  1. Marvin Williams has the talent, and work ethic to become an absolute star in this league. If the Hawks do not select him they will certainly regret it. Players like Marvin Williams do not come along often. He will be a special player when all is said and done. Now, I would also like to trade Harrington for a pick to get Sean May. That will be an excellent draft for the Hawks.
  2. I agree with your assessment of May. I believe you have to have a strong PF who takes up space under the basket. May has both hands for offense and gets excellent position. I hope the Hawks Draft Marvin Williams and find a way to trade Harrington for a pic to get May.
  3. BK just missed it on these deals period. BK is not the second coming of Jerry West that many on this forum make him out to be. I am not sold on BK yet. Show me something besides unloading salaries that he has done. We will see, but if this team is not competetive in the next three years he will be fired.
  4. Miles is nothing more than a non-talented thug punk. I would fire BK if he made that deal. I would not trade this pick unless it was a deal we couldn't refuse. I would like to have either D. Williams or Paul, but we have the worst team in the NBA and need help at every position, We have to take the best player.
  5. I like Chill a lot. If he is going to play the two guard he is going to have to work on his shot big-time. He is great going to the basket and plays pretty good D. We will see.
  6. Well I will say this as a business man. You can talk about all the rebuilding in the world and if the team continues to be the Montreal Expos of the NBA the ownership will not be happy. I've been a avid Hawks fan since 1978. Rebuilding is fine, although I'm not a Knight fan (he has done 0 in Memphis and Atlanta) but if there is not butts in the seats for the next two years there will be ownership problems and Knight and Woodson will get fired. A business cannot keep loosing big money and even with the paltry (by NBA standards) Hawks payroll this team is losing big money. Knight has put this team into a bad situation. Even though the Hawks have salary cap money there is no free agents that care about winning interested in Atlanta, as a matter of fact they are laughing at the franchise around the league. I really hope I am wrong on this one!
  7. I doubt seriously that Knight will trade the pick. IMO Marvin Williams will be the selection.
  8. Well Delambert is a restricted FA and in my opinion soft. He can't even get it done in Philly, what makes you think he would play any better in Atlanta Swift is a PF and I would like to have him on the team, but as a PF. He is maybe 6-9 which is not NBA center material Brown - Washington WILL NOT give up on him this soon. Bogut has to be the pick IMO.
  9. Happy 68th, I hope I still have the fever at 68.
  10. The Stinkin Knickerbockers and the no count Fakers from Follywood!
  11. Walker and Delk are a huge updgrade over JT and no-show. Walker may be dealt by the Hawks to another team, who knows. His contract is expiring after the season and what if he becomes a player. Delk is a 6th man type player that can light it up form the perimeter. Good deal for the Hawks
  12. he's a thug period! I'm outta here if he came to the Hawks
  13. If we sign Damp I don't believe it will be along term contract. On the other hand if he happens to wind up in Atlanta maybe Woodson can light a fire under his butt. Old habits are hard to break though. Antoine Walker can take over a game when he wants to. Very talented player that needs to be with the right coach. Woodson is going to be a good coach, so let's see what happens. The Knicks - this team is in the worst situnation in the league period, they are a joke. Look at the long term contracts they have, no one wants their old overpaid players and it is Isiah's fault. At the trade deadline he brought in Marbury who is a playground type very talented player but he has never won wherever he's played and that says a lot. I just laughed my tail off when Isiah came in and made that trade. They will be a .500 team for a while uinless of course the league finds a way to help them out again (i.e. Ewing). My .02
  14. Great job Jay. Again Chad Ford's reporting is suspect at best. So take what he says with a grain of salt. Once the Hawks are competitive he will jump on the bandwagon of "This is how a organization should build a team." It is the easy way out to diss a team or player whenever you fail to take the time to do proper research.
  15. I understand why Chris Mullin would reneg on the trade with the Knicks. There is nothing on the roster I would want that carry contracts. Mr. Thomas screwed the Knicks when he did the Marbury deal, a quick fix that blew up in his face. Unless the league helps out (remember Ewing) a media giant team, the Knicks are doomed in the future. Why would anybody trade with them?????
  16. This story you are refering to is over a week old. At this point he is probably trying to see what Phoenix will do if they do not get Q.
  17. Sura is 5 times the player Barry is. We had Barry here before. I'm not against bringing him back but don't ever compare him to Sura!
  18. I believe that Diaw is a better fit for us. Now this is my opinion and if he is strictly a shooter I'm not sure that is Mike's kind of guy. You will have to playn defense to play for Mike period.
  19. It looks like to me that there will be no action until after the 7/30 Quentin Richardson ordeal with Phoenix. I don't know what will happen to Damp I just believe BK will not let him hold us at gunpoint on a contract.
  20. I am in agreement with KB and CBA. Liberals can say and do what they want but if someone has their own opinions they attack to the hilt. The moral values of this country are going in the toilet. Outlaw Bibles and prayer so you can do what feels good, the heck with the children you are parading in front of, after all you should be able to do what you want, when and where you want right? We could go on and on about this. There are two cultures in our society...........those who want to do right and those who could care less Just my .02
  21. I think it is a good staff. I wish clifford ray had hung around but the lights of Hollywood are brighter than Atlanta.
  22. what a shock. Anybody with a neron firing would have known that was going to happen. I'm happy for Shaq. BTW: I hate the Flakers!

  24. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how he plays in Denver and what his numbers are. I'd rather have Harrington/Swift for the money. He is not worth the max period!
  25. I really believe K-Marts skills reap off of Jason Kidd. Yes, he's a pretty good PF but he is not work the max. I hope the Devner deal goes through because while I would like to have him in Atlanta that is just too much money to give up. Denver has Nene who is really developing and he is no K-Mart but they have a good young player already why do this? I hope BK is going to be able to sign Bob Sura, he is the glue that held this team together after the trades.
