  1. Dude had 12.8 points and 7.4 assists a game last year(32mpg). He might not be very fast, but he has an idea what he's doing on defense. As long as its no Chalmers.
  2. Dwight does two things very very well and sucks at most other things, although I've see some improvement in some of those areas and that says allot about his willingness.
  3. The bench whas doing bad way before that. Trade Baze. Play Kyle from the bench and pair him with Prince. Get another vet PG. Hope Splitter and Scott can mean something. And I actually think Muscala can be good. Many of his defensive mistakes are not written in stone and can be ironed out with more play time. Just dont like him to be in all those C matchups he gets. In some I'd rather see Humphries although he's overrated on this board, it is something.
  4. I think he's srsly hurt atm. He's stiff.
  5. I think Bud is rotating to much. He should stay with the same group of guys for longer stretches. Also Baze is really starting to irritate me. His constant smiles after putting up awful shots and then getting hammered on D. He got his, now get out of the league.
  6. Huge plays on both ends by Dennis late in the game. Also on help D, stripping Yannis alone going up for a dunk comming full speed from 15 feet away and right after that the charge taken coming from 10 feet away. Then Korver perfectly challenging Yannis's dunk attempt later whas also huge. That stretch of wide open shots for them totally disrupted them stablizing.
  7. He whas Kukoc in that first half. Cooled of in the second. Statline Kyle Kukoc of the bench, 9 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists....
  8. Thats why he needs to expect the hit and "power trough", not do all this balanced stuff that will take him off balance.
  9. The limits are one thing, but leading in TO's for instance another. Also in many plays under the basket he tries to do sweet stuff and ends up rejected or fouled without a basket(like how many and1's he has?), while in those situations you'd just wish he powers trough, knowing he could have. His hands just suck. Just grab the damn ball firmly ffs. Dont trie the finger roll ffs.
  10. Hate to say it, but for once we had officiating on our side. To many crap TO's and blown layups, otherwise W.
  11. Just change your name to AH15Fanboy and let them hate.
  12. Baze and Korver are chucking all 21 games season long(outside their somehow fantastic inbound plays). Baze takes 11 shots a game(2 less than Dennis) and is at 37%, has 0.2 more rebounds than Dennis "The PG" and 1 to 2/3 assists to TO ratio. Much worse is that team-mates often just cant know what he's up to now, nor has he often any idea where they are. Korver can not run anymore and hence can not get open shots in this Hawks system and the type of plays they keep running for him. He has 0.6 rebounds less than Dennis "The PG" and almost is at 1 to 1 on assist to TO's. But people expect Dennis to give them the ball more often, to create magical ball movement. Maybe so Korver can pass the ball to Baze. Or maybe the other way around. I dont know. Something to do with magic and Horford being trash.
  13. No. This is a hoping for the best, personell vs gameplan, issue. Im 35 and 1/2 years old and honestly I run the court better than Korver. He's a pro athlete with allot of wear and tear on his legs/feet but that is just telling me something. He always looks down, a bit hurting, when getting up and running. Then Baze....he's just headless and basically made it to pro basketball by being a great athlete and putting up a zillion jumpers in practice. Add in 2 other new starters and you cant expect them to play like a well oiled machine. You can "hope"....for the best...but it is not happening. They tried different things. Playing with Howard posting up allot, without him. They made allot of TO's, they didnt make allot of TO's. Offensively we just dont have many weapons, outside Dennis, Howard, Sap and some streaky shooting of the bench. And defensively we got rebounding but the lanes are wide open and teams are having 3 point records against us. So whatever good gameplans worked in favour in the past is now working against us. We dont have the guys to do it.
  14. Bud tried to be all edgy in that 2nd quarter against Detroit by benching all the starters, although the bench got us in that mess the first place. If I whas a player on the Hawks I would view that as a ´meh move, like a "I get what you are trying to tell us, but how will this solve a thing" type of situation. I'd like to say it is time to be a little more edgy and indeed give Prince and THJ some minutes as starters and see how it goes. But by now I'd rather trade Baze/Korver before their value goes down even further. Both are very tough sells right now though...so I guess they need to get going again and then ship them of. I said in the off-season, this is a team that can go anywhere depending on how things click, while it is a roster perfectly set to hedge the bets for a controlled rebuild. So, I think right now we can only hope for them to play better, ship them of and tank. And boy, also hurt to see Bebe f*** with us.
  15. Fair point. Although I wouldnt call it a "significant margin" and it was an impovement over his whole game not just scoring. Look I have in the past been arguing for Lance Stephenson, Paul Pierce and Jamal Crawford. With some regret, but we simply lack such a type of a player. And Gay is a huge upgrade over all of them. Already last year, we had great stretches where ball movement whas not going anywhere and imo we need a guy who can operate of the dribble and put up numbers. Not only to have a go-to-guy outside of Dennis, but also to have ball-movement at all seeing whe have been largely figured out with a range of pretty static type of players. We are no longer stacked with 3 point treaths and a C who plays like a guard on offense. We need to get away from what where because we simply dont have the material. Better to amp up the talent and go for some guys who show promise.
  16. We just have to get someone smart looking in there to harnas that Armenian owner in to his adidas tracksuit and make him repeat the name of our legendary shooter few times.
  17. Dude still has almost 20ppg, on 47FG%, 40% from 3 and makes 3 assists a game.
  18. Yeah, I'd like Lebron or Durant as well.
  19. Mourning whas much more savy, confident and also had a midrange game before his decline. Over his career as a relevant player he shot about 40% of all his FG attempts from midrange. One year even 67%. Only the washed up Mourning wasnt able to do that any more. He just had more finesse and whas also a good passer. Nvm his positioning on D. Dwight has the edge on athletisiscm and explosiveness though.
  20. I think Gay is a perfect fit with Dennis and Baze/Thabo. Dude has the gene to be a skilled passer and goes to work of the dribble. I also like his lenght and abillity to play PF.
  21. The problem of that pass whas that it whas a left handed alley hoop pass. Just saying...
  22. I keep on wondering about this because I miss Horford's passing/defense/picks more and more. Would he have been able to do these things from PF position?
  23. I think Howard watched some old Magic Johnson tapes lately. Watch out league.
