After the first weeks of 13/14 NBA basketball, I would say there is a real chance for a run into the conference semifinals this year. I know that the season is still in the very beginning, but there are some points, which make me think about that [*]good start for the hawks although there are new players, a new coach and a new system - I think there is still room for further development (Lou will have a bigger impact, team chemistry will (hopefully) grow, players will become more familiar with each other...) [*]New York teams both struggling at the moment [*]Chicago lost D. Rose for another season [*]Many Teams that could be a surprise, don't want to, cause they are in tanking mode That's why I think home court advantage in the first playoff round is possible this year. Still very early, but that's what I thought when I read about D. Rose's injury.

Dennis struggles since his suspension. Before that he looked like good for me. He's got some bad games now. I think he's not that familiar with his teammates, YET. Teague gets a lot of his assists from pick and rolls with al. They are playing together for 4+ years now. It's clear that Dennis couldn't match this in 8 games. Lots of Dennis passes aren't shot very well - despite of open looks. That's because his teammates don't know him that well, too - and sometimes look quite surprised when they suddenly have the ball in their hands - additionally it's a difference who else is on the court to score from your assists...This should not excuse his bad performances last 3 games, (especially his shooting), but maybe it explains something. The point is the hardest position for rookies and so he should be allowed to develop. I hope coach Bud does.

There was one I saw and later another one during a replay where I only heard "and Schröder for 3" by the announcer. But nevertheless he will need some time to really learn about nba style. I hope he'll get the game time to do so!

Oladipo played PG at Summer League, didn't he? So Orlando wants him to become a PG or combo guard at least. If he fills the role at the point, there is no need to trade for another PG...
