  1. It's so obvious its most of their first time watching a Hawks game. Hilarious. These clowns parrot narratives all year long and don't bother to actually watch games.
  2. And the best thing about the play in games was folks told me all year that Ball and Garland are as good or better than Trae. Not-facts.
  3. Oh and the Holman was on one tonite. He was giving it to everybody. Said the one ref who called that phantom foul on Okongwu that was later overturned via challenge, is the "worst ref in basketball". Said he has no business in the playoffs.
  4. Aye, did anybody see Lady Gaga or the Weeknd performing at halftime of that 1st quarter? Cavs fans out there acting like they won several super bowls in the first 12 minutes. Guess they figured the cavs would keep shooting 90% from 3 all game?
  5. I'd love to see Lauri Markkanen's face when he realizes the stats for this game don't officially count. Haha, he had the game of his life and no one'll ever know.
  6. What Trae did to Chris Levert's knees was criminal. The slander after the fact should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. That little hop by Levert, after he got done with his Deion Sanders-esque backpeddle'n, was just ..... well, atleast he tried?
  7. My fear is Mobley/Allen being able to break up Trae's passes, especially when they run high PnRoll. Leading to fast break buckets for CLE. Kevin Joseph Heurter came out last game with that serial killer look in his eyes. Hope he keeps that same energy tonite. If he and Bogd have average games, that'll go a long way to helping our cause. And somebody's gotta run Love off the 3pt line.
  8. He'll play and he'll be fine as long as he doesn't get hacked juuuuust right. I mean, I'm not saying they should look to do it. But IIWII. Gonna be a tough game regardless. Their bigs aren't stiffs like CHA's so we'll have to be smarter. Our shooters gotta show up and we gotta gangbang the boards. What?
  9. Ok, I just watched this and the only appropriate reaction is .. The cinematography, the lyrics, the vocals ... so how many Oscar-Grammy's did this win? @Spud2nique, why have you not brought this to my attention before now. This could be the intro-song to our reality TV show.

    The Play-In

Oh no. Me reacting to the news of a team being without a guy due to HASP ....
  11. Gotta steal the haters' line again, "Bwah, that's just 'cause he's got the ball in his hands all tha time."
  12. Just need somebody to carry the scoring load early since Trae will get special attention (most likely) from the start. Make the right play/read and no hot-potato'ing. Let it fly, KevinBoGallo.
  13. Bro, how many times do you have to see the "fan" with a jersey worn over his dress shirt, tucked into his pants, and wearing a crisp hat he obviously bought on the way to his seat going corporate-crazy looking into the camera after the Hawks make a play ... to know he probably got them seats 'cause he's some exec at AT&T or wherever? That's almost as bad as his kid. The 20-something sitting next to him wearing skinni jeans, designer sweatshirt, sunglasses, bling, the newest retro-J's on his smartphone all game, who's only there 'cause Kyrie's his fav player. Aiight, just make sure you keep that same energy when you look at MIA's early crowd.
  14. I spoke with the judges and we agreed to dock you cool points for failing to go 'fan-bivalence' here. But you're wrong about traffic here not being unique. tcampst mentioned it a bit in his post but the manner in which the city was built greatly exacerbates the problem. Even in cities like Chicago which are essentially built in a grid-like format (for lack of a better descr.), traffic can be bad but manageable. Atlanta is built like a bowl of spaghetti. Doesn't take much to completely throw things out of whack. Even under normal circumstances traffic is not manageable for that reason. Now, if you told us the arena was half-empty for most of the game, I'd be in lock-step with you. That was the case pre-Trae, for reasons we can discuss another (series of) day(s). Fan support has been markedly better these days, traffic-related issues notwithstanding.
  15. This is actually a brilliant rundown. Even though it comes from a carpetbagguh. I kid, I kid. I kid? @shakes it may seem improbable that traffic would cause the problem(s) you illustrated in your post but, for reasons thecampst listed and more, that is the reality in this city. And I will never forget the Yankees failing.... FAILING... to sell out playoff games not that long ago. So folks can miss me with the concept that they're super fans or w/e up norf. Agreed. Now you have to do a rundown on all of us. I'll write mine for you, "Yeah kg's a good poster. I model my life based on his musings."
  16. Finally, at long last, you have made the list.......
  17. Love scares me for the 1st qtr. Hope he blows his wad early. What? It's a metaphor. Whaaat? And I've witnessed Rondo literally lose balance on his own and fall out of bounds. I'm a little scared but .... I mean he literally just lost balance and fell outta bounds.
  18. Need moar DeAngry Hunter.
  19. Media tryna make 'fetch' a thing so bad with him. Gotta give him something... Fax.
  20. A rare installment of 'I've Heard Enough' ... If you listen to Antonio Davis speak about the PeliCan'ts (the org that pays his bills), you might think they went 83-0 this year. My goodness, they started the show talking about how great their win was and how great they played this year and how great this and that was ... I'm thinking, "waita minute ... these teams were 10+ games under .500, why're they even here?" This game was an example of why the play-in doesn't work. Neither these teams belong in the postseason in any way shape or form. But this dude act like they finna 'shock the world'. He out here talking about Herb Jones need to be on all-nba defense lists and whatnot. But, when asked about the Hawks, he out here talking about Alex Caruso is as good as Heurter, Hunter, etc. Like, huh?
  21. I carry an appropriate amount of 'worry' because anything can happen, plus it's a road game. Knowing the Cavs are probably gonna go with their primo defensive stoppah(sic), Okoro, on Trae eases that worry some. Speaking of stoppah's, do the Martin twins have another brother? I wouldn't mind having one of them on our team. They aren't the best or highest IQ players but they play hard and have a decent general skillset.
  22. Haha, dude blocked an aging Lebron a year or so ago and figured he was 'that dude'. Guess he took his ball and went waaay home. Him saying he's done with the NBA is like me saying I'm done with (insert p*rn star's name).
