Why would Utah want Sap with favors and gobert? The only piece I'd he interested in would be Hayward or hood out of utah...that package blows.

I'm going all in. I want to offer Sap for as many young assets with high upside to whoever wants him as possible. From PHX, give me one of booker or bender. Throw in bledsoe, Len, warren, draft picks. Just anything young with potential and hopefully use that to get butler out of Chicago. Obviously we'd still have to unload some players for the cap to work, but going from Sap to butler would save about 3 mil itself. I bet a package of Bledsoe / Warren / Len and 2 or 3 first round draft picks would get their attention.

So I just decided to do the smart thing and look up Brewers shooting %. So, yeah. I have no idea where I got that idea. I'll see myself out and maybe think things through next time. Lol

It'd be a gamble, but I'd rather go down in flames trying than maintain status quo. It also fixes a pretty big weakness and makes us significantly more versatile.

The more I think about it, the more I like it as long as everyone bought in (still prefer Pau to Dwight). We would be a match up night mare...play big with Sap horford and Dwight or small and keep Sap and Horford out there.

I would just to get rid of splitter, but wouldn't include the 1st. And I doubt dallas does that. He would be on the books 2 to 3 more years.... at the end of the day are we better with 5 years of baze at 19-20 with our 1st....or 3 years of this guy at 17-18 and no 1 in this scenario?

Those clutch shots become a lot more important when the other team gets 2 or 3 tries to your 1. I don't want to think about it, but there were many times in the closing minutes we got a much needed stop only to have Tristan bring down the board and they get another shot or 2 and hit it. Rebounding was more an issue as opposed to hitting shots when it comes to us matching up with the 'Land Lebrons...imo.

I didn't want to start a new thread on this, but has there been any rumors connecting us to Pau? Sap / Horford / Pau is far more intriguing to me if we are going that route.

I actually like the idea of trading with the Spurs for a change. But what if we bring in another team and do something like... Spurs...Trade: Green / Mills... Receive: 2 future 2 (Atl) 1 future 2 (Phil) Hawks...Trade: 2 future 2... Receive: Mills / Robert Covington Philly...Trade: Covington and a 2... Receive: Green Spurs clear cap space to push for Conley or Durant. Atl picks up a BU PG and depth / potential wing starter in Covington. Philly has depth at SF and sounds like they want to push for Barnes. What they do lack is a quality SG and veteran leadership. I'd rather the hawks do this and still have cap space for baze (or Crabbe) / Horford than bring in an aging Deng that won't add much value long term. Shro/ Mills Baze / Kover /THJ Cov / Sef / Prince / Bembry ( D league) Sap / ??? / ??? Horford / Splitter / Tavares

What about a guy like Cole Aldrich for 2 to 3 million (maybe wishful thinking) and find a way to trade splitter? We get a big that plays within himself and rebounds well, although not an elite defender. On top of that we get an additional 5 to 6 million in cap space that may allow us to resign Baze, Horford, and another FA.

There has been some mention of Allan Crabbe on the board, but has there been any mention the Hawks are actually interested in him? I liked his game the few times I saw him and think he is a little more fluid, not as explosive, but more fluid than Baze. Plus he is a couple years younger. So if you had to pick Baze at 14-15 mil or Crabbe at 12-14 mil. Who you got?

We are upset for trading a 5 foot 9 guard who was picked 54 for more cash than the pivk was worth which may help sign Horford and another big FA? Sigh.....

So DMC AND 8 for Sap and 21???? Im sure the Kings would go for that. Yall may balk but I'd rather do a Gay/8/Mcelmore for Sap/21....if and only if...we got the nod that we could flip 8/12/minn 1/THJ (or mcelmore) for Jimmy Butler. Even that may be expecting to much of a return for Sap.

If we are going to package up all our assets for Buddy, I'd much rather see how far 12, 21, Minny's 1, and THJ would get us in the Jimmy Butler sweepstakes. Looking at that I'm not sure that's anywhere close to what they would ask...but it's a starting point.
