Did you listen/read the article....OKC had a deal with Toronto that if Stephen Adams was gone they'd trade them #12 and Toronto would take Giannis. Hawks had picks #17 and #18. What's your proof of the willing trade partners that the Hawks turned down?

It's ok to have the picks but finding a WILLING trade partner would also help. It's a two way street.

I will ALWAYS blame Ferry for allowing LD to tag along with him scouting in Europe before the draft knowing there was a chance he would not renew his contract.

I understand the sentiment of both Plumlee and Bazemore being overpaid but as it currently stands neither are prohibiting us from taking on a bad contract for picks or siging a FA if we choose. We can have up to $30 mil in capspace even with their contracts. Sending out an asset, even pick #33 is not good asset management based on the current team structure, we are in asset collection mode, not giving them away. Next offseason there is value in their expiring contracts.

It's like they think we are new to this. Like they're the only long suffering Hawks fan. My first live Hawks game, woke that morning all excited. Nique got traded - and I'm still here rooting for this team. I'm a glutten for punishment I guess.

Well it's important to know if he'll be an ISO guy or Pace and Space. Will it be run n gun like Houston or slow and methodical like Utah. Will he have a switch all PnR on defense like Woody? It matters and I want to know.

Even if you are developing the young players, there has to be an offensive and defensive philosophy, style of play etc.

No gold post moving here, i didnt bring up Lebron. Giannis has not been a star for 5 years though, he's been in the league 5 years. Like I said before, last season was the 1st year he was trending to stardom. This season definitely.

C'mon Peo.... 1. Lebron is in a class by himself, there is LeBron and everybody else and he's doing this for 8 straight ECF appearances. 2. LBJ needed Dwayne and Bosh the first time around to win a ring. 3. The East is sorry, LBJs competition is weak. Indy had more fight in them than the cRaptors.

What we've seen is that a star player alone is not enough. Unless you have complementary pieces, a good system and good coaching you won't get far. DeRozan shrinks when the light is brightest, that's a him problem (8 and 13 points in last 2 games). Giannis played well in a losing effort.

Bad coaching- Kidd Giannis 'star' trajectory started last year, this is year 2 for him. He needs an improved jump shot and a 3 ball. Teams pack the paint against him and there are no other reliable 3 point shooters to clear the paint. Luxury Tax - bad GM overpaying guys like Delly, Snelly, Telly and Henson. Bad personell in subsequent drafts selecting 'length'. That team lacks shooting and all the supporting cast plays the same way.
