  1. IF teague is better there is still the question whether he's worth the addional 7millions a year. Especially if there were a chance to trade him for a big improvement on another position...
  2. I posted that already in another thread before I saw this one:
  3. You can't use boxscore only to compare players. You could do that a little on PER36 or PER48 numbers. But another big point in judging players is, whom are they playing with. As a starter you play with the best guys of your team most of the time. And there is a huge difference whether Horf and sap are drawing the attention of the defense instead of Antić and Ayón. They also will be more effective on converting one's dimes. So don't argue that much about the simple numbers. Another fact I want to point out is, that Mack is doing VERY well. I watched most SL and preseason games and I wanted Ivey to stay with the team. Not because I thought he was better than Mack, but because of the fact that I wanted Dennis to get as much playing time as possible. Mack was already doing well at SL and preseason in his limited minutes and that's why I knew he could steal Dennis' minutes... Teague is struggling a lot right now and so let's hope he earns an All Star spot (but I doubt that). That would be the only chance to boost his trade value for a valuable trade before trade deadline. In this scenario hawks would be able to develop two young PGs on very valuable contracts.
  4. Dirk let about $16.2 million on the table... (link) Duncan is 2 years older so he already took the cut Dirk will take next year. Before that he earned very similar to Dirk. 2007-08 $19,014,1882008-09 $20,598,7042009-10 $22,183,2202010-11 $18,700,0002011-12 $21,164,619 Duncan's salaries - Nowitzki's salaries Parker isn't comparable, career wise not the same level as The Big Fundamental and Dirk
  5. Lou plays backup PG instead of Dennis with Teague injured? what the F*CK?
  6. Yes it seems he is not playing freely. I blame bud for that. Instead of build up confidence and allow the rook to make faults he was set under pressure after that cousins thing, replaced by (a surprisingly good) mack, sent to d-league, banked after inbout to after 5 secs... Not easy to develop rooks on an competetive team...Let's hope he gets his confidence back - tonight!?
  7. Off-topic: Dirk has no max deal, he signed for less than possible, cause he wanted to get a championship team four years ago (we know he got that). And he already declared that he will take a cut in his next contract...
  8. I've got your point, but I doubt Nash will be able to play such minutes regularly again. By the way, Lin's contract is about $17.5m (for 1.5 years now) and Nash's about $14.5 (cap-wise more expensive)...
  9. Mentor... yes, that's possible. But an expensive one (for somebody probably won’t play again) ...
  10. LA wants to get rid of Nash cause he's injured and houston starts him?
  11. Yes he had this turns again, but he really had some ups, too. The only way to improve his play: Let him play! Otherwise:
  12. Best thing for him would be a trade to a coach, who is willing to develop him...I see that Dennis isn't started material right now, but he needs playing time. I doubt D-league is the best option. He needs to adjust his game to American style of play. If he adjusts his game to d-league he will need additional time to adjust it to NBA level later. He needs hard competition for the quickest possible improvement.
  13. Blair is smaller, but he has 20 lbs more. I think it's not only about height, it's about strength and that's where al isn't comparable to Blair. Additionally not everybody has the body to get muscles and strength at will...
  14. Now Boston supporters may party about this like lots of people here did about Lopez' injury... I didn't understand that joy cause I don't wish injuries to anybody.
  15. why is bud bringing dennis in for 5 seconds? seems like there's some rule like "you can play till your first turn". but that wouldn't make sense. young developing players must be allowed to make faults. if a player only thinks about preventing one single thing, exactly that will happen...

  17. Dennis had several very nice dimes, earned a lot of trips to the charity line - and used that chance. He wasn't driving to the hoop that much (compared to the second game vs. d-fenders). He got some open shots which he didn't take - still no confidence about his jumper, but I didn't expect that to change in some days. Some of his turns were really unnecessary - he still has to improve that. And I don't like his complaining about calls... Work hard, don't complain!
  18. if it comes to dirk (what will not happen, IF he will ever play for another NBA team than Dallas, it has to be a real contender), you would have to trade both, cause you still need a true rim protector at center. dirk is a 4, too. hasn't ever been a defender and will not become that anymore
  19. doesn't matter. the question is whether we could fall behind our own pick. that's why I hope we can switch AFTER the lottery
  20. If hawks keep loosing, I hope it's after the Lottery. Imagin that: Nets and ATL in lottery, Nets worse record, Hawks announce switch and Nets win Lottery with Hawks pick...
