As a fan I want to see my team winning as much as possible. If it gets respect for that, fine - if not, who cares? I'm exited about a team or a player, not about something some people I don't even know think about my team. And about attracting FAs it's more helpful to be a non selfish team with a great system and coach in the ecf than the same team with a first round exit because you call tell it's only one step to the finals...

In sports many points/goals/touchdowns per game means bigger chance for the favorite team to win. In most cases favorits are winning at all sports but at soccer or hockey you can win a game by a good goalkeeper and one single lucky goal. At basketball a buzzerbeater may be lucky, but you won't get the chance for a buzzerbeater if you are the worse team he whole game... Nevertheless a weaker team can beat a better one in the nba, but you have to do it four times out of seven if you want to reach the next playoff round. And if you want to make it to the Conference finals you have to do that twice in a row...

I think it's not that good to have two younger developing back up point guards who need their game time. You need a good locker room guy, veteran 3rd PG, who isn’t crying if not playing, but is also able to play in case of injuries, struggling of no. 2 or needed crunch minutes...

Avoiding the luxury tax sounds like a proper concern to me. It's really huge nowadays. That's what the new CBA is all about. Make the tax that expensive that it really hurts and nobody wants to pay it. And beside the biggest makets and a russion oligarch it seems nobody wants to. And empty seats don't help in this case... Haven't read the whole topic. But my five cents about the topic are: boycotting the nba dosn't change anything. Nobody will take care about some people not watching tv or some empty seats. If you want to send a message you have to go out and show it. So it would help a lot more to go to the games waering a "no racism" shirt. If you want to multiply your message print it on 20 additional shirts and give them to other fans in the arena.

Read some German news feeds and tweets about that. Are there some official sources?

To all the tank fans. If we could turn around this franchise with a 10th to 14th pick, what do you think will the 9 to 13 teams with better picks do? Some of them aready have more sold tickets, a bigger market, more talent and maybe more capspace - and they will get a better draft pick. Yes it's possible to build a championship team by tanking - but only for them, not for the hawks...
