    I'd just sign him in the off season. Did the Pistons pick up his option? If not, that would be a solid signing for back up center with some upside. Trae would make him better than what we've seen with other teams, but I'm not sure of the cost of $12 million this year. I'd like to keep Patty around for his leadership.

    I'm aware...lol. It's not like Quin has eliminated the midrange either. They still seem to be shooting a ton relative to other teams, but the player and ball movement is night and day. It's probably because Quin let's anyone initiate the offense, but Nate's system always had the guards doing it.

    Rewatching the highlights of the game, the spacing Dejounte and Trae have to work with is night and day between last year and this year. I now see why you guys disliked Nate's offensive scheme so much.

    I was thinking about this last night. I agree 100%. Quin's playing the guys more early so they get comfortable in his system. Once they do and hopefully the wins are piling up, he'll expand his rotation to keep everyone fresh for the playoffs. I don't want to get too far ahead of myself with the playoff talk though.

    Some of that has to do with the Bally app crashing the last two games for most of us.

    That fourth quarter defensive effort was horrendous. The win was never in doubt though. Seems like the Hawks put in two dominate quarters and then coast. That's a big improvement from the past few seasons, but got to finish better. Quin is going to have a lot teach on in an otherwise blowout win.

    Should have gave the ball up with the quickness..lol They are still showing me something. Last year, against clearly inferior teams, they'd be close going into the fourth quarter and find a way to lose. I'm loving the offensive and defensive scheme Quin is installing. Finish this fourth strong and get this dub.

    The one thing I honestly need Trae to improve on is to not relax when we get 20 point leads. Have that freaking killer instinct. If we're up 20, get it up to 30. Up 30 get it up to 40.

    The one thing I'm loving this early season is the Hawks are starting to string together quarters where they are beating their opponents by 10+ points. That is the key to winning a lot of regular season games and what good teams tend to do..

    Just watched the highlights because the stupid Ballysports app wasn't working until the game was over. What a comeback!!!! This team was down 20+ and just turned it on and beat the breaks off Minnie as Nique would say. Murray was on fire from the highlights looks like Trae was moving the ball and everyone just played well on the second night of a back to back. This team is looking different.

    Ayy. I said .500 before the first game until they show me otherwise...lol Great team win tonight though. JJ has been great and been a pleasant surprise! So glad to see him coming out effectively in the early season. Has to work on those free throws though. It looks like the Quinn has unlocked Hunter. If we can get this Hunter throughout the season the Hawks will be an upper echelon team. I believe Murray and Trae will play much better. There is a stark difference between Quinn and Nate and it's about the aggressiveness we've seen on the defensive end. I'm loving the ball pressure and Nate seemed like he didn't care about that. Let's get this win tomorrow guys and start building on something for the season.

    They should have more than tonight. The good passing lineup comes from the bench. The qualifier of saying were the assists will come from the starters to me is misleading. Bogi, Jalen and OO are plus passers for their position so that's where the other assists will come from when the team is playing well.

    Well the past few seasons, the team came out like gang busters and had us all hyped to just finish around .500. Its early season and there's a ton of overreaction in here. The Hawks struggle against the hornets for some odd reason. Trae never shoots well against them unless its a play-in. Not even disappointed cause like I said. This team is a .500 team until they prove otherwise. Really hoping they prove otherwise.

    I just know you going to light them up during the regular season when the are 41-41 again. My realistic prediction is 46 -36. My floor for the team is 41-41 Best - 54 - 28 2. Name the starting PF and C at season's end - JJ and Clint Capela 3. Team 3P% (Last year 35.2%)- 36% 4. Team Defensive Rating (Not looking for the actual number but where we rank among other teams. Last year we were #22, year before #26.)- 18th 5. Team leader in 3P% (Minimum 50 FGM)- Bogi

    Those of us in the keep Capela corner aren't against trading him. We just aren't for trading him for the sake of trading him and not getting something in equal or greater value in return. It's easy to say yes let's trade him, but what's the return on him? Trade Capela for a 2nd round pick and have Bruno as your back up just because? No, thanks to that. Edit: Also not saying your point isn't valid. We will lose negotiating power the longer we wait. The salary cap rising may help us out a bit.

    That's the thing, we won't have that tied up in every position and will be fine. There salary cap is going to go up a lot and having $50 million tied up in the center position won't cripple the Hawks. If Tony wants to win, he'll have to pay luxury tax at some point.
