  1. do yall understand that LA isnt young himself and turns 30 next month?
  2. Wow I really like the jerseys, very unique just not sure if I like them for a professional sports organization though. Seems like these jerseys are definitely aimed at the younger crowd with their design and colors.
  3. thank god, these navy, red, and white jerseys are some of the most boring, driest, and uninspiring uniforms ever. I hated this era of uniforms because it screamed mediocrity and dullness. I liked the ATL alternate uniforms though. If these changes are "huge" I am hoping we dont do any crazy gaudy hipster looking uniforms.
  4. its more than just his jumpshot. His awareness and overall basketball IQ is too low to be a major minute player. He makes too many mental mistakes. He shouldnt be more than a 10-15 min type player
  5. disagree with this completely http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/fancy-stats/wp/2015/04/28/kevin-loves-absence-could-be-devastating-for-the-cavaliers/
  6. it wasnt because of guys trying harder or guys were getting tired that caused a dramatic change in the series. There were strategic changes. Kerr took offensive inept guys like Bogut/Fetus out of the rotation and went with a small ball starting of Curry/Klay/Iggy/Barnes/Green and gave david lee mins. He decided to try to outscore the cavs since they were already getting out rebounded with their bigger line ups.
  7. but once the warriors adjusted they were absolutely shredding the cavs defense. So there defense didnt matter. Offensive rating for the warriors in Game 4 116/ Game 5 115.9 http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/238197/Advanced-Stats-Of-The-NBA-Finals-After-Games-1-5
  8. team ball doesnt work when you have stat lines like this.
  9. yea being a significantly more talented team had nothing to do with it.
  10. hey! why go to the real thing when you can go to an imitation that is less talented and less proven!
  11. Dont forget that monta is a small guard with a shaky jumpshot that relies on speed and athleticism and turns 30 b4 the season starts so who ever signs him to a long term contract will probably only get 1 or 2 good years b4 he starts to go on a sharp decline.
  12. nah we need more of a two way player at SG.

    Bye Carroll!

im not liking DMC's talk about big money and being a potential all star. Im feeling like hes getting alittle big headed after that great playoff run he had. I completely understand the business aspect about marketing yourself but to already talk about money in his exit interview, hours after your season ended really irks me and shows me where his priorities are.
  14. considering how we got destroyed in a 4 game series, that doesnt really surprise me that it would have less ratings than a competitive NBA finals featuring 2 MVPs.
  15. After the cleveland series it was a given that we needed wing players who are more talented offensively regardless if AL is moved to the PF or not.
  16. greg monroe is becoming the new al jefferson on this board.
  17. Hopefully its someone under the warriors/spurs regime that gets along with Bud. This can get really bad if we choose one of those old school GMs with a huge ego that doesnt embrace analytics and the new age NBA.
  18. thaddeus young isnt a SF hes a small ball PF. this has been discussed to death. I seriously dont understand hawksquawk's obsession with wanting him to play SF for us.
  19. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3w96p3T4Uk I dunno, he still looks like a hot/cold player with no IQ, who plays lazy, and has terrible shot selection. He just has a diminished role and an improved 3pt%. I literally see no difference in his game.
  20. Why cant we build great chemistry with some new pieces? Horford and J-brick had great chemistry with the 4/5 pick and roll and were extremely close off the court. Their moms were best friends and use to do karaoke together. Then we let Jbrick go and millsap came in and they had no problems building chemstry. I understand the chemistry, family/friend aspect, but the NBA is a business and these are grown ass men who have a job to do. As a GM your main job is to build the best team possible and you have to make some gambles. So if you feel like making a certain move will make your team better, you do it and you don't let personal relationships stop you from making the move. This didnt stop the spurs from moving George Hill and taking a gamble on Kawhi Leonard. There was no certainty that kawhi leonard was a clear upgrade over George Hill and he had a great relationship with the Pop and the players. Pop said that George Hill was his favorite player and Ginobilli said that the trade made him angry because of his relationship with him.
  21. unless we are bringing prime bill russell, no amount of defense and rebounding can offset the offensive deficiencies of this team. Looking at our offensive numbers its clear that this team has problems on both sides of the ball.
  22. honestly I would be shocked if we made the ECF again if we kept this same team. We were lucky to have the easiest 1st round and 2nd round match ups while having home court advantage and we still struggled to beat those teams. Once we faced our 1st elite team we got absolutely annihilated and looked like we didnt even belong there.
  23. We definitely need a scorer. we have struggled to hold on to leads all year and this problem was magnified in the playoffs. We dont have a guy that can be relied upon on to create a high percentage shot or go to the freethrow line when the defense tightens up, jumpers arent falling, and the other team goes on a run. Teague can do it in spurts but just isnt that kind of guy that can do it night in night out. I dont know how many times I have watched the other team go on a run, because we are ICE COLD from the perimeter and continued to bang our head against the way by jacking up outside shots hoping some will eventually fall. That is not a recipe for playoff success. We shot 39% from the field and 22% from 3 in the 4th quarter during the playoffs while having a -0.5 plus/minus as a team.
