  1. Hopefully this is nothing serious regarding RHJ https://www.netsdaily.com/2018/8/4/17651516/details-scarce-after-rondae-hollis-jefferson-hurt-in-china-charity-game
  2. Adrian Wojnarowski‏Verified account @wojespn FollowingFollowing @wojespn More Per League approval, the Northcyde Ballers is trading the #148 pick . . . to @Buzzard . . . for his #168 pick. The Ballers are simply seeking to have the last pick in the draft, for entertainment purposes only. If the trade is approved, Buzzard will have the #144, #145 and #148 picks, which will end his participation in the draft 20 selections early. The Ballers will close out the draft with picks #165, and the final selection at #168. Rumors are circulating that they will select an Eastern Conference coach with one of these selection. 11:39AM - 6 Aug 2018
  3. So getting back on topic . . . I think Doncic has a much better chance to look good early, because he's surrounded by a few vets who can teach him the game. But unless both Dennis and Luka can rapidly develop, they're not going to be that good. That's probably why I'd start both Dennis and Luka together, right away, to see if they can build some chemistry with each other. As for Trae, he has to start from Day 1 now, with Schröder gone. We can play him and Lin both at the same time, just to give us 2 playmakers in the game. The team has to make it easier for Trae to score though. All of that dribbling to find his shot isn't going to fly once he gets into the league. He has to get more of his shots off of spot up looks, like Curry does. The big thing about the rebuild, is that the Hawks must get that superstar player either in the summer of 2019 or 2020. If we can't get that offensive game changer, I'm leaning more and more to throwing the house at Draymond Green. I think especially if Golden State wins another title, he may have a big enough ego to leave the Warriors, and see if he can be successful outside of that franchise, just to see if his legacy can be enhanced even more. And of course, he'd have no problem finding Trae for open shots, just like he does with Curry. And he'd instantly become the leader of the team.
  4. For you 2K players, here is an interesting Hawks rebuild. Without giving the contents of the video away, one of the interesting things I saw ( but wasn't commented on ), was the fact that Jeremy Lin won 6th man of the year . . . twice in the next 3 years. Also, Schröder wasn't traded and played the 6th man role . . . and actually played well.
  5. Very good pick. Had Julius Randle not been taken, I would've chose Randle and Vucevic, instead of Bagley and Carter Jr. With Randle gone, I decided to go with the kids.
  6. (( on tape delay )) In case you missed, it, the Northcyde Ballers had a special guest announcer to give the possible "steal" of the draft. Big Baller Brand's own . . The Lithuanian Launcher . . The Hangzhou Heister . . LiAngeloooooo Baaalllllllllll With the 100th pick in the Hawksquawk Dynasty Draft, the Northcyde Ballers select . . . LOUIS TYRONE WILLIAMS Lou was simply born to play basketball. Born in Memphis. Made in Metro Atlanta. Lou has the swagger of a gunslinger in the Old West who mysteriously just showed up into town and kills all of the bad guys. He doesn't pass ( or even look to pass ) well enough to be a point guard. But at 6 - 1, he's way too small to be your prototypical shooting guard. Because of this, Lou has carved himself a niche as a "mercenary scorer". When the Los Angeles Clippers lost Chris Paul to the Houston Rockets in a trade the Clips had to make to keep from losing him for nothing, most people thought the Clippers would go into a full rebuild. But in that trade, they acquired Lou, who ended up having one of his best years of his career in 2017 - 18. At a whopping 22.6 ppg ( his career high ), Lou would go on to win his 2nd NBA Sixth Man of the Year award and solidify himself as one of the league's most lethal scorers. Speaking of "scoring", Lou scores on and off the court. A few years back when he was in Toronto, Lou had a little of that Memphis "pimp" blood come out in him, when it was found out that he had 2 girlfriends at the same damn time . . . who knew about each other . . . and were actually COOL with it . . because they were dating each other TOO. Despite the lady on the right being his baby mother, the lady on the left would eventually be the winner of Lou's heart, after baby mom's said she couldn't do the 3-way anymore. No worries. They're all winning. Lou is seen constantly with his two daughters. Baby mom's is all smiles on social media. And the girlfriend ( who probably is wishing she'll become wifey . . and has a twin sister ), is living up in the luxury of Louwillville. On the Ballers, Lou just has one job. Put that orange sphere in the basket.
  7. On mobile, so no write up at this moment. I need a scoring guard. Still a top scorer on the board Lou Williams @capstone21 is up .... I think.
  8. What is JayBird's deadline to make her pick? Because if I can't pick within the next hour, you won't get a pick from me for about the next 6 hours.
  9. Oh . .. and Pau Gasol did it once
  10. Just for perspective In the past 10 years, the only players who have at least averaged 12 pts - 10 rebs - 2 blks . . . are these guys: Anthony Davis ( 5 times ) Dwight Howard ( 5 times ) Rudy Gobert ( 2 times ) Hassan Whiteside ( 2 times ) Andrew Bogut ( 2 times ) Deandre Jordan ( 1 time ) The 12 - 10 - 2 mark, is most similar to Andrew Bogut's last 2 years in Milwaukee. https://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/psl_finder.cgi?request=1&match=single&type=totals&per_minute_base=36&per_poss_base=100&season_start=1&season_end=-1&lg_id=NBA&age_min=0&age_max=99&is_playoffs=N&height_min=0&height_max=99&year_min=2009&year_max=2018&birth_country_is=Y&as_comp=gt&as_val=0&pos_is_g=Y&pos_is_gf=Y&pos_is_f=Y&pos_is_fg=Y&pos_is_fc=Y&pos_is_c=Y&pos_is_cf=Y&c1stat=pts_per_g&c1comp=gt&c1val=12&c2stat=trb_per_g&c2comp=gt&c2val=10&c3stat=blk_per_g&c3comp=gt&c3val=2&order_by=ws
  11. Define "shine". The NBA is a league of production. The players that shine, do multiple things at a decent level, or do one thing very well. So from a numbers standpoint, what does Len "shining" look like?
  12. So how many games are we going to win with "the deepest 5's in the league". Don't do this Mr. Hazer. Dedmon is the only guy who is even halfway decent. Len was a top 5 lottery pick, and Phoenix totally gave up on the guy when it came time to pay him. Plumlee is good in 60 second stretches. Those 3 on any good team, is your backup center. Collins is about as much of a center as Draymond Green. He can play the 5, but he isn't a 5. Collins and Dedmon should be starting.
  13. Question: If Trae and Luka, from a star standpoint, are basically on the same level, who wins the trade?
  14. I expect no less than 15 pts - 8 rebs from both guys.
  15. Kings depth chart http://www.espn.com/nba/team/depth/_/name/sac/sacramento-kings Bulls depth chart http://www.espn.com/nba/team/depth/_/name/chi/chicago-bulls If this is accurate, I think both guys are going to play a lot. I still say that Carter is a Day 1 starter, over (UNDRAFTED PLAYER AND TWIN BROTHER OF ANOTHER ~lw3). Bagley may actually get a run for his spot by (UNDRAFTED YOUNGBLOOD ~lw3), but both should play extensively.
  16. PG - Ball G - Evans F - Lebron / Kuzma F - Porzingis / Carter C - Cousins / Bagley
  17. And don't worry about Bagley. This guy has enough athletic skill and ability to bounce back from his Summer League struggles. He'll be back with a vengence. The Ballers UNDOUBTEDLY have the best and deepest frontline in all of Hawksquawk.
  18. For the next pick, I call upon the "Old BALL Coach" . . . . Steve Spurrier Ya know. It's not often that you get to pick two youngsters at the same time, that could be the cornerstone of your team. Hell, I was lucky to have Danny Wuerffel and Terry Dean at the same time. And the Gators had Emmitt Smith and Errict Rhett for 6 straight seasons. And they were from the same fraternity. So imagine my surprise when I get to say . . . With the 84th and 85th picks in the Hawksqawk Dynasty Draft . . . the Northcyde Ballers select . . MARVIN BAGLEY III and WENDELL CARTER JR While our All-Star big men are recovering from injury, the kids get to play . . . and play a lot. Talk about value from a trade involving Tatum and Sexton. The Ballers used that to acquire Lonzo, Marvin, and Wendell. WHAT A YOUNG CORE TO BUILD OFF OF!! I guess people were scared off by Bagley's struggles in Summer League. But they should've been impressed with what WCJ did. He not only established himself as one of the top big men in Summer League, he may very well be a Day 1 starter in Chicago. Some low key believe that Carter may be the best player in the 2018 draft.
  19. Finally . . . someone from Sacramento. Let me check the draft board to see who I THINK no one picked. Which is amazing, since he was the talk of the summer.
  20. And Tyreke is only about to turn 29. Seems like he's been in the league 15 years.
  21. To give this next pick, the Northcyde Ballers call upon the dead . . . . . the Father of basketball, James Naismith With the 76th pick in the Hawksquawk Dynasty Draft . . the Northcyde Ballers select . . TYREKE EVANS The former #4 pick in the 2009 NBA draft averaged 19 points - 5 assists - 5 rebounds last season, enabling him to be a key free agent pickup for the Indiana Pacers this season. After years of struggling to make 3s, Tyreke has become somewhat of a 3 point marksman, averaging 40% from that range last season. This also led to a career best in PER at 21.1, and in TS% at 56%. The Ballers have not only added a combo guy that can shoot the 3 and get his own shot, they've added a guy who can facilitate and make others better. PG - Ball G/F - Evans F - Lebron / Kuzma F - Porzingis C - Cousins @capstone21 is now on the clock
