I don't think their big 3 is a good fit for each other play-style wise at all.
Technically speaking the GM did still make the final call. He just chose not to go with what they wanted and instead go for a player they would all be okay with. I don't think that decision making should lead to losing his job. Especially not based on one draft.
At the same time you definitely aren't going to always agree on every decision, especially draft wise. I think Trae is a good compromise for everyone really.
Anyone seen this yet? Apparently Schlenk wanted Jaren Jackson above all.

Right now I like Cam Reddish, Keldon Johnson (Mostly because of Kentucky bias), Bol Bol and I'm starting to feel like maybe Zion will be worth a shot if he can actually shoot at a nice clip next year.
In the same way I felt that Mark was only out of GS when they realized he couldn’t get them over the jump. I don’t think we would move on from Pierce until we have a team that he isn’t gettin the most out of with his coaching.
I think one of the main things I’m excited about with Trae’s future is the magnetism he has. He’s the type of player that other players want to play with. If he really fulfills his potential he may be the one to change the culture of bringing free agents to Atlanta.
He's really good, I think I prefer Cam Reddish at this point. But I'm gonna let the season dictate what happens here.
Also Bol Bol could be interesting for us. He's a lot smoother offensively than a lot of centers as of recently. Also he is quite huge lol.
I hope so too lol, they are in the west though, if LeBron goes there and Kawhi is there next season it may not matter who they even pick up in free agency.
Now that I really think about it, the Trae trade is a risk worth taking. I still don't like the protection but I do agree with the idea that we just need to give ourselves as many chances at great players through the draft that we can. Getting an additional first round pick essentially does that. If we can hit on a few of these picks (not even all because I know the level of luck you need in the draft). We could actually build a solid core faster than just taking our chances with one high pick every year.
Yeah, I feel like when you're early rebuilding or a title contender are really the only times you can take chances on the big Boom or Bust prospects like MPJ.
Yeah, I guess our standards are just higher than they should be or something. Most are saying it's good for both teams and you can't declare a true winner or loser until you see how they pan out.
