  1. Skal gonna get those mins at PF when he gets healthy. Bruno needs mins in the G League. His BBIQ is way too low. Doesn't roll had to the rim. Has he ever caught an alley? Slow off his feet to jump. He needs to get his mind up to NBA speed. Nothing wrong with developing him there
  2. Bruno is straight ass right now. Alligator arms and slow to react to anything. Super low BBIQ. I will take Dedmon fouls over his ass right now any day. Bruno needs some serious G League action...
  3. Clarke is basically a finished product man. Cam has upside through the roof and is over 3 years younger. It's not a debate...
  4. Brandon Clarke is a great fit and nice player for Memphis but he's already matured. Dude will be 24 in a few months. I would much rather have a guy with Cam's upside at age 20 than Clarke at 23. You have seen the flashes from Cam. Clarke will be a solid player but Cam has Star upside. I'm pretty sure when Cam is 23 going on 24, which will be in 2023, we will have the better player... Besides, he's a smaller Collins. We needed a wing and got the best one available.
  5. I think with mins, he has Lauri Markkanen type upside. Their games are quite similar.
  6. Why? Dude has been good when he gets PT. Injury has been holding him back but I might be the most excited by this pickup the most. Has shown the ability to be a matchup well those those unicorn type forwards. Look at the game he played vs Giannis and the Bucks. Not many in the league can send Giannis shot back and he did it twice while not getting backed down in the post by him. He's added about 25 pounds of muscle since he's been in the league and got high praise from his teammates at the beginning of the season. Lillard himself called him the MVP of their camp this year. He was stuck behind a lot of forwards drafted higher than him in this previous stops with the Kings and Blazers who seem to both love drafting power forwards for some reason. Not saying he's a world beater, but with us he can actually play his natural position at 4 here. Career 36% 3 point shooters with a high release and high arch. Can rim run and is a legit 7 foot with shoes on. He will get plenty of mins at the 4 with us since backup pf is a position of need with us. He's a late bloomer. Was always gonna be a few years behind in development because of his late start playing competitively. Now he's been in the gym and the weight room working on his game and body professionally for 3 years and he's only 1 year older than Hunter. His body transformation has been pretty impressive. Looks like he wants it and he will get an opportunity with us to show what he's made of. Really like this move.
  7. Looked tired at the end. Laying bricks all of the second half...
  8. Cordinier just needs to tighten his handle and slow the game down in his mind. He makes some silly turnovers at times because of his inexperience. He is blindingly quick and athletic as all get out but needs to understand that at the next level, you can't blow by every defender. Needs to in the gym and do those dribbling drills day and night. If he tightens his handle, it will open up his game a bunch. All of this comes with time and motivation. He has the motivation, but he's just 19. Needs some time to fix his flaws. His set jumper is pretty and high arcing. Can finish at the rim with highlight athleticism. Those are great tools to start with...
  9. This wasn't a slight directed at you. During the entire summer league, people on these boards have been ragging on this guy and questioning his ability. He's doing what he is supposed to do; protect the paint, rebound and finish on his deep posts. Teams literally abandon the thought of driving in the paint when he is in the game. There is a huge difference when he is in the game vs when Costello or Ashley is manning the 5. Sure, he has bobbled some passes and brought the ball down low at times, but he has shown a stark improvement in overall awareness on the basketball court. He had disrupted a ton of shots, and when he gets a post catch, it's over. He is also a very good free throw shooter for a big. All in all, Edy has a lot of growing to do, but his upside is high. Like Gobert high... He has done nothing but improve. Definitely looks better than Moose last year, who got a lot of burn in the playoffs, in the summer league. The guy just needs playing time...
  10. Mannnn, Prince was hooping! 21 and 9 (in 24 mins) in just his second game on the team and wasn't willin. He was on the boards, getting to the line and hitting his free throws and created his shot at times. Active on the defensive end too. Dropped both of his looks from 3. +28... He's not a superstar but he's a damn good fit! Bembry was steady. He looked a little shy with the ball the first half but made some plays in the second. Posterized Cauley-Stein which got me hype LOL! Excellent D also. Won his matchup against Richardson pretty easily. 14 and 5 with a +14 Edy... Man, can people shut the h@ll up about him not playing well? When Cauley-Stein was in the game (he was in foul trouble because of Edy) he DOMINATED him! Stein only got his 4 points when Edy hedged himself a little too far away from the basket. Edy also ran step for step with him up and down the floor. That's impressive... Does not have bricks for hands. He gathered 2 bad passes at his ankles to rise and dunk off pick and rolls plus had 3 steals. Dude was hoopin and argubly had a better game than Prince. 14, 9 and 3 steals with a +27 isn't too bad for a second rounder going against the 4th pick in 2015...
  11. L Lifesaver... Thank you bro.
  12. I was thinking about them as options too but neither play any D. Might be fine in Houston to do that, but here, that won't float...
  13. No way this team could be this deep with Whoreford (copyighted by Diesel) on the squad.
  14. Suddenly we are deep as hell. 3 deep at all positions and wouldn't mind if the 15th guy off the bench got in the game. Our "scrub" on the bench would be in the rotation for half the teams in the league in my eyes.
  15. Most exciting offseason in a long long time...
  16. On another note, wow.... Kinda called the Humph signing an hour ago. Better deal than I than I anticipated. Damn, we are having a hell of an offseason low key tho...
  17. If we can find a way to dump Splitter and pick up Humph, we would be in good shape. 2 years 9 mill with a team option should do it...
  18. Prince is much more fluid than I thought, even after watching his tape. Definitely more fluid and adept at handling the ball than DMC. Nice looking shot and finishing ability at the rim. Strong body that finishes though contact and bullies defenders in the lane. Active body on the defense with long arms. I feel a lot better about our 12 pick after seeing him play 1 game. Prince and Bembry are perfect fits for this team.
  19. I know its just summer league, but this win was impressive. Without our highest draft pick, we won a game vs a team that that started a lineup that had a ton of NBA experience. Beasley could start on a lot of teams in this league. McDaniels and Harrell have seen extensive minutes and are legit quality defenders at the next level. Dekker was seeing minutes before his injury. Dug ourselves into an early but found a way to turn it around against a pretty veteran lineup. Bembry, Patterson and Pangos were steadying forces. Cordinier struggled a bit with his handle and speed of the game at times but showed some BIG TIME athleticism. The fastbreak alley from Patterson was wayyy off target, but he made a Julio type catch behind his body ( at least 3 feet) and finished in the air. The rainbow 3 showed that he has a nice shot when his feet are set. Great upside for a 2nd round 19 year old. Cotton showed he had a knack for scoring, hitting some big shots for us also. Needs to clean up his passing though, made some pretty terrible ones...
  20. Bembry - Smooth dude. Excellent defender with the ability to play/defend 1, 2 and 3 and not look lost at any of those positions. Had Dekker, McDaniels and Beasley guarding him on occasions and still put up a decent stat line vs those NBA players. Shot isn't as bad as people are saying, the contested 3 he hit came with a smooth shooting stroke. Very good in transition and finishes with athleticism. Couldn't do any better with the 21st pick. Perfect fit for our system. Costello - Surprised that he played like he did. The guy was just solid and looked like he had done this before Patterson - Had his granddaddy game on deck. Heady player Edy - Not as bad as most were saying he was. He shut down the paint when he was in the game. Offensively, he just needs to learn to never pull the ball down below his neck. When he pulled the ball down, he had some issues, but when he kept it high in the paint, he finished. He needs more PT. Pangos - Closed out the game. Came thru in the clutch and hit some big shots. Was also impressed with his left hand finish at the rim. Nice game
