  1. With Favors there it makes no sense. They would be better off with DMC honestly. By the way I wonder whether they would entertain a Favors-Millsap double sign and trade. Bring Favors back to ATL!
  2. Last year Monta shot .285 from 3pt range (.314 career) and grabbed 2.4 (!) rebounds. I love Monta Ellis but he is best suited for a dynamic 6th man role, which I doubt he would take.
  3. Cavs are no joke. Maybe I was too harsh for our team for getting swept :-)
  4. I see. That is the challenge, we don't have that many contracts to send.
  5. Gallo looks like he hasn't really recovered from ACL injury, I wouldn't want him at all. Batum would be a pretty good fit though.
  6. Can someone help me with the rules of sign&trade? Can we sign Gasol with our cap space first and then try to sign let's say Tobias Harris with S&T? I wouldn't mind trading away #15 for that trade. Gasol-Horford-Harris-Korver-Teague
  7. Love me some Millsap but if Gasol gave us the green light, it would be crazy not to chase him.
  8. He has player option this summer. I was wondering whether he would opt out. I have mixed feelings too. He is very talented but can get moody.
  9. Unfortunately he is not falling to us, he will likely go top 10.
  10. I wonder whether Monta Ellis will be a FA this summer. He is high maintenance but he can surely score/
  11. It is not that simple. Your own players have cap holds. As far as I know Millsap and Carroll have a total of ~16 M of cap hold. Consider the 1st rd draft pick too and we will probably have somewhere between 7-10 M of cap space. It is not even enough for one elite FA not to mention two FAs. Hawksfanatic will probably write something soon but until then here is a long but good read: http://www.basketballinsiders.com/can-the-atlanta-hawks-keep-their-team-together-this-offseason/
  12. Maybe his aim is not trying to injure others but he is fully aware that his actions can possibly hurt others. It is like driving at over 100 mph. Your intent may not be evil but you know what the consequences are.
  13. I don't think many Hawks fans would be angry at an ECF loss but the way we lost was really discouraging. - We were literally bullied by the stronger team. It felt like Thompon and Mozgov could get any rebound any time they wanted. This series really made me question whether we should continue with the Horford-Millsap front court. - I cannot believe that our guys didn't retaliate to Delly. Remember what Cavs did to Boston after Kevin Love's injury? Or what Miami did to Indiana after hard fouls on Lebron and Wade? - Our bench was not ready for the ECF except Bazemore. Scott, Pero, Dennis and Mack were all big disappointments. - We didn't lose because of the refs but the double standard applied Horford's and Howard's flagrant fouls is a clear indication of what a joke NBA is. Nevertheless, it was a season for ages. Thanks to all for making Atlanta basketball relevant again.
  14. He is probably registering to Golden State Warriors forum as we speak.

    CALLING THE HITMAN

Remember how Cavaliers reacted when Kevin Love was injured?
  16. I was surprised to see Lebron getting in the face of Millsap, Carroll and Bazemore. Normally he is intimidated reluctant to do those things, instead he asks his hitmen (Haslem, Perkins) to do those.
  17. Only 19 assists in the game, too many forced 3pt shots (4-23) and too many isolation plays. This is not our style of play. By the way we are trying to defend Lebron 1 on 1, which is not going to happen. Whenever he beats his man, he needs to see another body.
  18. He will easily (and deservedly) get a Nicolas Batum type of contract, 4 years 45 million. I think resigning him will be our priority in the offseason.
  19. I wonder whether Bud should try more zone defense. Lebron is a smart player, when DMC was on him in the first half he posted up. When Millsap was on him they stretched the floor and he beat Millsap off the dribble.
  20. First time I watched a game at Philips Arena as a foreigner, I was shocked to see away team fans among Hawks fans. It took me a few years to get used to it but honestly now I enjoy watching games in a civilized atmosphere more as opposed to what you experience in other countries.
  21. Who cares? Hawks didn't reach where they are because talking heads believed so.
  22. Hawks win in 6 games like the previous two series. GO HAWKS!
  23. I predict that I won't be going to any games in this series. Tickets start from 170$ and I need to buy 3.
