  1. Game is definitely in jeopardy without JJ in the lineup. Hawks need to keep making shots.
  2. It helps to play hurt teams w/o their offensive engines. - Banchero - Brunson / Randle - Mitchell / Mobely - no Ja Morant / Bane on Friday - hopefully Zion will rest on Sunday
  3. What day did you put Dre's face on Bigfoot? He's been a MONSTER since you did this.
  4. And unlike some of Trae's haters, we will cheer wildly when Dre plays well. This is lottery pick Dre. The Dre we've always wanted.
  5. I've been telling yall about Bruno's untapped potential as a passer.
  6. always good to beat the Knicks.
  7. Murray and Bogi. 6 - 21 FG Dremello trying to take us home
  8. nice assist by murray to capela
  9. he is at peace coming off the bench. No pressure.
  10. Brunooooooo ... keep playing man!
  11. Bench Dre is better than Steve Smith
  12. bruno with 6 turnovers .... still +4 for the game https://images.app.goo.gl/aU7isv8zo32bXES19
  13. Yes. Been saying he is really a 2. We have the big lineup we could be playing, and don't even know it.
  14. Bench Dre is the best shooter on Earth. Hawks blowing these scrubs out.
  15. 2019 Hunter ( trade ) - solid starter/6th man . . not producing at top 4 lottery pick level Reddish - bust Bruno ( trade ) - 3rd team center with 2nd team backup center potential 2020 Okongwu - solid role player . . . not producing at top 10 lottery level and unable to remove Clint from starting lineup Mays - G-league level guard 2021 J. Johnson - solid young prospect with high potential, starter level combo forward Cooper - G-league level guard 2022 Griffin - showed early promise as a prospect, in complete limbo now Rollins - traded for Tyrese Martin . . G-league level player 2023 Bufkin - G-league level guard with good potential to be a solid starter Lundy - G-league level guard We have 3 rotation players that we've drafted since 2019, with none of them turning into breakout type stars yet. JJ is the closest we have to that. All of our 2nd round picks have failed to become rotation players, and are struggling to even stay in the league. Even Bruno can't crack the lineup when everyone is healthy. Our drafting has been so bad, that we're hoping that an UNDRAFTED kid turns into a nice player ( Mo G ).
  16. Why do people keep saying that Trae is hard to build around. We havent tried. Siakam was the one to go get, but they coveted their young guys over adding an all-nba player on the frontline. And some of those guys the coach doesn't even play. A competent owner and front office doesn't let starter level players go, without replacing them with comparable talent. Ressler is running the franchise on the cheap. That is the real issue.
  17. I was at UT during the Allan Houston days. They didn't win a lot, but you could instantly tell that he was a NBA level talent. Knecht gives me that same feeling.
  18. At worse, he's Tyler Herro. He'll be out of our reach anyway, once UT wins the Natty this season. Once that happens, he's a lock to be a top 5 pick.
  19. Based off on 2019 production. Now, he's not better than Bruno. Dedmon's weakness is his defense, which is why he's no longer in the league.
  20. Brooklyn 3/2 Defense https://www.nba.com/game/atl-vs-bkn-0022300866/box-score?type=defense&period=All Bruno's defense was A-level yesterday. Not just from a blocked shot perspective, but by just challenging any shot attempt that got into the paint. He showed the ability to stay with or trail guards to deter their shots in the paint, and he stood tall vs Claxton and Sharpe. Jalen did a great job challenging 3 point shots. The effort was definitely there from him. He and Bruno get an A for their defense yesterday. Bey didn't stop anyone yesterday. He had no chance vs Bridges. And when he guards in the paint, he's not big enough to deter taller PFs and Cs from easily scoring at the rim. This hurts the Hawks tremendously, whenever we play small and aren't scoring on the other end. Capela wasn't much better. He started out well, but progressively got worse as the game went on. He got exposed a bit trying to guard Bridges and Schröder. Then Claxton had his way with Clint in the 2nd half. Hustle https://www.nba.com/game/atl-vs-bkn-0022300866/box-score?type=hustle&period=All Once again, the effort from Bruno cannot be understated. To challenge 11 shot attempts in 18 minutes of playing time, is outstanding. An unusual stat that stands out, is the number of times Capela boxed out in the game. 9 box outs by him, and 17 for the team total, is easily the largest number I've seen so far this season. The Nets, unfortunately, still pulled down 12 offensive rebounds, but at least the Hawks tried to put a body on someone to get a rebound. 50/88 contested shots = 57% contested shots I'll take that every game. Just have to secure the miss once we get a good shot contest.
