  1. "This team should have been broken up two years ago."

  3. Which I believe is after the draft? Makes me think Josh gets traded at the draft.
  4. 1. What is the earliest date Josh could sign a new contract with the Hawks if it were offered to him?2. Is it legal for Josh and the Hawks to have discussions before that date?
  5. So if we do this deal, we are giving up Horford in order to get rid of Johnson's contract, plus one season of Dwight-Josh and not much else. The only way this makes sense is if we can get Dwight and Josh to sign new deals with us.
  6. If we do this deal, would we be able to sign and trade Dwight at the end of next season should he decide to walk?
  7. Looking at Josh's blocked shots and offensive rebounds from last season and the start of this season, it sure looks like his athleticism is starting to decline. Most veteran players compensate by playing smarter, but Josh...
  8. Singleton sounds like a bigger Bruce Bowen. He needs to be on a team with a good low post scorer to cover up his lack of offensive skills. I don't think he would fit in with our offensive scheme.
  9. LOL at ESPN comparing Childress to George Gervin, who had a pretty good jumpshot. Childress wasn't a bust, but he wasn't worthy of a #6 pick either. I remember the surprised reaction on draft night when that pick was announced.
  10. On the Shelden pick I think ASG is to blame. BK basically telegraphed that he was not in charge for that pick. Another bad one that makes me wonder is the Josh Childress pick. Everyone knew Childress had major limitations (jump shot, too weak for SF, too slow for SG) going into that draft. Why did we pick him over Deng or Iguodala?
  11. I believe if he doesn't get his weight under control this off-season, he will continue to decline. Leaping ability and getting fat do not mix. If Josh's knees start acting up, he will be next to worthless.
  12. I have to think that Thibodeau is drilling Boozer and Deng on how to dare Josh to shoot the jumper. It's the logical thing to do.
  13. I think the common complaint is going to be "Why does LD keep playing Crawford at the point?" Because of Hinrich's injury, I don't feel good about this one at all.
  14. Ringgold/Catoosa county was devastated. A Motel 8 at the I-75/Ringgold exit was hit, and they are still digging bodies out. The same cell that hit Tuscaloosa ran through Rome, haven't heard anything about damage there, yet.

  16. I agree with Reddawg. JJ could be a great SF if he didn't shy away from contact. As he gets older and loses what little quickness he had, there is going to be more and more pressure on him to move to SF. Of course, like other Hawks players, he will resist doing what would be best for the team.
  17. The conclusion I keep coming to is that Josh has more pull with the owners than Drew or Woodson. It seems the head coach can't afford to make an enemy of Josh.
  18. Hawkshomer, thanks. 4th quarter: Josh 3-7 Joe 2-5 Al 2-3 Crawford 1-3 Zaza 0-2 Marvin 0-1 Hinrich 0-1
  19. Anybody know of a site that shows who is taking the shots in the 4th quarter?
  20. I think I just found my new sig.
  21. I think Hinrich was a good move because if we hadn't done it, we would have went into the off season thinking we just need to fix the hole at PG. We now know better.
  22. Selective enforcement was one of the issues that did Woodson in. When a coach is perceived as unfair, the players getting the shaft start showing their resentment by tuning the coach out. It's deja vue all over again.
