Keep in mind that FG, FGA, and FG% includes 3 pt. shots. I subtracted the 3 pt shots made and attempted from the totals and this is what I got: Marvin 08-09 230 made 467 attempted = .49250 2 pt.% 09-10 262 made 532 attempted = .49248 Josh 08-09 392 made 762 attempted = .514 09-10 504 made 999 attempted = .508 Al 08-09 312 made 593 attempted = .526 09-10 466 made 846 attempted = .552 Observations: Marvin has been consistent over the last two seasons, that is the reason I went to 5 digits on his percentage. Josh has actually regressed slightly. Only 1.6% separated Marvin and Josh last season.

Marvin= underachiever with unfulfilled potential. Chillz= overachiever with significant holes in his game. If we trade Marvin and bring back Chillz as a starter, it won't be long before we are looking for a SF.

Chillz lack of a jumpshot makes me wonder how well he would fit into a motion offense.

If you leave the contract on the table, Joe is going to treat it as his fallback plan. If he signs with us because nothing else worked out for him, just see how long it takes him to start demanding a trade. Do you really want a maxed-out, uncommitted Joe on the team?

Let me add to this thought the fact that they blocked firing Woodson because they didn't want to pay 2 head coaches, and LD is now the lowest paid head coach in the league.I am having a hard time discerning ASG's intentions right now.

Something to think about. 3 years ago, Orlando gave this kind of deal to Rashard Lewis (6 years/118 Million). Maybe they are thinking that Joe could be moved to a team looking for that final piece, even with an outrageous contract.

Remember the Hubie Brown radio interview that talked about coaching and offensive systems? I seem to recall him saying about Pierce in that interview that Pierce hadn't lost a half-step, he had lost a full step. I have my doubts that Pierce is going to get what he wants.

IIRC, Ray Allen has been diagnosed with Obsessive/Compulsive disorder, or something like that. He probably is not team captain material.
