  1. So what is the final ins and outs just for Atlanta? In: Capela, Nene Out: BKLN 1st Round, GS 2nd Round, Turner Is that it? Too many players involved its hard to get an idea of what Atlanta gave up.
  2. So we are dead last and the new laughing stock of the league after recently been blown out by the knicks. Travis Schlenk is a fraud. I have no faith that he can turn this franchise around. I still can't believe he fired Budenholzer.
  3. I don’t understand why we are buying out Ilyasova and Belinelli. Why couldn’t we trade them and get something useful in return. Even a 2nd round pick would be useful.
  4. SF: Prince (Bazemore) PF: Collins (Ilyasova, Muscala) C: Dedmon (Plumlee, Stone) PG: Schröder (Delaney, Magette) SG: Bembry (Belinelli, Dorsey)
  5. Tavares played 12 games in 2 years. He barely dressed in his Atlanta uniform during his tenure. He wasn't intimidating anyone. Time to move on.
  6. Any offer from a Warriors point of view starts with Dwight Howard (when he becomes eligible to trade) imo. They are badly missing a defensive anchor after the departure of Bogut. Howard for Thompson + Zaza.
  7. The bench '2nd unit 5' are all veterans - Sefolsha, Humphries, Splitter, Jack, Hardaway Jr (young veteran - haha). Which means our 3rd string lineup won't get much playing time. Anyone a little concerned that this will stall the progress of our young players? Tavares barely played last season. Surely it isn't good if has another season to last whereby he doesn't get minutes. Likewise our first round pick in Prince. It is going to be a waste of a pick if he doesn't get in the rotation if we go to Sefolsha to mainly backup Bazemore.
  8. Atlanta should of got Exum from Utah. As for the pick, surely Teague is worth a top 10. If Jrue Holiday can get pick 6, i would of thought that would be around Teague's value.
  9. Thabo has to start and match up against LeBron. Bazemore is too short, move him to 2 and bring Korver off the bench.
  10. How is Howard's D nowdays. If he is still a defensive beast, then he will be an asset for this team. Not to mention that we do have a major need for rebounding. Splitter was hugely disappointing prior to his injury. If we can upgrade to Howard and make it work from a salary cap point of view, we should go for it.
  11. I have been hugely disappointed in Splitter. I though he would of been once of the reasons we would further improve from last season. Now, I'm not even sure if he is actually an upgrade on Antić; The 2nd unit seem to play better with Antić coming off the bench than Splitter.
  12. I can't believe he is behind Patterson on the depth chart and has yet to play a game thus far. I don't pay attention to preseason but can anyone put some notes on how Hardaway played. Was he that bad that him starting the season on not active/DNP-CD list not surprising. I still have some faith. Once Bud gives him some minutes, I think he will eventually prove to be a scoring weapon off the bench.
  13. Its been out a couple of days on Yahoo! and I didn't see a post on this site. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nba-ball-dont-lie/the-nba-s-all-time-starting-five--atlanta-hawks-225111235.html They have Wilkins and Petit at forward; Mutombo at center and Hudson and Joe Johnson at guards. Thoughts? My lineup would go small ball. Dominique and Joe Johnson at forwards (I know I am kind of cheating here as Nique didn't play much at PF or Joe at SF.) Petit is my center. Lenny Wilkens and Lou Hudson as my guards. Pistol Pete unlucky. He only played four seasons but what a four seasons they were. Doc Rivers was close too as my PG. If I was to be more strict on position, I would have Al Horford's and Kevin Willis career ahead of Mutombo's hawks career. Horford would probably be my center, with Petit moving to forward and Joe Johnson wouldn't make it.
  14. Post ya mocks. This is mine if Millsap stays: Hardaway Jr / Sefolosha / Daye Millsap / Muscala / Scott Horford / Splitter / Tavares Teague / Schröder / Mack Korver / Bazemore / Jenkins or Patterson Or if we go big: Millsap / Sefolosha / Bazemore Horford / Scott / Daye Splitter / Muscala / Tavares Teague / Schröder / Mack Korver / Hardaway Jr / Jenkins or Patterson
  15. In: Gasol/Monroe, Tavares, 1st Round Pick, Out: Millsap, Brand, Jenkins I'll re-sign Carroll and let Millsap go to get some size at center and move Horford to PF. Gasol would be ideal. If not, Monroe is a decent 2nd option. I'm willing to sacrifice some points that Millsap would of given us for more height and rebounding. I am re-signing Antić too for the veteran minimum but would reduce his role to what Brand gave us. His minutes to be taken by Tavares. SF: Carroll, Sefolosha, Daye/Patterson PF: Horford, Muscala, Scott C: Gasol/Monroe, Tavares, Antić PG: Teague, Schröder, Mack SG: Korver, Bazemore, 1st Round Pick
  16. $12m per season is the most I would offer Millsap. Makes him equal highest paid with Horford and gives us some flexibility to re-sign Carroll too. Carroll is probably going to get at least $5-6m per season .
  17. SF: Carroll / Sefolosha / Patterson PF: Millsap / Scott / Payne C: Horford / Antić / Muscala PG: Teague / Mack / Schröder SG: Korver / Bazemore / Jenkins Happy with this team. Methinks Jenkins should probably spend the year in the D league given he has missed so much playing time. Im happy with the Scott re-signing, I think we lack some instant offense off the bench and Scott was one of the better points per minute players. I really hope Schröder gets more minutes this season.
  18. SF: DeMarre /Thabo /Lamar PF: Paul /Michael /Adriean C: Alfred /Pero /Michael PG: Jeffrey /Shelvin /Dennis SG: Kyle /Kent /Josh
  19. I would rather get Klay + Bogut for Horford rather than Klay + Lee. Bogut is a defensive beast and would give the hawks legit size and presence in the middle since Deke
  20. Deng shouldn't be paid more than Horford let alone Millsap. A Millsap like contract would be the best I would offer him.

Bebe has a better FG% but Edy is a better rebounder. I'm satisfied that Edy has more than enough upside to replace the departing Bebe. Good trade Ferry.
  22. Sign Deng, then our roster is complete: Deng / Carroll / Patterson Millsap / Scott / Payne Horford / Antić / Muscala Teague / Mack / Schröder Korver / Williams / Jenkins
  23. I believe his bird Iggy lives in ATL
