  1. Sounds reasonable. Thinks Hawks could be team to beat in the conference. http://www.csnwashington.com/basketball-washington-wizards/talk/behind-enemy-lines-atlanta-hawks
  2. Hope this hasn't already been posted. http://m.bleacherreport.com/articles/2150150-updated-long-term-plan-for-the-atlanta-hawks
  3. I would not be happy with that trade. Just the latest info I have seen. If both Sap and Korver were traded we would need additional talent to be coming back in return. What SG's could Detroit include?
  4. Not sure if this has been posted. http://www.gospelherald.com/articles/52091/20140804/nba-trade-rumors-greg-monroe-heading-to-atlanta-hawks.htm
  5. Let's not count out Indiana yet. They can make moves or trades to make up some of the difference of losing PG. If they signed both Beasley and Marion, they could still compete to at least make the playoffs.
  6. Pls excuse typos. Using new app.
  7. I believe that Horford has showed new flashes on offense when he played last year. Maybe not to the same degree as Duncan, but he has played in the system longer and is probably more comfortable innovating within the system than Horgan was. I hope you are not suggesting that Hoff has no more to give us. I think that every year Horford shows improvements in his offensive game. I am looking forward to seeing him play again.
  8. Does Tim Duncan create his own offense? More so than Horford?
  9. Just throwing this out there because he is definitely a player with talent. Also, I think he has had a chance to mature and could be a great addition to the team. Give me some feedback. What do you think? @OGRAT
  10. I voted for Chandler Parson b/c I believe this team could use better scoring/shooting from the SF position. I am concerned about roster space to accommodate another big. No need for Greg Monroe if Payne has a back to the basket game. Monroe would only be duplication at that position. Really need a rim protector that Monroe has not been. Another free agent I wish we could get/fit Shaun Livingston. He is a game changer, provides position flexibility and finally seems to be healthy again. IMHO
  11. Please check the stats. 5.6 vs 5.0 this year.
  12. Demarre is a really good complimentary player at a much cheaper price.
  13. I keep hoping that Antić has a break out game, and I kind of think that the coaches are looking for that too. I believe Antić and Ayón will be key for us long term so they are going to have to get minutes to develop. But why didn't Brand play at all? We could have dominated inside against Bargnani.
  14. Yeah, what's up with that hair cut. Looks like the cut I got from supercuts once. That was the first time I shaved my head. Hopefully someone will show him where to get a good cut.

    Playoffs?

Just read a pre-season prediction that the Hawks will not make the playoffs. http://www.csnchicago.com/bulls-talk/nba-predictions-eastern-conference-breakdown?p=ya5nbcs&ocid=yahoo Are we playing for a lottery pick? What do you guys think?
  16. Thanks for all the congratulations. Had a pretty nice draft. Looking forward to taking on all challengers next year.
  17. Also I would like to know what type of game they play. Do they play in the low post or out on the perimeter.
  18. I definitely agree that we need a number one option. On the other hand, I am optimistic about this season because the Hawks is seemingly a different organization with DF at the helm. I actually feel like we are in it to win it (long-term), not just to make the playoffs. A successful season for me would be one in which the team's image continues to change for the better. If we are able to sign Harden (not debating if he is a number one or not) or one of the leagues premier free agents next off season, to me that is a sign of positive image change. Like Grey Mule has stated, we have not had much luck bringing in premier talents in the past. I like the positive press the team is getting, but a successful season to me depends on next offseason (as many have said). I'd like our organization to garner enough respect due to its moves going into next season, so that we are no longer a surprise when we do something positive. I want other teams and GMs to envy what the Hawks do, like the Lakers and the Spurs. OGrat
  19. What's up hawks fans? I don't post a lot, but I have been around for a while and have seen the Hawks at several stages of development. From the Nique days to the Smith, Mutumbo, Blaylock days to the GRob, Terry days to the Harrington, Walker days. Not trying to list all the generations of Hawks teams, but suffice it to say that this team has gone through many iterations of rebuilding and reloading as we, I assume, attempted to win a championship. But as of yet, we have not gotten there (recently)So I'd like to get your feedback on this topic. What would make this a successful season? Are you just happy that we have cleared cap space this off season and it does not matter how many games we win? Or, do you have specific goals for the team as it is currently formed? Other positions? 20. Dude you are seriously sleeping on KLove. Well, maybe I should ask what question you are asking?
  21. Guess Ferry sees something in Damian he does not see in Andersen. Both coming off injury hampered beginnings, but one gets a contract, while the other gets a camp invite. I am happy to have another real SF option on the team. Hope he develops and plays well.
  22. Does this mean that the Hawks won't be signing James Anderson? Does the team have another position or will there need to be another trade to accomodate Anderson?
