Nothing official yet, but the Texas people are talking like it's a done deal, announcement Monday or Tuesday, big money with part of it coming from private interests. There is really nothing coming from Alabama people, other than waiting a week for Saban to sign a contract extension for $7 mil a year.

I would say Shelden and Childress tie for the worst picks. Their limitations were apparent to everyone before the draft. We were picking 5th and 6th overall, IIRC, and we pick guys with such low future potential?In hindsight, Marvin was a bad pick, but keep in mind at the time of that draft, the majority of GMs believed Marvin was the potential star of that draft class.

If Horford is indicating that he doesn't want to be here anymore (and I wouldn't blame him for it), it would be stupid not to trade him.

This is one I would take a chance on, as long as the price is right. It sounds as though he has a better attitude than Bynum.

NY this year: fewest assists in the league, also fewest turnovers. Woody's standard plan that works well in the regular season, not so well in the playoffs.

Not on most NBA teams. It is fairly common for a star player to get pissed at a head coach, and get him fired in short order. What this tells me is that Ferry is no longer trying to placate Josh.

If LD did bench Josh, he would have had to have the backing of Ferry, which would be a big tell as to whether Ferry will try to resign Josh.

What's that saying, "The only thing scarier than seeing Josh Smith on the opposing team is seeing him on your team."

I think what Ferry has going for him is that he refused to take the job until ownership agreed to give him total authority in running the team. I have seen a lot of evidence that was not true with Knight and Sund.

I am starting to suspect that this potential trade is solely about what other teams would have to pay us asset-wise to take a bad contract off their hands. Josh Smith's side of the trade just allows the numbers to work.

If Ferry is able to get Sanders out of this mess, he needs to be nominated for the Hall of Fame.

LOL at the thought of Josh and Ellis on the same team. What a train wreck that would be.

I think we are about to find out the market price for Josh Smith, and we are not going to like it.
