  1. Lol been MIA for a min handling some business. I'll get back to you @Spud2Nique about what I come up with before the weekend is up
  2. Well I finished the season in first but lost in the first round of the playoffs. I don't know which one of yall beat me but damn you lol. Guess no repeat for me
  3. Our interior lineman may be the worst I've ever seen. Ryan has no time to make another read beyond Julio. Whenever his head snaps to look in another direction the man is popped. This offense sucks...the line sucks but the defense isn't the issue.
  4. Blame Shanny...like I said it's about yac and roddy has never been a yac guy. He has him so far down the progression line that it's hard for Matt to find him. Nick Williams got targeted more for his believed ability to run after the catch. He needs to adjust to his players instead of trying to make them adjust to him
  5. Well that's really what the west coast offense is, it's completely built around yac. It is about timing and like I said before involves a lot more option routes than most offenses. The inaccuracy I think is just a result of Ryan being uncomfortable. He doesn't have this offense down yet and it shows. We came out strong but we haven't been able to expand the playbook yet bc it's just not as simple as we think....and now defenses have caught on to what we were doing early in and have been able to stop us and we haven't been able to adjust yet. I expect a different look after the bye but they definitely should have been going no huddle more often over the last couple of games bc that at least gives a different look when you can't create one out of your play calling. Shanny was being stubborn but hopefully after that meeting he does what's best
  6. ok, I tried to say this in my earlier post but maybe some people ignored it. Matt is playing in a completely different system than he has ever ran in his career....college or pro. The west coast offense is not an easy thing to master. Steve young said himself that it's about a 2 year process to really nail the thing down. Matt is actually doing fairly well given the circumstances. This was never supposed to be a one year turn around so temper your expectations a bit. Should still go 11-5 or 10-6 and make the playoffs and we'll see what happens from there. I agree with the players that we need to speed things up a bit more tho. At the end of every half we move the ball with ease out of the no huddle...use it more
  7. That was not a zone read...if was a play action fake out of the shotgun. They ran the exact same play later in the game and it was just a quick throw to tamme up the seam but it just didn't work right the first time
  8. Apparently the offense is riddled with option routes and isn't the easiest thing to master. Matt isn't playing horrible given the transition into a completely different scheme. The fumbles have to stop and I believe they will...once that happens this team will be very dangerous
  9. Moved to Atlanta in 97 from Tennessee. At that point there were no teams in Tennessee to root for so I already kinda followed the Falcons and Hawks....was already a big Braves fan. The moment I found out we were moving to GA it was a done deal. At that point I couldn't care less how good or bad either team was I was just soooooooo excited to have my own team. Lucky for me both teams were pretty decent at that point. What really put it over the top for me was my first week at school Christian laettner, mookie, and Allan Henderson came to my school with Harry the hawk. I was losing my mind. One of my best memories as a kid. That and meeting the Falcons at the airport when they came back from beating the Vikings to go to the super bowl. I've been hooked ever since.
  10. Well that's one way to hold Julio down....let us run all over you and make us not need him. Good strategy Houston lol. But great game for the Falcons as a whole...defense offense special teams everything was just clicking today
  11. Vic also got that on mr Tyron Smith...a consensus top 3 tackle. And he was being held in the process
  12. @AHF I feel you but honestly it's not to far off.
  13. The second half was a thing of beauty. This team normally came out flat and were known for LOSING leads in the second half.....not now. I'm loving this team. Oh yeah...BEAST!!!!!!
  14. I was real low on dimarco coming into the year but when he blew up Jenkins in the philly game like @JayBirdHawk said I was sold. @benhillboy Vic did that a lot game one but he was on point game 2. Peters in philly will do that to a lot of people tho. He was in Eli's face all day and got held damn near the whole second half. I'm very pleased with what I've seen from him. Scho is the man and like you said babs has always been that dude. When brooks reed gets back and we can keep scho fresh for late in the game and Vic gets better as the year goes on we will be scary
  15. 4 man rush getting pressure. We haven't had that since the days of Coleman and Kerney.
  16. Didn't think Dallas was going to beat us anyway but I guess so
  17. I'm down for that as well @Spud2Nique. I'll let you come up with the terms on that one
  18. Oh no way he's getting away with that one @JayBirdHawk lol
  19. I'm just going by what Julio said earlier. If the Hamstring thing is true he never mentioned it and we know how honest these teams are about injury reports these days lol. Oh he's definitely losing lol
  20. False report. He sat out bc he was getting taped up in the training room bc of excessive scratches and cuts from the turf Monday night
  21. I think I hear some excuses in there lol but its good man. I'll take the bet easy on you and yes it's overall numbers
  22. You obviously read nothing that I wrote bc to say that comparing the 2 would be like comparing Larry Johnson to Karl Malone....did you see those numbers? That comment is just crazy after looking at actual production and not paying attention to media hype. If you don't want to look at those numbers let me throw out some more...since we are talking about who's better right now let's look at the most recent numbers. Last 20 games. Julio has 147 catches for 2173 yards and 10 tds Calvin has a measly (jk) 104 for 1704 and 11 tds. So what does Calvin do better than him now? Ohhhhh and also over their career Julio has a catch % of 63 compared to calvins 55. I guess I'm just in love with Julio and these numbers mean nothing
