  1. like A. fouling someone and giving up a crazy 3 point play B. fouling someone while they are shooting a 3 C. not being able to secure the rebound after they intentionally miss the 2nd freethrow and fumbling the ball out of bounds. D. giving up a put back after they intentionally miss the 2nd freethrow
  2. honestly im glad they didnt foul. I didnt trust the team to not screw up. The previous possession horford hit only 1 of the 2 freethrows and the possession before that we turned the ball over trying to waste clock like dummies.
  3. I dont see people giving curry a pass for his poor shooting, since he was given the MVP trophy he has faced alot of criticism for his poor play in those 2 losses against the grizzlies.
  4. I dont see anything wrong with questioning a guys effort when it looks like hes sleep walking out there and his back up is out hustling him and outplaying him. Whatever slump he was in the 1st couple of games he broke it in game 4, lets hope he keeps it up.
  5. im a hater because I said there was no excuse for him giving no effort?
  6. there is also a point in memphis who is playing with a broken face and a foot injury but i still see him taking charges, diving on the floor for loose balls, and playing lock down D on the league MVP.
  7. the hawks havent shown me anything during these playoffs to give me confidence that they will.
  8. millsap may get 17 mil per on the market because some teams are desperate to get some talent to improve their team, but I dont feel like hes worth 17 mil to the hawks. Hes an undersized PF who turned 30 a few months ago. If we are paying 17 mil per for a PF, I want a bigger PF who is a better post presence and go to option offensively, (I feel millsap is a 3rd option type player) or atleast a dominate defender/rebounder. The market is over saturated with PFs.
  9. on another forum someone theorized that he simply had to use the bathroom (number 2) and was too embarrassed to admit it. there maybe some truth to that
  10. maybe its safe to say we simply overachieved? i know people dont want to admit this but our level of play is undeniable evidence
  11. this sucks, I dont care if this benefits the hawks chances of advancing, I wanted to beat a full strength wizards team and see how good we really are. Now even if we beat them, we wont get the respect of the other teams that have made the conference finals.
  12. Demarre has earned himself a huge contract this playoffs, I want him back but im alittle worried about the crazy offers he will get. I am extremely upset with teague. We were battling to avoid going down 0-2 and it looked like he completely packed it in. It wasnt just his timidness on offense, he gave ZERO effort on defense and was getting cooked by ramon sessions.
  13. starting game 1 at 1pm on sunday after winning game 6 on friday night is alittle rough. I hope the wizards are super rusty after being off for about a week.
  14. proud of this team for a dominating performance, best win in a while. Now bring on the wizards.
  15. I disagree, analytically horford is flat out awful in rim protection. http://nyloncalculus.com/stats/rim-protection/ in terms of estimated rim protection value hes ranked 46th out of all players in the league and is ranked 22th among all starting centers in points saved per 36 mins.
  16. you are right I apologize, this was a very emotional reaction thread. We should all be focusing on game 5 and what changes we can make for this series.
  17. sorry lol but im slowly creeping into panic mode. I hope this is a jinx thread and they can magically turn it around.
  18. its not just for low post defeense, its for overall team defense. in my OP i stated that we overhelp/overcollapse on defese, which is a terribly flawed defensive scheme because we give up a league high in 3 point attempts. I believe this scheme is by design because we lack any kind of rim protection when someone gets beat, and we have to overhelp and collapse in order to stop the opponent from getting easy points in the paint. We need a rim protector so we can stay home on shooters more and not worry about giving up points in the paint.
  19. thats why I emphasized that we need to get dynamic scoring wing player WITH a center so our offense doesnt fall off much while our defense improves significantly.
  20. I pray our new ownership/GM (if ferry doesnt return), is like the warriors, and we do these things are willing to spend money, aggressively try to address our main weaknesses/flaws instead of trying to patch it up with vet minimums like (etan thomas, dampier) overpay to keep our own players, If they dont all the momentum that was built up for this franchise for the past season will be gone in a flash and we are looking at the Josh/Joe Era Part 2.
  21. I agree, we dont even need a kevin durant or a LBJ, even a jimmy butler or a kawhi leonard would help this team tremendously! we also desperately need size too. We have no big that stands a chance to provide any resistance to Lopez. We cant keep rolling out centers that are barely 6,9. I refuse to believe that AL horford and Pero are legit 6,10. 7 footers TOWER over them. When you look at other contenders they have Bogut GSW, Timmy D SAS, Mozgofy or W.e his name CLE, Bulls have Noah and Gasol Honestly if we lose this series, atleast it gives the new ownership/GM absolutely NO excuse to keep this roster together. I dont want to go through another Josh Smith/Joe Johnson era hawks where we continue to fail to address our main flaws, overpay to keep our own players, we are capped out and we keep getting bounced early in the playoffs
  22. it is not because they are veteran savvy, they literally tried to give the game back to us in the closing mins and we couldnt take advantage. there are true fundamental flaws with this roster and team.
  23. https://vine.co/v/eWPIm7q10XM Dunno how to embed a vine, but this is the blitz/trapping style of defense that we do and it lead to a wide open 3!
  24. The problem is that butler is getting the max without question from the bulls, so there is virtually no chance we can get him since hes a restricted free agent. Young dynamic wing players GET PAID, look at how parson and hayward got maxed. This was why I screaming to draft a young wing player in the draft that we could of developed, and have locked in for awhile. Instead we took payne who plays a role/position that was VERY redundant. I agree that korver and DMC are more suited to be bench players. Watching how a guy like Rodney hood played this season just makes me even more upset. Also I dont see how we have a chance at Gasol considering the competition are teams like the Lakers, Knicks, and Spurs. I pray that waltars is able to develop into a rudy gobert type center, he is really our only chance in having a long term rim protector. its unfortunate that our biggest needs are also the most expensive and hardest to get.
