  1. Trae - I want to see Trae improve his 3 point shooting and continue to decrease his turnovers. That'll go a long way with the Hawks being a top 3 seed. Cam just needs to show offensive consistency this season. Meaning improved handle so he can get to the basket and finish better, more consistent outside shot. and continue to be a dog on defense. I don't need Cam to shoot 40% or anything, but if he improves his percentages to about 44% from the field and 35 to 36% three, I'll be very encouraged about his ceiling. Hunter - He still can improve his three point shot. In the beginning of the season, he was hitting around 38-40%, but that declined as the season went on. I believe most of that had to do with his knee bothering him though. I hope he comes back fully healthy. Kevin - He's basically answered all the questions we had for him. I believe he'll be best fit as the sixth man. He needs to improve his spot up three shooting and overall three percentage. I believe he will. He needs to focus on improving his finishing at the rim and getting to the line. The key for him this season was finding his spot in the midrange. Okongwu - He's probably going to have a pretty good jump considering this will be his first healthy off season with the team. John - I want to see what John improves on after getting paid. He hit some really big shots from the corner three. If he comes back with an improved handle, the league should be put on notice. Gallo - I hope he comes back in better shape. The extra bulk helped him in the playoffs, but after his injury you can clearly see he lost some of his fitness. Bogi - I want to see March and April Bogi all next season. I'd like to see him getting to the foul line a little more. Capella - Work on those freethrows and find one solid go to move that he can use at the basket. This Hawks' core just has so much potential if they keep improving.
  2. Again, you need to be directing this at the people who said it. I was a Lloyd supporter. It's the tone you are taking and it seems you are saying I'm saying this stuff. I'm not. Neither did Jay. So why are you ranting at us? LP is no longer on the team and I wish him well. He sent a nice letter to the city of Atlanta and Hawks fan. There are always toxic people in general, but the MAJORITY of Hawks fan rarely speak on Lloyd anymore. If you're letting the loud minority get to you, that's on you.
  3. Like you I got bad information from an article and didn't check the math . thanks @JayBirdHawk.
  4. If he's medically cleared and there at 20, the only question about him is what number will he wear. Cause number 12 is currently occupied on the Hawks' roster. . Edit: And just like that he's medically cleared. I'm not sure he'll be there at 20 though. The Hawks have so many quality options at 20. 1. Tre Man 2. Jared Butler, 3. Jared Springer 4. Shairef (sp) Cooper 5. Ziaire Williams 6. Josh Christopher 7. Bones Neyland ( if he's still there in the second round, you run to the podium). My initial pause on Jared was I thought he was older than he was. I was confusing him with the guy that's 24 years old. Jared is only 20 and I believe he was a Junior last year. He'd be a great backup PG option when considering all the things he brings to the table.
  5. Yeah I was meaning on the first contract regarding the 25%.
  6. From what I've read, a 4 year max from another team puts John at 4 years $117 million with is an average of about $28 million per year. Travis was rumored to offer John 4 years $90 million or an average of about $22.5 million per year. A difference of about $5.5 million per year. That's not going to make or break the decisions on Cam and Hunter.
  7. I second Jaybird from what I've been reading it's always 25% flat unless it's the supermax.
  8. Steve Holman said that Lloyd was telling other coaches not to vote Trae onto the allstar team. That's not what @JayBirdHawk said. She just laid out the evidence of the claims against Lloyd. Seems you are trying to blame her for something she never said. She provided evidence for who did say it, Holman and some reporters reported that Lloyd on a call with other coaches said he didn't like Trae's foul baiting. That's not saying Lloyd tried to sabotage him. They are two different arguments.
  9. I edited my response above. Your opinion is fair but the likelihood of all four getting a max is slim in my opinion. I believe they all will be close to maxes. Depending on the amount of the salary cap increases, John's max may not have the same salary cap implications if there's another huge jump in the salary cap ala allowing GSW to sign KD. There are some ridiculous numbers being talked about with that new TV deal.
  10. I think you are confusing the max with the super max. Trae will be eligible for the super max (it may not be called that, but it's the Derrick Rose Rule) because he may make an All NBA team or be an MVP on his rookie scale contract. @REHawksFan is correct that any team with the requisite cap space can give John about 25% of the cap regardless of him being an Allstar etc. I agree with @sillent that John at the max won't really affect the Hawks ability to sign the young core. It's not likely that everyone will qualify for the max . If the Hawks are in the EFC and finals consistently and everyone is playing up to their potential, Toni will just have to pay the tax. Edit: I say it shouldn't affect the rest of the young core because the Hawks can go above and beyond the cap and into the Luxury tax to re-sign their draft picks. It probably wouldn't make good business since to have four max contracts on your books, but I don't believe a team will throw a max at Reddish. He'll probably get close to it, but as of yet he's been way too inconsistent and he'll probably be coming off the bench. If Reddish plays up to his potential and Hunter continues to show great improvement, they'll probably go into the tax for a few years like GWS. Also the salary cap is supposed to Skyrocket again with the new TV and streaming deals so all of this may be a moot point in three years. I also see Bogi and Gallo being off the team in the next three years as the young guys step up.
  11. I'm fine with it. Heal up Trae and use it as motivation to destroy the league while winning your first MVP, Championship and Finals MVP. Solo indicated that Trae was still healing up so I don't know if he is available anyway. For you non anime watchers this means his ankle needs to heal.
  12. This is the worst of them all. My gawd. For 14.5 pts per game Butler (in the playoffs)? Who can't shoot a three to save his life? Miss me with this one.
  13. Don't be scared. I'm here for you bro. I'll be right there with him though.
  14. I'm not sure he was blaming Cam per se, but he was referring to his poor production on the offensive end on that side which wasn't helping the Hawks.
  15. He's an option, but when you consider age and upside, there may be a few better prospects in my opinion. I wouldn't be upset with him, I just see some prospects who I think would be a better fit right now and produce more in the future. Jared Butler, Tre Mann, Jared Springer, Bones, and Ayo are very good options at 20 though.
  16. Some players of Hawks Interest I'm hoping the Hawks can sign John at the numbers Hollinger is suggesting.
  17. I've looked more into him lately and if the ATL medical staff says he's good to go you run to the podium. He just does so much so well and to get that in a backup point guard would be great!!!
  18. This is where I first saw it. Probably the same for you? I actually love that nickname. Edit: To add to the topic discussion. I'm in the boat we round out the edges. I believe the 20th pick will be used on a guard with some upside and the 2nd rounder will have super upside. I think we hit the free agency pool for someone with some girth to help with the bigger teams like Philly and Milwaukee. I think the assumption that the reason the Bucks beat up on the Hawks was due to our bigs being out worked in inaccurate. It was Jrue and Middleton getting anywhere they wanting because of poor perimeter defense which caused our bigs to over help and be out of position for the rebounds. Like others have stated, I believe Cam, Hunter and a healthy Bogi will alleviate this as they are all solid rebounders and defenders. I don't want to see wholesale changes. We need to know what we have with a healthy squad before consolidating the talent for an "upgrade". After listening to Nate's interview on siriusxm, I'm confident John will be back. Would you guys consider Alex Len for that third big role? He'll probably be cheap and available and really enjoyed playing with the young guys. There are plenty of solid options for the third big.
  19. I like Jaden because of his age and defensive ability. Your Tre Mann points are a little off. I've watched a lot of scouting reports of him and pretty much all of his games this season. Tre actually has a problem finishing at the rim, but has one of the best floaters in college basketball. I believe he's like top 3 in the NCAA. He also is a much better passer than you are indicating out of the pick and roll. Tre is also in the 90th percentile in shooting off the dribble. He's exactly what you want in someone to attack the Bucks defense. He's already doing NBA things in college. I just hope the Hawks can get him.
  20. I've been spamming the board for Tre Man. for months now. He can do a lot of what Trae does in a 6'4" 5? frame. He's not as dynamic as Trae, but in my opinion would make a great backup for him. I really like Jaden Springer too. He's more of a shooting/combo guard, but I think he has plenty of upside and he's great on the defensive end. . I can be talked into any of these guys. Though. Here are a few breakdowns I liked for guards that should be there around pick 20. These guys have a lot of talent for the 20th pick. 1. Tre Mann 2. Jared Butler 3. Davion Mitchell 4. Jaden Springer 5. Sharifee Cooper
  21. LOL...are you trolling or serious? Because you normally don't like any draft prospects..lol I like what he brings to the table, but he better learn how to shoot before he becomes the best player in this draft. Jalen Green is my pick to be the best in my opinion. That kid has something special and I can't put my finger on it.
  22. Just listened to the entire interview. He spoke about 10 - 15 minutes. Hey gave some good information. 1. Says he didn't have much time to implement his system or make wholesale changes. We were basically running what we always ran with some Nate tweeks. (We all kind of know this). The interesting part was he says we will continue to run the system because it was so successful. We will just need to run it better. 2. Cam - Says he only worked with him three games, but he is similar to PG13 with his two way ability. The organization has talked to Cam about getting in the gym working on his game to make sure he's more consistent and can reach his potential. 3. John Collins - Says he is core member of the team and expects him back!
