There should be. I have seen only one or two games where he had off they ball plays drew up for him. Those were the games where they trapped him early and often. Outside of that if gives the ball up, he is stand back outside of the play. The coach needs to install more plays with Trae moving off if the ball.

But that’s what irritates me so much, they miss wide open threes way too much. It is all mental with this team. Their mindset isn’t right. When Pierce took the hit last year and everyone was playing for a contract, their mentality changed and they were dialed in because they didn’t want to be next. Now that are comfortable with fat pockets looking for help on defense and staring at their follow through hand in the air on offense. Sorry that was my last grip for tonight.

If memory serves me right, Hunt was the lead offensive coach. We always had a good offense even when we were losing. Nate admitted himself that he didn't have an opportunity to change the system when he took over which meant he was using Hunts system. He brings his system in and now we suck or he is still trying to run major parts of the old system but doesn't have the offensive coordinator there to make it click. Feels like when Shanahan left the Falcons. I am not saying Hunt is a world beater but he definitely deserved a promotion or a lead job somewhere if everybody else got paid.

This is the type shit you get when you fire an assistant coach that helped you get to the ECF and bring your son and a guy off the street to replace him. What happened to Melvin Hunt anyway?

Disappear. That was debunked when he led his team to the ECF. He is playing even better this year. The issue with this team its lack of urgency, defensive principles and set plays when Trae is not the main option.

Why does no wing even attempt to rebound a missed three pointer. They just sit there and watch it and fade slowly back on defense. The sad thing is they still don’t even get set in defense. Smdh.

This is unacceptable. He needs to bench the entire starting unit. This feels like one of those games where Trae is like ok you think I do too much, let me lay back and run the offense and see how that works out. It is the same thing over and over they are just walking around out there with no urgency on offense or defense. Nate is just watching.

Eeshh. I don’t know about trading for him. I think he would be a good basketball wise but if he is having mental health issues, will he be able to perform his job? It would be nice if the 6ers believed that, they would bring him back to play with them first to showcase he is ready to go. Don’t need another Ridley situation.

It was also playoff basketball where offenses grind into a half court game in which he can be more successful on defense on the perimeter. We just slightly disagree on his defensive effectiveness. My point is he is not the problem defensively despite his reputation. All you other points I tend to agree.

Dominique would have a ball clowning him every night. He always comments on how slow he is out there.

I actually disagree with this. As much as my mind tells me Gallo isn’t good defensively in the post, the really is his old style of defense always frustrates the player he is guarding and he rebounds well. It was an underrated part of our success last year. We got surprisingly good defense from him and Bogi and Kevin for that matter. His defense is about where it was last year but the others have fallen off a bit.

The only way I see him fitting in is with OO17 starting along side him. I think that has the potential to be a better combo than CC and JBap. That is really risky though to try and bank on that.

Also, I think this team came into the season as if they had arrived and others would respect them off of what they did last year. The new coaches probably were not pushing too hard early on because they just wanted fit in and not mess anything up. But other teams were licking their chops to get a piece of us and came ready to play offensively and defensively against us the whole game. We just look shocked out there at how every team’s third and forth guy is locked in and making shots and disrupting our offensive flow. It is like the Hawks are thinking “why are they trying so hard. Don’t they know who we are”.
