  1. Lol, nah, I don't think anyone is buying that. THJr has some value, probably more to the Hawks than in a trade. Now as part of package deal in return of players of substances, maybe. But not for 2nd round picks lol.
  2. It's the world we live in. People get off on looking for reasons to be offended
  3. That's just Supes. Since his first appearance on the Squawk he's fancied himself as some kind of basketball savant, an 'NBA Scout' in his own mind. To the rest of us, he's just the brightest kid in his special ed class. Which is good....but, ya know :)
  4. Just wondering why you think his midrange is so good? Maybe you watched a game early on when he was hitting his pull up jumpers from 18 ft. But those have dried up. He's shooting 44% from inside the arc (8-46 from deep). He can't make an entry pass to save his life and lacks the quickness to create. And I assure you, 44% is not "best in the league" type of production.
  5. The youngsters won't get the Weird Science reference :)
  6. Baze has kind of become the bizzaro Josh Smith. Kent needs to spot up in the corners for open 3s and limit his dribbling. Instead, as soon as he came in last night he put the ball on the floor for a running jumper and then a turnover as he again was punished for his lack of a handle. When things are going bad (in any sport) it's important to simplify and focus on efficiency. He's as wild as ever, like he's trying to prove something. Self awareness....maybe another deficiency he shares with Jsmoove.
  7. But man, it would really be nice to have a wing who could hit an outside shot! Thabo's shot has been broken lately. He is likely the best option, considering.

    Dominique is magnifique!
  9. It's been pretty obvious to me when Baze tries (frequently) to be more than just a 3&D player, he hurts the team. Turns the ball over, takes wild shots near traffic, and can make some head scratching pass attempts. This goes back to the JSmoove days...not as bad, mind you....of playing to your weaknesses instead of doing what you do best.
  10. As in Baze driving wildly into traffic and flipping shots in the general direction of the basket.
  11. Looked like D8 was extremely upset with Dennis on that 3 second call. He had position and Dennis didn't recognize him until too late.
  12. Anytime I see Supes get all "I have a higher understanding of basketball than you peons", I think back to his crusade for Brandan Wright in the 2007 draft and it makes me smile :)
  13. Depends on Korver, Baze, and THJ. That's what many are missing. Without more additions, our success will be tied to how well these guys shoot from the arc.
  14. I'm guessing the holdup would be trying to utilize Horford's Bird Rights to it's fullest extent. Sign Howard or whoever our targets are and THEN sign Horford since we can exceed the cap to bring him back.
  15. I don't mind giving Horford the full max if it takes that to bring him back. In the end, he's an asset and can be flipped down the road if we go in a different direction.

    Really?

First the Hawks and now the Raptors have picked their poison in regards to their defensive strategy against the Cavs. The Cavs are proving either poison is deadly.
  17. It was an awkward interview. Barkley put on him on the spot by asking him " why do you think it is that people don't like you?" And then they proceeded to tell him that he struggled in Houston because Harden was the the worst kind of player for a big man to play with because he dominates the ball and stagnates ball movement. They also tried to give him advice on being himself on the court and not paying attention to the talking heads.
  18. Thinking out loud here: So, what does Horford provide on the court that Humphries couldn't give you at a significantly reduced price? Given the same minutes, would Horford produce much more going forward?? He's a power forward but we could still upgrade at the center position in other ways.

    Schröder.

It's also possible that Teague's injuries are more serious than we know and Bud's decision to sit him late had more to do with that than passing the torch to Dennis.
  20. BTW.....Korver shooting over 52% from 3 point land for the month of March.
  21. We can rule the day, and they can RUE the day. ;-)
