  1. This is pretty much in line with what I expected the trade offers to be. A bad contract plus a young player and/or a draft pick to sweeten the deal. Josh's contract situation really kills his trade value.
  2. I think Kobe is one of 4 players in the NBA that has a no trade clause. I don't see him waiving it to come to Atlanta.

  4. The problem is that this is the NBA, meaning the star players have more pull than the head coaches. Gearon didn't help the situation with his "Josh is our LeBron" statement a few years back. The only way Josh is going to toe the line is if he is on a team where he is way down the totem pole, and the coach therefore doesn't fear him.
  5. AI's gift was being quicker than everyone else. At 37, I don't see how that could be true any more.

    Greg Oden

He has had 3 micro-fracture surgeries on his knees, is that some kind of record?

  8. That is somewhat of an intriguing idea. I know most of the board thinks we should get more for Josh, but I just don't see his trade value due to him being a UFA shortly, combined with what would be a fair contract for him.

    Josh Smith

Was Ferry in Cleveland when the Boozer betrayal took place?
  10. Osh, because Osh has no j.Kudos to whoever came up with that one a while back.
  11. I think the window has closed for getting anything significant for Josh. I think the only reason a team would trade for him would be to get rid of a contract. Trading for him doesn't make sense otherwise.

  13. I get the feeling that because of:1. His contract situationand2. Teams don't want to give him a long max contract...he doesn't have much trade value right now. I think the only reason a team would trade for him right now is to get rid of salary.
  14. From the article: I suspect the opposite will be true. Josh Smith is likely to view the departure of JJ as a green light to fire up even more jumpers. This will make us worse, not better.
  15. Just found this, may have been posted before:http://www.sportingcharts.com/articles/nba/the-nbas-best-defensive-players-%282011-2012%29.aspx

    Hawks Offense?

I think you're right. This roster allows the Hawks to say "We tried to build a team DH would find tempting. We knew it was a risk, and it just didn't work out. Now we rebuild." I think once the Howard situation resolves itself, and IF he doesn't end up here, Josh probably gets dealt.
  17. I have been reading about him waiving his early-termination option in March, and I can't make sense of it. He is one flaky dude, and I wouldn't risk much in trying to get him.
  18. It's Horford by default, because it now doesn't make sense to keep Josh.
  19. I am concerned about his knee:http://www.clipsnation.com/2011/12/21/2648170/everything-i-know-about-chris-pauls-knee-s
  20. How about Two-Face, just flip a coin to decide whether he's going to be good or bad.
  21. Let's see, no major holes in his game, excellent shooting form, deferred to older players as a freshman, did not light it up his first year as was expected, entered the draft before showing he was capable of being the lead dog at the college level, projected to be the no. 2 pick based mainly on his potential. Does this remind you of anyone?
  22. Look at the last 4 games of the season:http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/s/surabo01/gamelog/2004/
  23. We are a team that is closing in on a rebuild. No good coach would want to step into this situation right now.
  24. I don't know about the financial aspects, but when we make the decision to rebuild, we will have to get rid of Joe ASAP. Will it be this summer, who knows?
