I agree with this part. In a normal year, I'd be right with you and upset he didn't get the invite. This is a truncated off season so that's why I've been saying it's best for him to rest and recover. I need this championship in my lifetime. :).

Let's just agree to disagree. I don't want anything hurting our chances. Rest is the best thing for Trae after his FIRST major playoff run. Again would you rather have an NBA Championship or a Gold Medal which Team USA almost always win? I'll take the Championship and in my opinion resting, recovery, working on his game is what I think is best for the Hawks. Accolades be damned. I get being upset over the slight, but to me him being rested is what's best for the Hawks and that's all I care about.

I understand that, but in your Hawks fandom you shouldn't want him there. It doesn't make sense to want him there after a huge playoff run and coming off an injury. He will get his time on the team, but to me an NBA Championship is much more important. I get the "wanting" him to decline, but Trae wouldn't decline because of who he is. I want him rested and healthy.

No, he can't shoot. Edit: It's his form that's super concerning. That's a lot to work out in order for him to become a good shooter. His passing is next level.

Just take all my likes and thanks!!! If we have a young talented backup PG that we can cost control for at least 4 years that'll be great. We'll need a vet that can play until the young guy is ready to go.

Team USA is a nonstarter for me. The Hawks players need their rest and rehab.. Team USA will be good and probably win gold which we as a country have done several times. The Atlanta Hawks have never won an NBA championship. I want our guys to be ready for a championship run next season. It'll mean more to me than a gold in the Olympics which I've seen several times in my lifetime. This will be the last time Trae is left off the team and its more important for me that he be rested and healthy for next season than teaming up with a bunch of all NBAers and winning a gold medal. He'll get one when he's about 26.

You won't have to attach an asset to trade Bogi. As long as he's healthy, his contract is about his value. He's $18,000,000 each year. That's generally what you pay for a quality starter and Bogi's def that. At the end of the season, he was playing like an All star. If he continues that through year three of his contract, you can get an asset in a trade for him. I understand Bogi and Gallo are most likely the ones to go as our young core grows. Kevin has to continue his improvement, but I'm confident he will. Good problems to have.

I'm here for it. The conversation has already been debated a bit throughout the playoffs on the national shows. I've come to realize the reason the narrative was so lopsided was because no one watched the Hawks play but Hawks fans. They only had like five nationally televised games in three years. This why other fans on other message boards would say that Trae wasn't a great passer, ball hog, stat padder, etc. I'm curious to see how many nationally televised games we get next season. Pretty sure it'll be more than five and may actually get a Christmas Day game against the Knicks!

I've been watching a lot of film and I'm still a Tre Mann stan. That shooting off the dribble and ability to play the pick and roll is too enticing not to draft for our backup PG. He's also a pretty good passer to boot, but I think he'll need a little time to adjust to the faster reads in the NBA. This class has some really good quality for what the Hawks run and need at their pick. I want to the Hawks to address backup center in free agency. With the second round pick, they should take a flier on BJ Boston. He was at Norcross high with my neice and I'm always rooting for the kid. It'll be great to have him back in Atl. You can never have too many useful wings.

I chose other. All of the above. Each of those moments were the best at the time. The game winning shot in New York was huge and Bogi's three to tie the game was just as huge. Cam was a surprise. Huerter was magnificent in a game 7. Just everything about this playoff run was memorable for me!

I've been Camfam from day one. During the drafting process I saw him and hoped and prayed the Hawks would draft him. I saw him as a perfect fit with his skillset next to Trae. The selection of Hunter through me for a loop, but I'm so thankful he's here. I'm just so happy about this team and its future. Next year, when the Hawks are the number one seed, the doubters will still have a lot of negative things to say, but we Hawks fans won't care. As the saying goes when you get haters, you are doing something right. Trae's also tired of this.
