  1. Should Ressler be more worried about the lack of effort from Trae himself. This organization needs to bring him someone external to do a complete review of the whole basketball operations.
  2. The thing is, the spurs version of DJM is exactly what this team needed. A tall guard who was a great defender and could put up 20 points per night. His attention to detail on defense could help mask some of Trae’s deficiencies. However since coming to Atlanta, Murray’s defence has gone to shit. He seems more preoccupied for just padding his offensive stats. For that reason Murray needs to go.
  3. Bud and Doc Rivers are available as head coach. It’s actually good proactive front office leadership to admit to making a mistake with Snyder and rectifying that mistake quickly.
  4. First trade is Murray back to the spurs to get our picks back.
  5. Agree. Trae is a great player and has made a lot of marketing money for the owners but he is no leader. We need a clean slate. New leadership. That won’t happen if Trae is around.
  6. This is a coach killer performance. If Nate was still coaching, we would be demanding he be fired asap. I am seeing this team going backwards completely with Quin Synder. Whatever playbook or systems he is trying to implement, he needs to rip it up and start again.
  7. A lot of this is all on Quin Synder. If he isn’t man enough to bench Trae when he absolutely deserves to be benched, then this team will go nowhere with him at coach. Quite clearly we are playing as individuals and not as a team.
  8. Not an excuse the effort is not there. If Trae is mailing it in like he did tonight, Quin needs to take him out
  9. Trae is getting embarrassed by McConnell
  10. Take Trae out of the game please. He’s a liability
  11. This would be a great outcome for Atlanta. All their picks back and 26 swap back plus a Vassell homecoming for Murray. Send them Mills back too for Graham/Cedi
  12. Exactly. Even if it was true that they can’t afford him next season, they would wait til off-season to make the necessary trades. Only moron GMs like what the Hawks in 1994, would trade a star player from a 1st place team in-season.
  13. Would of it really matter if Trae does his own thing. Yep, I’m done with Young and his bullshit logo threes. Dumb decision making and I’m convinced that even if we do trade Murray, Trae is still going to keep on doing this dumb shit. He should be the one that is put on the block. Take Austin Reaves and 3 FRPs from the Lakers and move on. A major shakeup is needed.
  14. So many flawed players on this team. The roster construction has been terrible. Schlenk should have gone much sooner. And Fields seems too inexperienced / gun shy to make a move to shake up the team. It is a current malaise that I don’t see much improvement coming. My thoughts on the roster and who we should keep or trade is as follows. Young - He doesn’t know his limitations . Tries way too many unnecessary logo threes. Clearly doesn’t like to be challenged as seen with coach Nate and Lloyd Pierce. For someone with such great court awareness, his playmaking can be outstanding but far too often his decision making is bad and it results in far too many forced shots and ugly turnovers. I feel that despite all the assists, he still doesn’t make his teammates better. Who has really improved since Trae has run the team? Jalen Johnson might be the only one but that is more due to playing time rather than Trae’s influence. Out of the young players that has played with Trae, John Collins went backwards. Okongwu is treading water or heading in the same backwards direction. Hunter is the same. I feel this team current problems will continue while Trae remains on the team. Maybe that is far too harsh on Trae as he is a young player that is outstanding offensively. But as the Cavs are finding out with Donovan Mitchell, sometimes that talented player is still not the best for the team going forward. Sooner or later Trae is probably going to ask for a trade and I’m ready for this team to have a new leader. TRADE Murray - Good player but clearly not a star. I feel his all round game has regressed since been paired with Trae. He used to be an above average rebounder and defender for a guard. Not anymore. I think Murray spurs player is better than Murray hawks player. However I would like to see him run this team without Trae on the team. It won’t happen though. Murray will get traded first before Trae. But my preference would be to KEEP. Bogdanovic - The team’s 3rd best player after Trae and Dejounte. Great season coming off the bench, I feel his value is not going to get any higher and Hawks really need to take advantage of this and trade him. At age 31 he doesn’t fit the teams timeline. TRADE Hunter - Way too inconsistent with both his play on the court and injuries. He needs to go asap or we will find another John Collins situation with Hunter whereby he is shopped around with no offers and he ends up being a cap dump trade.TRADE Bey - I don’t mind him. He is like a more consistent Hunter that has better compete level. However I would be extremely nervous about paying him because I feel he has reached his ceiling as a player despite being only 24 years old. I’m not sure what the right contract number is for him. KEEP at the right price. Capela - Another solid player. Probably the only one on the current roster that can actually play center. We know what we will get from Capela each night. 10 points , 10 rebounds and good D. Those role players can be valuable to have. KEEP Okongwu - Major disappointment. Doesn’t want to compete hard. Gets abused too much by bigger guys. I don’t think he is a center and should be trialled at power forward or traded for a big man with better work ethic. Losing patience fast with him. He was told to work on his outside shot which to be fair he has, but his inside game has gone soft as a result. And I absolutely hate that for a big man. Not seeing the development and feel he has got complacent with his spot on the team so much so I’ll look around the league and see what we can get back for him. TRADE Mathews / Matthews - Not their fault, but both play far too many minutes. They are a 11th or 12th man that is asked to play as a 7th or 8th man that is in the regular rotation. I don’t think Garrison has the talent to be in the regular rotation and Wes is simply just washed at his stage of his career. This is more a Quin Snyder problem. TRADE/WAIVE Griffin - I know AJ Griffin is currently out with personal reasons but when available he should be playing ahead of Mathews / Matthews. I don’t know why since Snyder became head coach that Griffin went straight to DNP-CD doghouse after looking so promising under Nate. Hope he sorts out his personal situation soon. KEEP Bufkin - I am actually quite happy that he is away from this bad team and can develop his game at College Park. Hopefully with patience he can show he can be a player in a couple of seasons time like Jalen Johnson has done. KEEP Mills - This guy has a won the title with Spurs, competes hard and can be a clutch shooter off the bench. If the plan was always to prioritize the youth movement by playing the likes of Forrest and Lundy ahead of Mills then why keep Mills on the team. To me I don’t understand why Wes Matthews gets minutes but not Mills. TRADE Fernando - 3rd string center. He is never going to be more than that but every team needs one. KEEP Gueye / Forrest / Lundy - Happy with their play in preseason / summer league and have future with the team. KEEP
  15. This guy is a massive disappointment. He plays so timid in the paint and hasn’t developed much since his rookie year. He can’t defend centers. Fields needs to trade him, probably as soon as this season.
  16. The only way this team can rebuild properly is to trade Trae now. Recoup a ton of picks and go back to the draft. Would OKC trade all the Houston picks for Trae? Atlanta could also get back Giddey and Dort in the same deal. Trading Hunter is not going to bring back anyone noteworthy. His inconsistency both with his play and injuries is hurting his value so much so it could lead to another John Collins situation where there is no market for him and he becomes another cap dump. Trading Murray now almost guarantees the team will be taking a loss on the original trade with SA. Is Ressler willing to lose face?
  17. Team needs to trade him. He won’t ever be an NBA calibre center. He really should of surpassed Capela by now but he just isn’t good enough.
  18. One of the first things Quin did when he took over was shorten the bench. He was his choice to play 8 players only. I blame this more on coaching not on player personnel. Quin has his favorites and is very stubborn to change it up.
  19. I think Trae should be on the block. He can't defend and the DJ-Trae pairing is too small. We keep on gettimg torched defensively.
  20. Can't rate drafting Trae as an A when they could of got Doncic. Best grade is a C given Reddish washed out and Doncic is a far superior player than Trae.
  21. He has had enough time to implement his system and the team is horribly underachieving. Atlanta have the talent to be a 4-5 seed in East and the team is trending to not even make the play-in. I'm not convinced he is the right coach for a rebuild given how horribly he has mismanaged AJ Griffin from day 1. The only good thing he has done is Jalen Johnson has taken off this season. But maybe that would of happen anyway regardless who was coach given the departure of John Collins. One thing I actually hate is the short bench he runs. He is too stubborn to change it up personnel wise. I dont understand how an NBA champion like Patty Mills that brings leadership and energy has only played twice this season. Maybe the roster is not quite right. Hunter is wildly inconsistent. I feel Oneyka hasnt improved much since he entered the league. I thought he had better upside than what he is showing and would be replacing Capela in the starting lineup. I just dont see Snyder unlocking the talent on the team.
  22. Can you lose a coaches challenge because the player walked?
  23. Sorry but that is a cop out. Trae should not get a pass because he hasn’t improved since his rookie season.
  24. I think that is obvious. I also rather have Giddey than Trae. Proper team player.
